Bottom Line Up Front at Running Back
Running back’s damage this week is concentrated in one building: Pittsburgh is down to Jaylen Warren on a bad shoulder as its lone healthy back after Rico Dowdle’s toe injury, and it is not alone — Denver, Tennessee and Chicago each have a real Sunday game-time decision at the position. Green Bay’s Josh Jacobs remains on the Commissioner’s Exempt List with no return date attached.
Of the 74 running backs on this board, 23 are out or doubtful, 2 carry a Questionable tag that decides itself on gameday, and 47 were listed at some point this week but finished it with no designation at all. 2 are still waiting on tags that do not file until Saturday.
Below is every fantasy-relevant running back across all 32 teams carrying an injury or an absence, with the final designation, what the injury actually is, how long that class of injury normally takes to heal, where each player sits on his team’s depth chart, and who stands to gain if he can’t go.
Who is on this report?
James Conner (ARI), Josh Jacobs (GB), Jonathon Brooks (CAR), Isiah Pacheco (DET), Rico Dowdle (PIT), Malik Davis (DAL), Jonah Coleman (DEN), Isaac Guerendo (SF), Adam Randall (BAL), Trey Sermon (ATL), Trevor Etienne (CAR), Chris Collier (LV), Jordan Mason (MIN), Myles Montgomery (NE), Ty Chandler (NO), Chip Trayanum (NYJ), Trey Benson (ARI), Brittain Brown (CHI), Dylan Sampson (CLE), Zach Charbonnet (SEA), Jeremy McNichols (WAS), Jaylen Wright (MIA), Kene Nwangwu (NYJ), Jaylen Warren (PIT), Tyjae Spears (TEN), Saquon Barkley (PHI), Kyle Monangai (CHI), Chuba Hubbard (CAR), D’Andre Swift (CHI), Quinshon Judkins (CLE), Javonte Williams (DAL), J.K. Dobbins (DEN), Jahmyr Gibbs (DET), Ashton Jeanty (LV), De’Von Achane (MIA), Aaron Jones (MIN), Reggie Gilliam (NE), TreVeyon Henderson (NE), Travis Etienne Jr. (NO), Cam Skattebo (NYG), Breece Hall (NYJ), Jadarian Price (SEA), Christian McCaffrey (SF), Tony Pollard (TEN), Jacory Croskey-Merritt (WAS), Jeremiyah Love (ARI), Brian Robinson (ATL), Ty Johnson (BUF), Samaje Perine (CIN), Emari Demercado (DAL), RJ Harvey (DEN), DJ Giddens (IND), Keaton Mitchell (LAC), DeeJay Dallas (MIN), Rhamondre Stevenson (NE), Alvin Kamara (NO), Tank Bigsby (PHI), Kaelon Black (SF), Rachaad White (WAS), Tyler Goodson (DAL), LeQuint Allen Jr. (JAX), Ollie Gordon II (MIA), Najee Harris (NYG), Isaiah Davis (NYJ), Will Shipley (PHI), Emanuel Wilson (SEA), Sean Tucker (TB), Kaytron Allen (WAS), Israel Abanikanda (DAL), Kendre Miller (NO), Tyrone Tracy Jr. (NYG), Pierre Strong (GB), Audric Estime (NO), Kyle Juszczyk (SF)
What changed since Week 2
Across the 74 running backs here: 13 are new to the report, 14 improved or cleared outright, 1 got worse, and 46 are carrying the same status they had a week ago. The pattern worth internalizing: the Week 2 designations that resolved upward mostly stayed resolved, and the new names on this list came off the field in Week 2’s games, not out of the training room.
Waiver wire: who gains if these names sit
- If James Conner (ARI) can’t go — Tyler Allgeier is Arizona’s clear early-down RB1 with Jeremiyah Love in a complementary passing-down role behind him
- If Josh Jacobs (GB) can’t go — Green Bay is running a genuine three-way committee with no lead back. Chris Brooks (RB1 on the published chart), Kaleb Johnson (the Week 3 snap leader among the group) and MarShawn Lloyd (who fell to RB3 in the Week 3 snap counts) all split work. Through two weeks Lloyd had 19 carries for 57 yards and a TD, Brooks 11 for 40, Johnson 8 for 32. Pierre Strong and Damon Bankston (both DEV) are practice-squad depth.
- If Jonathon Brooks (CAR) can’t go — Chuba Hubbard (RB1) is the primary beneficiary and now has the backfield essentially to himself – he is the 27-year-old team captain with 22 carries for 102 yards and a TD through two games. AJ Dillon (RB2) inherits the change-of-pace and short-yardage role and becomes the direct handcuff. Anthony Tyus III and Ahmani Marshall (both DEV) are the practice-squad depth. Carolina worked out free-agent Austin Ekeler on Sept 23, 2026 but was not expected to sign him that day – watch that thread, because an Ekeler signing would cut directly into Dillon’s passing-down snaps.
- If Isiah Pacheco (DET) can’t go — His absence is already priced in — Sione Vaki (RB2) has the complementary job and Jacob Saylors (RB3) is the third back. The real beneficiary is Jahmyr Gibbs (RB1), whose touch share is elevated because Detroit never replaced Pacheco.
- If Rico Dowdle (PIT) can’t go — Jaylen Warren (RB1, himself Questionable with a shoulder) is the direct and primary beneficiary and becomes the clear lead back. Eli Heidenreich (RB3) moves into the backup role and would be the emergency lead if Warren’s shoulder flares. Practice-squad backs Travis Homer, Max Hurleman and Lew Nichols III are elevation candidates.
- If Malik Davis (DAL) can’t go — Emari Demercado is the clear-cut Javonte Williams handcuff and the RB2. Tyler Goodson (signed off the Atlanta practice squad Sept 15, 2026) is RB3. Israel Abanikanda re-signed to the practice squad Sept 17, 2026 and is the emergency body.
- If Jonah Coleman (DEN) can’t go — RJ Harvey (RB2) is the direct beneficiary and is back to full practice, so he reclaims the passing-down and change-of-pace work Coleman inherited in Week 2. J.K. Dobbins (RB1) gets a slightly larger workload ceiling. Tyler Badie (RB4, ACT) is the emergency third back and would be elevated in the rotation; Cody Schrader (DEV) is the practice-squad insurance.
- If Adam Randall (BAL) can’t go — Rasheen Ali (RB3) holds the depth role Randall would compete for, with practice-squad RB Jonathan Ward as the emergency body behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
- If Trey Sermon (ATL) can’t go — Bijan Robinson (RB1) and Brian Robinson (RB2) are the active backfield. Cash Jones and Khalil Herbert (both DEV) are the practice-squad depth. Tyler Goodson, who had been the other depth option, was signed away by Dallas off Atlanta’s practice squad.
- If Trevor Etienne (CAR) can’t go — Chuba Hubbard (RB1) and AJ Dillon (RB2) are the active backfield in his absence. Anthony Tyus III and Ahmani Marshall (both DEV) are the practice-squad options if Carolina needs a body.
- If Jordan Mason (MIN) can’t go — His absence is what created the current structure: Aaron Jones (RB1) is carrying the backfield, DeeJay Dallas (RB2) is the handcuff, and Demond Claiborne (RB3) is the rookie third option. Minnesota signed Jaret Patterson to the practice squad in the week of Sept 22, 2026 explicitly because of the thinned room.
- If Ty Chandler (NO) can’t go — Travis Etienne Jr. (RB1), Alvin Kamara (RB2), CJ Donaldson (RB3) and Kendre Miller (RB4) hold the active backfield roles, with Zamir White (DEV) the lone practice-squad running back now that Audric Estime has been waived off IR with an injury settlement.
- If Brittain Brown (CHI) can’t go — His roster spot is already absorbed — Roschon Johnson (RB3) holds the third active back job, with Salvon Ahmed and Zavier Scott (both DEV) on the practice squad as elevation candidates. N/A in any meaningful fantasy sense.
