RUSSELL DICKERSON BOOKENDS CMA FEST WITH FESTIVAL OPENING AND NISSAN STADIUM SET, DELIVERING A FETTY WAP SURPRISE “THAT WON’T BE FORGOTTEN”

Multi-Platinum entertainer Russell Dickerson capped off a career-defining CMA Fest 2026 weekend Sunday night (6/7), with an electrifying Nissan Stadium performance delivering one of the festival’s most talked-about moments. The milestone set kicked off with fan-favorite hits “Blue Tacoma,” “Yours” and current single, “Worth Your Wild” before Dickerson surprised the crowd by bringing out rap icon Fetty Wap for the live debut of their new collaboration, “BOOTS.” The pair kept the energy soaring with a performance of Fetty Wap’s chart-topping smash “Trap Queen,” creating one of the weekend’s biggest crossover moments. The surprise appearance sent fans into a frenzy, with The Tennessean noting, “the crowd lost its mind, and every phone in the house went up.” Dickerson also enlisted the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders to join the celebration, delivering an “onstage moment that won’t be forgotten any time soon” (American Songwriter).

Earlier in the week, Dickerson officially kicked off CMA Fest 2026 with a packed performance on the Chevy Riverfront Stage before serving as the festival’s coveted Artist of the Day. As CMA Artist of the Day, Dickerson participated in a packed schedule of fan-focused events, highlighted by a special Artist-on-Artist conversation hosted by country music icon Keith Urban at CMA’s Fan Fair X inside Music City Center. During the session, Urban interviewed Dickerson to celebrate his career journey, songwriting success and growing impact on country music, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at one of the genre’s most exciting stars. The day continued with performances at the SiriusXM Music Row Happy Hour, a “Blue Tacomies” Fan Club Party and a late-night performance at Spotify House at Old Red. Across every stop, Dickerson brought the energy, enthusiasm and fan connection that have become hallmarks of his live show, helping set the pace for an unforgettable weekend in Music City. From opening CMA Fest on the Chevy Riverfront Stage to closing out the weekend with a breakout Nissan Stadium debut, Dickerson delivered a landmark hometown celebration that underscored his growing status as one of country music’s premier live entertainers.

About Russell Dickerson

He burst onto the scene with a remarkable run of # 1 hits — “Yours” (3X Platinum), “Blue Tacoma” (2X Platinum), “Love You Like I Used To” (2X Platinum), “Every Little Thing” (Platinum), “God Gave Me a Girl,” and most recently the Platinum-certified “Happen to Me” — cementing his reputation as one of country music’s most consistent hitmakers. Surpassing 4 billion career streams, Dickerson has paired genre-blending sonics with heartfelt songwriting, from the soul-infused 2X Platinum duet “She Likes It” (with Jake Scott) to arena-ready anthems that showcase both swagger and sincerity.

His sold-out live show became the driving force behind his fourth studio album, FAMOUS BACK HOME, a high-energy, confidence-fueled project that mirrors the electricity of his SOLD-OUT RUSSELLMANIA TOUR — now extended through 2026.

Blending country-soul, ‘80s rock, and modern pop, FAMOUS BACK HOME captures Dickerson at his boldest and most personal.