- If Dylan Sampson (CLE) can’t go — Raheim Sanders (RB2) and Jaleel McLaughlin (RB3) have split the work behind Quinshon Judkins in his absence, with McLaughlin handling most of the change-of-pace and passing-down snaps Sampson would otherwise take.
- If Jeremy McNichols (WAS) can’t go — Already accounted for — Kaytron Allen holds the RB3 role, with Craig Reynolds and Robert Henry Jr. (both DEV) as practice-squad depth.
- If Jaylen Wright (MIA) can’t go — Ollie Gordon II (RB3) is the direct beneficiary and moves into the RB2 role behind De’Von Achane — he becomes the primary handcuff and would carry the load if Achane went down. DJ Herman (FB) absorbs short-yardage and goal-line work. Jarquez Hunter (DEV) and Carlos Washington (DEV) are practice-squad elevation candidates. The larger effect is on De’Von Achane, whose already-dominant snap share has one fewer body to share with.
- If Kene Nwangwu (NYJ) can’t go — Isaiah Davis (RB3) covers the RB depth. Braelon Allen (RB2) is the primary backup to Breece Hall and the real handcuff. Al-Jay Henderson (DEV) is a practice-squad elevation option. For kick returns specifically the Jets would need to designate an alternative, most likely Isaiah Williams or a practice-squad elevation. Breece Hall’s workload is unaffected.
- If Jaylen Warren (PIT) can’t go — Eli Heidenreich (RB3) would become the lead back by default, an alarming proposition for Pittsburgh given Rico Dowdle is already OUT. Practice-squad backs Travis Homer, Max Hurleman and Lew Nichols III would be elevation candidates. If both Warren and Dowdle were unavailable, Pittsburgh would likely need a practice-squad elevation to field a functional backfield.
- If Tyjae Spears (TEN) can’t go — Julius Chestnut and Nicholas Singleton would absorb his change-of-pace/passing-down touches if Spears sits
How to read this report
These are final designations, not midweek practice notes, so they mean what they say. A few timing wrinkles apply this week:
- Green Bay and Atlanta have already played. The Falcons beat the Packers 35-14 on Thursday night, September 24. For those two clubs Week 3 is settled — what matters is who got hurt in the game and what it means from Week 4 on.
- The Eagles play at Chicago on Monday night, September 28, so Philadelphia does not file its final game-status report until Saturday. Any Eagles player listed here is Friday practice participation with the final designation still to come.
- A player listed with no designation is good news. Several names below appear on an official report with a blank game-status column — that is a club formally declining to tag them, which is stronger than never having been listed at all.
Reserve-list designations — injured reserve, PUP, the Commissioner’s Exempt List, suspension — are roster transactions and are settled regardless of the day. A player placed on in-season injured reserve must miss a minimum of four games.
Ruled out or unavailable (21)
Officially ruled out, or on a reserve list. Plan around these.
James Conner — ARI (Reserve — was Arizona’s presumptive RB1 before the season began)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as RSR (Reserve/Injured, Designated to Return) on the official nfl.com Cardinals roster as of Sept 25, 2026; this reserve status outranks the underlying injury for practice/game eligibility purposes.
- Practice this week: Not applicable — he is on the reserve list and ineligible to practice or play until formally activated.
- Injury: Foot injury, described as complications carried over from the foot injury that ended his 2025 season in Week 3
- When it happened: Placed on Injured Reserve (Designated to Return) on August 30, 2026
- Typical recovery for this injury: IR-designated-to-return players must miss a minimum of four games from the transaction date before returning to practice
- Expected back to full health: Earliest eligible to return to practice/be activated is Week 5 (early-to-mid October 2026); no guarantee he is ready that exact week
- Next game: OUT for Sunday Sept 27 vs. San Francisco — ineligible to be activated
- Next four weeks: Out Weeks 3 and 4 by rule; earliest possible return is Week 5, pending a corresponding roster move and health confirmation from the club
- Who benefits if he sits: Tyler Allgeier is Arizona’s clear early-down RB1 with Jeremiyah Love in a complementary passing-down role behind him
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — remains on Reserve/Injured, Designated to Return.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in redraft leagues right now; stash only in deep dynasty/keeper formats given his uncertain Week 5 timeline
Josh Jacobs — GB (Would be the unquestioned RB1 and bell-cow — currently off the active depth chart entirely while on the Commissioner’s Exempt List)
- Status: EXEMPT — (c) official reserve-list status. Verified as status code EXE on https://www.nfl.com/teams/green-bay-packers/roster as of Sept 25, 2026. He is on the Commissioner’s Exempt List under the NFL Personal Conduct Policy. This reserve-list status outranks everything else about the situation: it is not an injury, and no game-status designation applies. He is paid but may not practice, attend team activities or play, and Green Bay may not activate him — only the Commissioner’s office can.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. Players on the Commissioner’s Exempt List are barred from practicing with the club and are not carried on the participation report.
- Injury: None. This is a legal and disciplinary matter, not a physical injury. He is physically healthy.
- When it happened: N/A — no injury. The relevant dates are procedural: he was placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List in early September 2026 and has missed all three Green Bay games to date, including the Thursday Sept 24 Week 3 game vs Atlanta.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — no medical recovery applies. The governing timeline is the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy investigation. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has reported Jacobs could face a four- to six-game suspension once the league concludes its review, with credit for time already served on the exempt list. That credit is the key mechanic: if a six-game ban lands and the three exempt games count, he could be eligible as early as Week 7.
- Expected back to full health: Physically available now; administratively unavailable. THIS IS THE KEY UPDATE SINCE SEPT 18: on Sept 19, 2026, Brown County Circuit Court Judge Marc Hammer DENIED the motion to permanently seal the case evidence and lifted the temporary sealing order, sending the records to the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department to handle under Wisconsin’s public-records balancing test. That removes the barrier to the NFL obtaining the surveillance video, which means the league investigation can now move to a conclusion. Separately, Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery (a $1,000 fine) and criminal damage to property (deferred judgment, follow-up hearing set for Sept 10, 2027). No return date has been announced. A realistic earliest on-field return is Week 7 (late October 2026); a longer absence is entirely plausible if the league adds suspension games beyond the exempt credit.
- Next game: Did not play in Week 3 — Green Bay’s Week 3 game was the Thursday Sept 24, 2026 night game vs the Atlanta Falcons, which the Packers lost 35-14. Jacobs was ineligible for it and will be ineligible for Week 4 at Tampa Bay on Sunday Oct 4 unless the league acts first.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Thu Sept 24 vs Atlanta): missed. Week 4 (Sun Oct 4 at Tampa Bay): expect unavailable. Week 5 (division game vs Chicago) and Week 6: the window where a resolution could plausibly land, but nothing is scheduled and the league has announced no decision date. Treat every week through Week 6 as out until the NFL says otherwise.
- Who benefits if he sits: Green Bay is running a genuine three-way committee with no lead back.
- Change since Week 2: Significant change. On Sept 18 the open item was that his former girlfriend’s attorneys had moved on Sept 16 to permanently seal the case evidence. That motion was DENIED on Sept 19, 2026 by Judge Marc Hammer, and the temporary seal was lifted — the evidence, including video, is now routed through the police department under Wisconsin’s public-records test, clearing the NFL’s path to it. His roster status itself is unchanged (still EXE), and he has now missed a third game.
Fantasy takeaway: In a 12-team full-PPR redraft league Jacobs is a hold-if-you-can-afford-it, drop-if-you-cannot. He is a top-5 back the moment he is reinstated, but you are paying a roster spot for something with no announced return date and a four-to-six-game suspension still looming on top. If you are 0-3 and need help now, cut him; if you are 2-1 with bench room, the Week 7-plus payoff is worth one seat. Do NOT chase the Green Bay committee — the three-way split behind a bottom-three run-blocking offensive line makes all of Brooks, Johnson and Lloyd unstartable outside of desperation, and PFF flatly called the split untrustworthy after Week 3.
Jonathon Brooks — CAR (Was RB2 behind Chuba Hubbard on the Sept 18 depth chart – now off the active depth chart entirely on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED – (c) official reserve-list status, which OUTRANKS any weekly game-status designation and outranks the fact that the injury happened in the Week 2 game. nfl.com’s live roster now lists him RES (No. 25) after Carolina placed him on Reserve/Injured on Wednesday Sept 23, 2026. He cannot be given Out/Doubtful/Questionable while on the list, and he does not appear on Carolina’s FINAL Friday Sept 25 report for the Sept 27 game at Cleveland.
- Practice this week: Not applicable / not reported (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not reported Wed Sept 23 -> not reported Thu Sept 24 -> not reported Fri Sept 25. He was placed on Reserve/Injured on Wednesday before the practice week began and has had surgery.
- Injury: Groin injury requiring surgery. Reported as a training-camp strain that he aggravated in the Week 2 game, after which he underwent a surgical repair. Some outlets list the body part as ‘abdomen’, which is the common adductor/core-muscle overlap with a groin diagnosis.
- When it happened: Aggravated on Sunday Sept 20, 2026 in Carolina’s Week 2 game against Atlanta, on top of an initial strain from 2026 training camp. Carolina initially called him week-to-week on Monday Sept 21, then announced surgery and the Reserve/Injured placement on Wednesday Sept 23, 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Surgical groin/adductor repair (including core-muscle/sports-hernia style procedures) typically costs an NFL running back 6-10 weeks from the date of surgery, with 8 weeks the common midpoint. Non-surgical Grade 2 groin strains run 4-6 weeks, which is why the surgical decision is the meaningful data point here. Carolina’s own announcement said ‘at least the next four weeks’ (the 2026 IR minimum), while the AP source reporting said roughly six weeks.
- Expected back to full health: Eligible to return in Week 8 under the four-game IR minimum, with the realistic football return in Week 9 – roughly the week of October 26 – November 1, 2026. Full pre-injury burst is more likely a November 2026 proposition, and that assumes no setback in a player with a torn-ACL history in both 2023 and 2024.
- Next game: OUT for the Week 3 game at Cleveland on Sunday Sept 27, 2026. He is on Reserve/Injured and ineligible. Earliest possible return is Week 8.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: OUT all four weeks – Week 3 at Cleveland (Sept 27), Week 4 vs Detroit (Sun Oct 4, 8:20 ET), Week 5 BYE, Week 6 at Philadelphia (Oct 18). Carolina’s bye in Week 5 quietly helps here, burning an IR week at no competitive cost. Earliest activation is Week 8.
- Who benefits if he sits: Chuba Hubbard (RB1) is the primary beneficiary and now has the backfield essentially to himself – he is the 27-year-old team captain with 22 carries for 102 yards and a TD through two games.
- Change since Week 2: MAJOR CHANGE since Sept 18. He was listed ACT and RB2 on the baseline depth chart and had been marked RESOLVED from a groin issue. He aggravated that groin in the Week 2 game vs Atlanta, had surgery, and was placed on Reserve/Injured on Sept 23, 2026. This is the single biggest roster change in the NFC South this week.
Fantasy takeaway: Drop Brooks in 12-team full-PPR redraft – a Week 8-9 return for a back who has now lost three straight seasons to injury is not worth a bench spot for six weeks in a 12-team league. The actionable move is the other side of it: Chuba Hubbard is now a locked-in RB2 with a clean path to 18-20 touches, and AJ Dillon is a must-add handcuff who has standalone flex value in a run-first Dave Canales offense. If you hold Hubbard, spend FAAB on Dillon this week.
Isiah Pacheco — DET (Would be RB2 behind Jahmyr Gibbs — currently off the active depth chart while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status. Verified as status code RES on https://www.nfl.com/teams/detroit-lions/roster as of Sept 25, 2026. The reserve-list status outranks the injury itself: whatever the knee and back do, Reserve/Injured makes him ineligible and no weekly game-status designation applies.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. Players on Reserve/Injured do not practice with the team and are not carried on the participation report.
- Injury: MCL sprain (knee), with an accompanying back injury. ESPN’s reporting at the time of the placement cited both.
- When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured on Sept 2, 2026, at the initial roster cutdown, before Week 1. The injury itself was sustained during the August 2026 training-camp and preseason period.
- Typical recovery for this injury: An isolated MCL sprain runs roughly 1-2 weeks (grade I), 3-6 weeks (grade II) or 6-12 weeks and occasionally surgical (grade III). The concurrent back injury is the complicating factor and is the reason Detroit chose the reserve list over a week-to-week designation. Procedurally, a player placed on IR at cutdown must miss at least four games before he is eligible to be designated to return.
- Expected back to full health: Detroit GM Brad Holmes and the club have publicly said they ‘hope’ he returns this season and that he has been ‘steadily feeling better.’ The earliest realistic activation is once his four-game minimum is served and a 21-day practice window is opened and completed — realistically late October to November 2026, i.e. Week 8 or later. He will not be available in Weeks 3-6.
- Next game: Will not play in Week 3 vs the New York Jets, Sunday Sept 27, 2026. He is ineligible.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: unavailable throughout. Detroit has not opened a practice window for him. Watch for the club to open one in the Week 6-7 range at the earliest; even then, a 21-day window means activation would follow well after.
- Who benefits if he sits: His absence is already priced in — Sione Vaki (RB2) has the complementary job and Jacob Saylors (RB3) is the third back. The real beneficiary is Jahmyr Gibbs (RB1), whose touch share is elevated because Detroit never replaced Pacheco.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was status code RES on the baseline and remains status code RES, with no practice window opened. The one refinement is the injury detail: the placement was for an MCL sprain AND a back injury, not the knee alone.
Fantasy takeaway: Droppable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league unless you have a deep IR slot. If you can stash him at no roster cost, there is late-season standalone value if he returns to a complementary role, but he is not worth an active bench spot through Week 6. Sione Vaki is the Detroit backfield player who actually matters right now.
Rico Dowdle — PIT (RB2 — second-team running back on the Ourlads Steelers depth chart behind Jaylen Warren; had been operating as the co-lead in a genuine timeshare before the injury)
- Status: OUT — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Pittsburgh on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 home game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. He is formally ruled out and will not play.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. He did not practice in any capacity on any day and was observed wearing a walking boot at practice.
- Injury: Toe injury (the Steelers have not confirmed whether this is a turf-toe/plantar-plate variant or a fracture; the boot at practice and the cart-off suggest a significant soft-tissue toe injury)
- When it happened: Suffered in the FIRST HALF of the Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots on Sept 20, 2026. He was carted off the field, remarkably returned to play in the second half, and was then ruled out for the remainder of that game. Ian Rapoport reported the injury is viewed as day-to-day, which suggests he avoided a worst-case structural diagnosis.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Turf toe / plantar-plate injury by grade — Grade 1: 1-2 weeks; Grade 2: 2-6 weeks; Grade 3: 8-12+ weeks and sometimes surgery. A simple toe contusion or sprain: 1-3 weeks. Rapoport’s day-to-day characterization combined with three straight DNPs and a boot is most consistent with a Grade 1 to low Grade 2 turf-toe variant — short-term but genuinely week-to-week.
- Expected back to full health: Best estimate for a return to practice is the Week 4 practice week (week of Sept 28-Oct 4, 2026), with a realistic full-health, unrestricted return in Week 4 (Oct 4) to Week 5 (Oct 11, 2026). Toe injuries in running backs are notoriously slow to fully resolve because push-off is directly loaded, so treat any Week 4 return as likely capped.
- Next game: OUT — formally ruled out for Week 3 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Sept 27, 2026, 1:00 PM ET at Acrisure Stadium. He will not play; do not start him under any circumstance.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 vs. Cincinnati: OUT. Week 4: plausible return given the day-to-day characterization, but likely on a reduced snap count. Weeks 5-6: expect a return to the Warren/Dowdle committee if healthy. The Weeks 3-6 window is essentially a write-off for Week 3 with escalating value from Week 4 onward, contingent on how the toe responds to load.
- Who benefits if he sits: Jaylen Warren (RB1, himself Questionable with a shoulder) is the direct and primary beneficiary and becomes the clear lead back. Eli Heidenreich (RB3) moves into the backup role and would be the emergency lead if Warren’s shoulder flares. Practice-squad backs Travis Homer, Max Hurleman and Lew Nichols III are elevation candidates.
- Change since Week 2: NEW to this report. Dowdle did not appear on the Sept 18 baseline injury list at all — he was a healthy active RB2 in a timeshare. The toe injury occurred in the Week 2 loss at New England on Sept 20 (carted off in the first half, returned, then ruled out), and he has not practiced since.
Fantasy takeaway: Bench him in 12-team full PPR — he is formally OUT for Week 3, full stop. Hold him on your bench rather than dropping: a day-to-day toe injury with a Week 4 return path and a genuine committee role on his return retains real value. The actionable move this week is to start Jaylen Warren and, if you have a spare bench spot, add Eli Heidenreich as a lottery ticket given that Pittsburgh’s only other healthy back is playing through a shoulder injury.
Malik Davis — DAL (Off the active depth chart entirely — was the RB3/change-of-pace body before the injury; the roster now reads Javonte Williams > Emari Demercado > Tyler Goodson > Hunter Luepke (FB) > Israel Abanikanda (practice squad).)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) a reserve-list roster status, which outranks any weekly game-status tag and is the reason he appears nowhere on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 game vs Baltimore. nfl.com lists him RES on the Cowboys’ official roster as of Fri Sept 25, 2026. Dallas moved him to injured reserve on Sept 12, 2026.
- Practice this week: No practice participation is filed for a player on Reserve/Injured. He did not practice Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25 and will not practice at any point in 2026.
- Injury: Non-contact hip injury requiring surgery — season-ending.
- When it happened: Suffered in practice in the week before the Week 1 season opener against the New York Giants; placed on injured reserve Sept 12, 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Surgical hip repair (labral/FAI-class or a hip-joint reconstruction) in an NFL running back is a 4-6 month rehabilitation at minimum, and non-contact hip injuries severe enough to need in-season surgery routinely run 6-9 months before full cutting and contact clearance.
- Expected back to full health: Not in 2026. A realistic return to football activity is spring 2027 (roughly March-June 2027), i.e. the 2027 offseason program.
- Next game: OUT for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. He is on Reserve/Injured and is ineligible to play.
- Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 3 (vs Baltimore), 4, 5 and 6 and for the balance of the season. Season-ending IR with surgery already performed; there is no designated-to-return path being discussed.
- Who benefits if he sits: Emari Demercado is the clear-cut Javonte Williams handcuff and the RB2. Tyler Goodson (signed off the Atlanta practice squad Sept 15, 2026) is RB3. Israel Abanikanda re-signed to the practice squad Sept 17, 2026 and is the emergency body.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Still RES. The downstream consequence has now been fully confirmed: Demercado is the outright handcuff and Goodson sits RB3 on the active roster.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in any 12-team full-PPR redraft format. Drop or leave on waivers. His only fantasy value is the one he already conferred: he cleared the path that makes Emari Demercado the handcuff worth holding.
Jonah Coleman — DEN (RB3 on Ourlads behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey, but he functioned as the de facto RB2 in Week 2 with Harvey out, and scored his first career touchdown in that game.)
- Status: OUT — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Denver on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs. the Los Angeles Rams. He is the only Bronco ruled out.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. He was the lone Bronco who did not practice on Wednesday and never got on the field all week.
- Injury: Ankle injury. Denver has not graded it publicly or specified high vs. low ankle.
- When it happened: Sustained in or immediately after the Week 2 win over Jacksonville on Sunday Sept 20, 2026 — the same game in which he scored his first career touchdown. He first appeared on the report as a DNP on Wednesday Sept 23.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A low (lateral) ankle sprain is typically 1-3 weeks: Grade 1 roughly 1-2 weeks, Grade 2 roughly 2-4 weeks. A high ankle sprain (syndesmotic) is materially worse at 4-6 weeks for Grade 1-2 and 8+ weeks or surgical tightrope for Grade 3. A three-day DNP with no IR move suggests the club expects a short-term absence rather than a multi-month one.
- Expected back to full health: If it is a low sprain, realistic return is Week 4 (vs. Seattle, early October 2026) or Week 5. Target mid-October 2026 for full, unrestricted health. If it proves to be a high ankle sprain, push that to late October / Week 7-8 and expect an IR move next week.
- Next game: OUT. He will not play in the Sunday Sept 27 Sunday Night Football game vs. the Los Angeles Rams. This is a filed, final designation, not a projection.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 vs. Rams: out, confirmed. Week 4 vs. Seattle: genuine coin flip, trending toward a return if it is a low sprain. Weeks 5-6: expected back and re-slotted at RB3 behind Dobbins and Harvey. The catch is that Harvey’s simultaneous return to full practice erases the Week 2 opportunity that made Coleman a waiver darling in the first place — even healthy he is back to the third chair.
- Who benefits if he sits: RJ Harvey (RB2) is the direct beneficiary and is back to full practice, so he reclaims the passing-down and change-of-pace work Coleman inherited in Week 2. J.K. Dobbins (RB1) gets a slightly larger workload ceiling. Tyler Badie (RB4, ACT) is the emergency third back and would be elevated in the rotation; Cody Schrader (DEV) is the practice-squad insurance.
- Change since Week 2: NEW TO THIS REPORT. He does not appear on the Sept 18 baseline at all — he was healthy and active for Week 2, where he scored. The ankle injury is entirely new since Sept 20.
Fantasy takeaway: Do not start him. If you burned FAAB on Coleman off his Week 2 touchdown, this is the bad outcome: he is out, and Harvey is healthy behind him. He is a hold only in deep leagues or if you also roster Dobbins as a handcuff-of-a-handcuff. In a 12-team full-PPR redraft he is droppable for any startable flex.
Isaac Guerendo — SF (Reserve — was RB3/depth back before the season)
- Status: PUP — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as PUP (active/Physically Unable to Perform) on the official nfl.com 49ers roster as of Sept 25, 2026.
- Practice this week: Not applicable — a player on active/PUP is barred from practicing with the team.
- Injury: Lower-body injury carried from training camp, undisclosed by the club
- When it happened: Training camp 2026
- Typical recovery for this injury: Varies by injury; PUP-list players are eligible for the practice window to open no earlier than Week 7
- Expected back to full health: Earliest practice-window eligibility is Week 7 (mid-to-late October 2026)
- Next game: OUT for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Arizona — ineligible
- Next four weeks: Out Weeks 3-6; not eligible to open his practice window until Week 7 at the earliest
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — Kaelon Black and Jordan James cover the backfield behind Christian McCaffrey
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — remains on active/PUP.
Fantasy takeaway: Deep stash-only in dynasty; no near-term redraft value
Adam Randall — BAL (Rookie RB depth — was battling for the RB4 role behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Rasheen Ali before landing on IR; holds no active depth-chart slot at present)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status, DESIGNATED TO RETURN. Status code RES on the nfl.com Ravens roster as of Sept 25, 2026. The reserve-list status OUTRANKS the circumstances of the injury itself: he cannot practice or play until his 21-day activation window is opened, so no weekly game-status designation applies.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate — ineligible to practice until his 21-day activation window is opened. No Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25 participation exists, and he appears on no Baltimore practice report.
- Injury: Undisclosed — Baltimore did not specify the nature of the injury when placing him on injured reserve with a return designation
- When it happened: Placed on injured reserve, designated to return, in late August / very early September 2026 during final roster construction. The precise date of the underlying injury was never announced by the club.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not assessable with precision because the injury was never disclosed. The IR-designated-to-return mechanism requires a minimum four-game absence, so the structural floor on his return is four games regardless of the medical timeline.
- Expected back to full health: Eligible to have his practice window opened from roughly Week 5 (Oct 4, 2026) onward. A realistic activation window is Week 5 through Week 8 (early-to-late October 2026), entirely at Baltimore’s discretion.
- Next game: OUT — ineligible to play in Week 3 at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Sept 27, 2026 in Rio de Janeiro. He remains on injured reserve with no practice window opened.
- Next four weeks: Out Weeks 3 and 4 with certainty. Weeks 5 and 6 are the first plausible activation windows, but Baltimore has no roster pressure to rush him with Henry, Hill and Ali all healthy. Expect him to remain on IR through most or all of this stretch.
- Who benefits if he sits: Rasheen Ali (RB3) holds the depth role Randall would compete for, with practice-squad RB Jonathan Ward as the emergency body behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Still on Reserve/Injured with a return designation, still status code RES, still no practice window opened.
Fantasy takeaway: Zero 12-team full-PPR relevance now or in the foreseeable future. Do not roster. Derrick Henry’s true handcuff is Justice Hill (passing downs) with Rasheen Ali the early-down contingency — Randall is not in that conversation even when healthy.
Trey Sermon — ATL (Depth running back – not on the active depth chart while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED – (c) official reserve-list status, which OUTRANKS any weekly game-status designation and outranks where the injury happened. nfl.com’s live roster lists him RES (Reserve/Injured with NO designated-to-return tag), so he is season-ending and cannot appear on the weekly injury report.
- Practice this week: Not applicable / not reported (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not reported Wed Sept 23 -> not reported Thu Sept 24 -> not reported Fri Sept 25. Players on season-ending Reserve/Injured do not appear on practice participation reports and are not permitted to practice.
- Injury: Undisclosed injury sustained during the 2026 preseason. Atlanta has not specified the body part. The league-wide IR tracking at sharpfootballanalysis.com carries him as ‘Undisclosed – Out for Season’.
- When it happened: Sustained in the 2026 preseason. Atlanta announced the Reserve/Injured placement on August 19, 2026, while the team was in Indianapolis for joint practices with the Colts – nine days after signing him on August 10, 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not determinable without a diagnosis. The operative fact is procedural rather than medical: a player placed on Reserve/Injured with no designated-to-return tag is ineligible to play for the remainder of the 2026 season regardless of how his body heals.
- Expected back to full health: Unknown medically. Irrelevant for 2026 – he cannot be activated this season. Realistic football return is the 2027 offseason.
- Next game: OUT for the Week 3 game (Thursday Sept 24, 2026 at Green Bay, already played) and OUT for every remaining 2026 game including Week 4 at New Orleans on Monday Oct 5, 2026. He is season-ending Reserve/Injured with no return mechanism.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: OUT all four weeks – at Green Bay (done), at New Orleans (Mon Oct 5), vs Baltimore, vs Chicago. There is no scenario in which he plays in 2026.
- Who benefits if he sits: Bijan Robinson (RB1) and Brian Robinson (RB2) are the active backfield. Cash Jones and Khalil Herbert (both DEV) are the practice-squad depth. Tyler Goodson, who had been the other depth option, was signed away by Dallas off Atlanta’s practice squad.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Still RES on the live nfl.com roster with no designated-to-return tag. The one addition is sourcing precision: the placement date is confirmed as August 19, 2026 via the club’s own announcement.
Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy value in 2026. Not a stash in any redraft format – he is ineligible to return this season. Drop and forget.
Trevor Etienne — CAR (Depth running back – not on the active depth chart while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED – (c) official reserve-list status, which OUTRANKS any weekly game-status designation and outranks where the injury happened. nfl.com’s live roster lists him RSR (Reserve/Injured – Designated to Return, No. 23), so he does not appear on Carolina’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 report and cannot be given Out/Doubtful/Questionable.
- Practice this week: Not applicable / not reported (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not reported Wed Sept 23 -> not reported Thu Sept 24 -> not reported Fri Sept 25. Players on Reserve/Injured do not appear on the practice participation report until their designated-to-return practice window is opened.
- Injury: Ankle – the injury that led to the Reserve/Injured placement
- When it happened: Sustained in the 2026 preseason, leading to the Reserve/Injured – Designated to Return placement before the regular season opened.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A low ankle sprain costs 1-3 weeks (Grade 1) or 3-6 weeks (Grade 2); a high ankle sprain runs 4-8 weeks and a surgically stabilized one runs 8-12 weeks. A placement that holds a player to a Week 6 return eligibility implies at minimum a high ankle sprain or a Grade 2-plus low sprain.
- Expected back to full health: Eligible to return in Week 6, the week of October 12-18, 2026. Carolina’s Week 5 BYE means he could realistically be activated for the Week 6 game at Philadelphia on Oct 18, 2026.
- Next game: OUT for the Week 3 game at Cleveland on Sunday Sept 27, 2026. He is on Reserve/Injured and ineligible to play.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: OUT Week 3 (at Cleveland, Sept 27), OUT Week 4 (vs Detroit, Sun Oct 4), Week 5 BYE, and eligible to be activated for Week 6 at Philadelphia (Oct 18). With Jonathon Brooks now on IR as well, Carolina has a real incentive to get him back the moment he is eligible – the RB room is down to Chuba Hubbard and AJ Dillon on the active roster.
- Who benefits if he sits: Chuba Hubbard (RB1) and AJ Dillon (RB2) are the active backfield in his absence. Anthony Tyus III and Ahmani Marshall (both DEV) are the practice-squad options if Carolina needs a body.
- Change since Week 2: Status unchanged since Sept 18 – still RSR on the live nfl.com roster. NEW information: the injury is now identified as an ankle with a Week 6 return eligibility, where the Sept 18 baseline could only record it as undisclosed. His path back also got clearer with Brooks going on IR.
Fantasy takeaway: Not a redraft add in 12-team full-PPR right now, but move him to your watch list. Carolina’s backfield is suddenly two-deep and he is eligible in Week 6 – if Hubbard or Dillon gets hurt before then, Etienne becomes an immediate speculative add. Dynasty managers should hold.
Chris Collier — LV (Reserve-list running back — not on the active depth chart and cannot occupy a depth role while on Reserve/Injured.)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an OFFICIAL RESERVE-LIST ROSTER STATUS carried on the Raiders’ nfl.com roster as RES, not a weekly game-status tag. This reserve-list status OUTRANKS where or when the injury happened: he is ineligible to play in the Sunday Sept 27 game at the New Orleans Saints.
- Practice this week: Not applicable — reserve-list players do not appear on the weekly practice report. Full week: no Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25 practice-report entry exists for him because Reserve/Injured players are excluded from that document by rule.
- Injury: Undisclosed by the club. The Reserve/Injured placement is the official record.
- When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured before or early in the 2026 regular season; the underlying injury dates to the preseason/cutdown window in late August 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not estimable without a named diagnosis. A Reserve/Injured placement at or before cutdown generally ends the season absent a designated-to-return slot.
- Expected back to full health: Indeterminate medically. No return to the active roster is in view through at least October 2026.
- Next game: OUT — ineligible. He cannot be activated for the Sunday Sept 27, 4:25 p.m. ET game at the New Orleans Saints.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: ineligible throughout. Treat him as unavailable for the entire stretch.
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — he is already out. Ashton Jeanty, Mike Washington Jr. and Dylan Laube are the active backs and none moves because of him.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He remains on the Raiders’ Reserve/Injured list with the same RES code.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in any 12-team full-PPR redraft format. Zero action.
Jordan Mason — MIN (Would be the complementary early-down back behind Aaron Jones — currently off the active depth chart while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status. Verified as status code RES on https://www.nfl.com/teams/minnesota-vikings/roster as of Sept 25, 2026. He is on short-term IR with a designation to return. The reserve-list status outranks the injury: regardless of how the thumb heals, he is procedurally ineligible until the minimum absence is served and a practice window is completed, and no weekly game-status designation applies to him.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. Players on Reserve/Injured do not practice with the team and are not carried on the participation report until a 21-day window is opened.
- Injury: Fractured thumb, surgically repaired.
- When it happened: The fracture occurred in Minnesota’s Week 1 game against Green Bay in early September 2026. He underwent surgery and was placed on short-term Reserve/Injured on Sept 16, 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Thumb fractures in running backs typically run 4-8 weeks depending on whether the fracture is non-displaced (often managed in a cast or with a screw and a faster return, 4-6 weeks) or involves the metacarpal base / Bennett-type pattern (6-8+ weeks). Backs return faster than receivers from hand injuries because ball security, not catching, is the limiting function, and many play in a club or cast. The surgical fixation Mason received generally supports the shorter end of that range.
- Expected back to full health: The IR placement date of Sept 16 makes him first eligible to return in Week 6, as established on the Sept 18 baseline and unchanged. That corresponds to roughly mid-October 2026. Minnesota would first need to open a 21-day practice window. He will not be available in Weeks 3, 4 or 5.
- Next game: Will not play in Week 3 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday Sept 27, 2026. He is ineligible.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sun Sept 27 at Tampa Bay), Week 4 (Sun Oct 4 vs Miami) and Week 5: ineligible throughout. Week 6: first eligible, contingent on Minnesota opening his practice window in time. Watch for the window announcement around the Week 5 practice period as the trigger.
- Who benefits if he sits: His absence is what created the current structure: Aaron Jones (RB1) is carrying the backfield, DeeJay Dallas (RB2) is the handcuff, and Demond Claiborne (RB3) is the rookie third option. Minnesota signed Jaret Patterson to the practice squad in the week of Sept 22, 2026 explicitly because of the thinned room.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Status code RES on the baseline, status code RES today, still first eligible in Week 6, with no practice window opened yet.
Fantasy takeaway: Hold him on IR if your 12-team full-PPR league has an IR slot — he is a genuine Week 6 return candidate into a real role, which is a rare thing to get for free. If you have no IR slot and a tight bench, he is a reasonable drop for a startable player, but understand you are giving up the second-best back in a 2-0 offense. Do not start him in Weeks 3-5 under any circumstance.
Myles Montgomery — NE (Not on the active depth chart — reserve/injured. When healthy he was a depth running back behind Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson and Corey Kiner, with no fantasy-relevant role.)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an official reserve-list status (status code RES on the Sept 25, 2026 nfl.com New England roster), not a weekly game-status designation. Reserve/Injured outranks and supersedes any practice or game-status tag: he is ineligible for an Out/Doubtful/Questionable designation because he is not on the active roster. He must miss a minimum of four regular-season games from the date of placement.
- Practice this week: Not reported and not applicable — a player on Reserve/Injured is barred from practicing with the team and does not appear on the official practice report. New England has not opened his 21-day practice window. Per the rule: DNP Wed Sept 23 / DNP Thu Sept 24 / DNP Fri Sept 25, by list status rather than by injury choice.
- Injury: Undisclosed. New England has not specified the injury that led to the Reserve/Injured placement.
- When it happened: Early September 2026, prior to the Sept 18 baseline. He was already on Reserve/Injured with status code RES as of the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com New England roster.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Cannot be estimated because the injury class is undisclosed. What the list status establishes: a minimum four-game absence from placement, with a 21-day practice window once New England chooses to open it, after which the club must activate him or shut him down for the season.
- Expected back to full health: Indeterminate without a disclosed diagnosis. The earliest structural return, based on the four-game minimum and an early-September placement, is roughly Week 5 to Week 6 — Oct 11 to Oct 18, 2026. New England has published no activation timeline and has not opened his practice window as of Sept 25.
- Next game: OUT — ineligible. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is on Reserve/Injured and cannot be activated for this game.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Jacksonville and Week 4: ineligible, no possibility of playing. Weeks 5-6: the first theoretically possible return window, and only if New England opens his 21-day practice window. With TreVeyon Henderson, Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner all healthy on the active roster, there is no competitive urgency to activate him.
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — he was never in the Week 3 rotation and his absence is fully absorbed by a healthy three-deep backfield of TreVeyon Henderson, Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner, plus FB Reggie Gilliam.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He remains on Reserve/Injured with status code RES on the current nfl.com roster, with no practice window opened, no activation timeline, and no injury disclosure. Note one adjacent roster correction: Lan Larison, listed as a practice-squad RB on the baseline, no longer appears on New England’s roster, and Hassan Haskins shows as CUT.
Fantasy takeaway: Irrelevant in 12-team full PPR. Do not roster. Even on activation he would be the fourth running back on the depth chart with no path to meaningful touches.
Ty Chandler — NO (Depth running back – not on the active depth chart while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED – (c) official reserve-list status, which OUTRANKS any weekly game-status designation and outranks where the injury happened. nfl.com’s live roster lists him RES (Reserve/Injured with NO designated-to-return tag, No. 32), meaning he is out for the season and cannot appear on the weekly injury report.
- Practice this week: Not applicable / not reported (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not reported Wed Sept 23 -> not reported Thu Sept 24 -> not reported Fri Sept 25. Players on season-ending Reserve/Injured are not permitted to practice and do not appear on participation reports.
- Injury: Knee – both the league-wide IR tracking at sharpfootballanalysis.com and CBS Sports carry him as a knee injury, Out for Season.
- When it happened: Sustained in the 2026 preseason, leading to the Reserve/Injured placement before the regular season opened.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A knee injury severe enough to warrant a season-ending Reserve/Injured placement with no return designation is almost certainly a major ligament tear or a significant meniscus repair. ACL reconstruction runs 9-12 months for a running back – and backs historically need the longer end of that band before their cutting burst returns. Meniscus repair runs 4-6 months.
- Expected back to full health: Not in 2026 – the roster designation forecloses it. A realistic football return is the 2027 offseason, most likely spring-to-summer 2027.
- Next game: OUT for the Week 3 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Sept 27, 2026 and OUT for every remaining 2026 game. He is season-ending Reserve/Injured with no return mechanism.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: OUT all four weeks – vs Las Vegas (Sept 27), vs Atlanta (Mon Oct 5), vs Minnesota, at the New York Giants (Oct 18). There is no scenario in which he plays in 2026.
- Who benefits if he sits: Travis Etienne Jr. (RB1), Alvin Kamara (RB2), CJ Donaldson (RB3) and Kendre Miller (RB4) hold the active backfield roles, with Zamir White (DEV) the lone practice-squad running back now that Audric Estime has been waived off IR with an injury settlement.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 – still RES with no designated-to-return tag. NEW information: the injury is now identified as a knee, where the Sept 18 baseline could only record it as an undisclosed preseason injury.
Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy value in 2026 – he is ineligible to return this season. Drop in all redraft formats.
Chip Trayanum — NYJ (Not on the active depth chart — reserve/injured. When healthy he was a depth running back behind Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis and Kene Nwangwu, with no fantasy-relevant role.)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an official reserve-list status (status code RES on the Sept 25, 2026 nfl.com New York Jets roster), not a weekly game-status designation. Reserve/Injured outranks and supersedes any practice or game-status tag: he is ineligible for an Out/Doubtful/Questionable designation because he is not on the active roster. Minimum four-game absence from placement.
- Practice this week: Not reported and not applicable — a player on Reserve/Injured is barred from practicing with the team and does not appear on the official practice report. The Jets have not opened his 21-day practice window. Per the rule: DNP Wed Sept 23 / DNP Thu Sept 24 / DNP Fri Sept 25, by list status rather than by injury choice.
- Injury: Undisclosed. The Jets have not specified the injury that led to the Reserve/Injured placement.
- When it happened: Early September 2026, prior to the Sept 18 baseline. He was already on Reserve/Injured with status code RES as of the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com New York Jets roster.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Cannot be estimated because the injury class is undisclosed. The list status establishes a minimum four-game absence from placement, with a 21-day practice window once the Jets open it, after which they must activate him or shut him down for the season.
- Expected back to full health: Indeterminate without a disclosed diagnosis. The earliest structural return, based on the four-game minimum and an early-September placement, is roughly Week 5 to Week 6 — Oct 11 to Oct 18, 2026. No activation timeline published and no practice window opened as of Sept 25.
- Next game: OUT — ineligible. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Detroit Lions. He is on Reserve/Injured and cannot be activated for this game.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Detroit and Week 4: ineligible. Weeks 5-6: the first theoretically possible return window if the Jets open his practice window. With Breece Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis all healthy and active, there is little competitive urgency — though Kene Nwangwu’s doubtful status and lack of progress marginally increases the case for adding backfield depth.
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — he was never in the Week 3 rotation. Breece Hall (RB1), Braelon Allen (RB2) and Isaiah Davis (RB3) are all healthy and active, with Andrew Beck at fullback and Al-Jay Henderson on the practice squad.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He remains on Reserve/Injured with status code RES on the current nfl.com roster, with no practice window opened, no activation timeline, and no injury disclosure.
Fantasy takeaway: Irrelevant in 12-team full PPR. Do not roster — a fifth-string running back on IR has no fantasy path even on activation. Braelon Allen is the only Jets backfield handcuff worth owning.
Trey Benson — ARI (Reserve — was in the RB rotation before the injury)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as RES (Reserve/Injured) on the official nfl.com Cardinals roster as of Sept 25, 2026, with no designation to return.
- Practice this week: Not applicable — he is on a season-ending reserve list and ineligible to practice or play.
- Injury: Knee injury requiring surgery
- When it happened: Preseason/training camp 2026
- Typical recovery for this injury: Season-ending knee surgery of this type typically requires 4-9 months depending on the specific procedure
- Expected back to full health: Not expected back in 2026; target 2027 offseason for full clearance
- Next game: OUT for the remainder of the 2026 season, including Sept 27 vs. San Francisco
- Next four weeks: Out for the season, Weeks 3-6 and beyond
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — he is not part of Arizona’s active-game rotation planning; Allgeier and Love handle the workload
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — remains on season-ending Reserve/Injured.
Fantasy takeaway: Drop in all redraft formats; irrelevant for 2026 fantasy purposes
Brittain Brown — CHI (RB depth — off the active depth chart entirely while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status. Verified as status code RES on https://www.nfl.com/teams/chicago-bears/roster as of Sept 25, 2026. His reserve-list placement outranks anything about where or how the injury occurred: regardless of the underlying issue, Reserve/Injured makes him ineligible to play, and no game-status designation applies to him at all.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. Players on Reserve/Injured do not practice with the team and are not carried on the participation report.
- Injury: Undisclosed. Chicago has not published a characterization of the injury that put him on Reserve/Injured, and no beat reporting has pinned it down.
- When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured during the 2026 roster-setting period in late August / early September 2026, before the regular season. He has not been active for a game this year.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Unknowable without a disclosed diagnosis. What is knowable is the procedural floor: a player placed on Reserve/Injured from the initial 53-man cutdown is out for the entire season unless the club uses one of its limited return-from-IR designations on him, and Chicago has spent its early practice windows on DT Shemar Turner (knee/ACL) and LB Noah Sewell (Achilles), not on Brown.
- Expected back to full health: No credible calendar estimate exists without a disclosed injury. Treat him as unavailable through at least Week 6 (mid-October 2026) and quite possibly the full season.
- Next game: Will not play in Week 3 vs the Philadelphia Eagles, Monday Sept 28, 2026. He is ineligible, not injured-questionable.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: unavailable throughout. Chicago has not opened a 21-day practice window for him, which is the prerequisite for any return, and the two windows the club has used this month went to defensive players.
- Who benefits if he sits: His roster spot is already absorbed — Roschon Johnson (RB3) holds the third active back job, with Salvon Ahmed and Zavier Scott (both DEV) on the practice squad as elevation candidates. N/A in any meaningful fantasy sense.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was status code RES on the Sept 18 baseline and remains status code RES today, with no practice window opened.
Fantasy takeaway: Irrelevant in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league — not rosterable, not a stash, not a handcuff. Drop him if he is somehow still on your bench.
Dylan Sampson — CLE (Was the passing-down / change-of-pace back behind Quinshon Judkins before the injury; currently holds no active depth-chart slot while on the reserve list)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status, status code RES on the nfl.com Browns roster as of Sept 25, 2026. This reserve-list status OUTRANKS the circumstances of the injury: it does not matter that the knee sprain happened in the Week 1 season opener — the IR placement governs, he must miss at least four games, and no weekly game-status designation applies to him.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate — ineligible to practice while on Reserve/Injured. He has no Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25 participation to report and appears on no Cleveland practice report.
- Injury: Sprained knee (the Browns did not publicly grade the sprain or name the specific ligament)
- When it happened: Suffered in the Week 1 season opener on Sept 13, 2026. Cleveland placed him on injured reserve on Sept 15, 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Knee sprain by grade — MCL Grade 1: 1-3 weeks; MCL Grade 2: 3-6 weeks; MCL Grade 3: 6-10 weeks. PCL sprains run 4-8 weeks. An IR placement rather than week-to-week management implies at minimum a Grade 2 equivalent with a multi-week horizon, which is consistent with the mandatory four-game absence.
- Expected back to full health: Earliest eligible return is Week 6 (week of Oct 12, 2026) after the four-game minimum. A realistic return to a full role, accounting for cutting confidence and conditioning, is Week 6 to Week 8 — mid-to-late October 2026.
- Next game: OUT — ineligible to play in Week 3 vs. the Carolina Panthers on Sunday Sept 27, 2026 at Huntington Bank Field. He is on injured reserve and cannot be activated until he has missed the required four games.
- Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 3, 4 and 5 with no activation path. Week 6 is his first eligible game and the realistic target. If he returns on schedule he would slot back into passing-down work, which would cap Quinshon Judkins’ receiving upside in the back half of this window.
- Who benefits if he sits: Raheim Sanders (RB2) and Jaleel McLaughlin (RB3) have split the work behind Quinshon Judkins in his absence, with McLaughlin handling most of the change-of-pace and passing-down snaps Sampson would otherwise take.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He remains on Reserve/Injured with status code RES, placed there on Sept 15 following the Week 1 knee sprain, with Week 6 as the earliest eligible return.
Fantasy takeaway: Stash-only in 12-team full PPR if you have a deep bench or an IR slot — his Week 6 return into a backfield where the starter is averaging 2.3 YPC gives him real standalone appeal, and a Judkins injury would make him immediately startable. In shallower 12-team leagues with no IR slot, drop him and re-add closer to Week 6. Do not start him at any point in Weeks 3-5.
Zach Charbonnet — SEA (Reserve — was in a committee role at RB before the season)
- Status: PUP — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as PUP (active/Physically Unable to Perform) on the official nfl.com Seahawks roster as of Sept 25, 2026.
- Expected back to full health: Beat reporting indicates a practice-return date is ‘coming soon,’ but no confirmed date yet; earliest eligibility remains Week 7
- Next game: OUT for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Washington — ineligible
- Next four weeks: Out Weeks 3-6; monitor for a practice-window opening announcement, which beat writers describe as approaching
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — Jadarian Price and George Holani handle the backfield in his absence
- Change since Week 2: No change in roster status since Sept 18 — remains on active/PUP, though beat reporting now suggests his return to practice may be approaching.
Fantasy takeaway: Stash-only in deeper leagues given reports his return to practice may be nearing; not yet a redraft add
Jeremy McNichols — WAS (Off the active depth chart — a reserve-list running back. The active room runs Jacory Croskey-Merritt > Rachaad White > Kaytron Allen.)
- Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) a reserve-list roster status, which outranks any weekly game-status tag and is why he does not appear on Washington’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 game vs Seattle. nfl.com shows him with the code RSR (reserve) on the Commanders’ official roster as of Fri Sept 25, 2026.
- Practice this week: No practice participation is filed for a player on the reserve list. He did not practice Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Quadriceps injury.
- When it happened: Suffered before the Sept 18, 2026 baseline was taken; he was already on the reserve list at that point and the status is unchanged.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A quadriceps strain runs 2-3 weeks for Grade 1, 4-6 weeks for Grade 2, and 8-12 weeks or surgical for a Grade 3 or a full tear. Placement on the reserve list rather than week-to-week management indicates at least a Grade 2.
- Expected back to full health: Mid-to-late October 2026 at the earliest on a Grade 2 quad timeline, and the reserve-list four-game minimum independently rules out any return before Week 5 (roughly Oct 11, 2026). No 21-day practice window has been reported.
- Next game: OUT for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Seattle Seahawks at home. He is on the reserve list and ineligible.
- Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 3 (vs Seattle) and 4 (London) with certainty under the four-game minimum. Weeks 5-6 depend on Washington opening a practice window, which has not happened.
- Who benefits if he sits: Already accounted for — Kaytron Allen holds the RB3 role, with Craig Reynolds and Robert Henry Jr. (both DEV) as practice-squad depth.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Still RSR on the official roster with a quadriceps injury.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in any 12-team full-PPR redraft format. Zero fantasy relevance — he is behind three healthy backs and cannot be activated in time to matter.
Doubtful (2)
Doubtful means the club expects him not to play. Treat it as out unless you see a pregame report saying otherwise.
Jaylen Wright — MIA (RB2 — the primary backup and change-of-pace back behind De’Von Achane, ahead of Ollie Gordon II)
- Status: DOUBTFUL — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Miami on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs the Kansas City Chiefs. Doubtful in NFL usage means roughly a 25 percent chance of playing; the overwhelming majority of doubtful players do not suit up.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. This is a DOWNWARD trajectory — limited early, then off the field entirely on the final day — which is why the tag is Doubtful rather than Questionable.
- Injury: Stinger plus a foot injury — two separate listings on Miami’s official report. The stinger is a brachial-plexus / cervical-nerve traction injury; the foot is unspecified as to side or structure. He was described as day-to-day early in the week.
- When it happened: Sunday Sept 20, 2026, Week 2 at the San Francisco 49ers, sustained in the second quarter. He did not finish the game.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Stingers (burners) are usually transient neurapraxia resolving within days to two weeks; the danger is recurrence, and repeat stingers in a short window warrant cervical imaging and can become multi-week absences. Foot injuries span an enormous range: a bone bruise or midfoot sprain costs 1-3 weeks, a Lisfranc injury costs 8-12 weeks or requires surgery, and a fifth-metatarsal (Jones) fracture costs 6-10 weeks. The combination of two injuries in one week and a Friday DNP is what pushes this to Doubtful. Miami has disclosed nothing that would let anyone narrow the foot component, which is itself a mild caution.
- Expected back to full health: If the foot is a simple sprain or bruise and the stinger resolves normally, a return around Week 4 to Week 5 — roughly Oct 4 to Oct 11, 2026. If the foot proves structural, this becomes a multi-week or season-altering absence extending past Week 8. The Week 4 Wednesday report is the checkpoint.
- Next game: EXPECTED OUT. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 vs the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium. Doubtful plus a Friday DNP is, in practice, a near-certain inactive. Treat him as out.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) vs Kansas City: effectively out. Week 4: plausible return if the foot is minor, but far from assured. Weeks 5-6: should be back and in his RB2 role assuming no structural foot finding. The escalation risk is a Reserve/Injured placement if the foot diagnosis worsens, which would cost him at least four games through Week 7.
- Who benefits if he sits: Ollie Gordon II (RB3) is the direct beneficiary and moves into the RB2 role behind De’Von Achane — he becomes the primary handcuff and would carry the load if Achane went down.
- Change since Week 2: NEW TO THE REPORT. Jaylen Wright was not on the Sept 18 baseline — he was healthy. He was hurt in the Week 2 game at San Francisco on Sept 20 with a stinger and a foot injury, practiced limited Wednesday and Thursday, then dropped to DNP Friday and drew a DOUBTFUL tag. A fresh downgrade, and the trajectory within the week was negative.
Fantasy takeaway: Bench him in 12-team full PPR — Doubtful plus a Friday DNP is a non-start. The real actionable move is Ollie Gordon II: he becomes the outright De’Von Achane handcuff this week, and in a game Miami projects to trail against Kansas City, he has standalone deep-league flex appeal on passing-down and garbage-time work. If you roster Achane, Gordon is a must-add. Achane himself is a locked-in RB1 with a marginally larger workload.
Kene Nwangwu — NYJ (RB4 on the Ourlads depth chart behind Breece Hall, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis; primarily a kick returner rather than an offensive contributor)
- Status: DOUBTFUL — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by the New York Jets on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the Detroit Lions. Doubtful in NFL usage means roughly a 25 percent chance of playing. Note this is an UPGRADE from his Week 2 status, when he was ruled OUT.
- Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> DNP Fri Sept 25. Three consecutive DNPs, and reporting describes him as having made “no progress” on the back.
- Injury: Back, as listed on the official league injury report. The Jets have not specified a structure, a side or a grade. It has now cost him practice time across two consecutive weeks with no reported improvement.
- When it happened: Mid-September 2026. He was already carrying the back injury on the Sept 18 baseline, where he was ruled OUT for the Week 2 game vs Green Bay after three DNPs. The onset predates that report.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Back injuries are the least predictable class in football because the listing covers everything from a muscular strain or spasm (1-2 weeks) to a facet joint issue (2-4 weeks) to a disc herniation with radicular symptoms (6-12 weeks or season-ending, sometimes surgical). Two full weeks of DNPs with explicit reporting of ‘no progress’ is a poor sign and moves the probability mass away from a simple strain. The mitigating factor is that the Jets have not placed him on Reserve/Injured, which they would likely do for a disc issue.
- Expected back to full health: Genuinely indeterminate given two weeks without progress. If it is a muscular or facet issue that finally responds, a return around Week 5 — roughly Oct 11, 2026. If the lack of progress continues into a third week, expect a Reserve/Injured placement, which would end his involvement through at least Week 8, late October 2026. The Week 4 practice report is the checkpoint.
- Next game: EXPECTED OUT. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Detroit Lions, Ford Field. Doubtful plus three DNPs plus reported lack of progress is, in practice, a near-certain inactive. Treat him as out.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Detroit: effectively out. Week 4: unlikely without a change in the practice pattern. Weeks 5-6: possible if the back finally responds, but the trajectory does not support optimism. Watch specifically for a Reserve/Injured transaction, which is the most likely resolution if a third week of DNPs follows. His return, when it comes, is to a kick-return role rather than an offensive one.
- Who benefits if he sits: Isaiah Davis (RB3) covers the RB depth.
- Change since Week 2: SLIGHTLY IMPROVED ON PAPER, UNCHANGED IN SUBSTANCE. On the Sept 18 baseline he was OUT — a final Friday designation for the Week 2 game vs Green Bay after DNP/DNP/DNP. He has been upgraded to DOUBTFUL for Week 3, but the underlying picture is identical: another three DNPs and explicit reporting of ‘no progress’ on the back. The designation improved by one notch; the health did not.
Fantasy takeaway: Irrelevant in 12-team full PPR. He is the RB4 and a return specialist, doubtful with a back that has shown no progress in two weeks. Do not roster. The only Jets backfield name worth owning behind Breece Hall is Braelon Allen, who is the RB2 and the true handcuff.
Questionable — game-time calls (2)
The genuine coin flips. Watch the inactives list, which posts about 90 minutes before kickoff, and have a replacement ready.
Jaylen Warren — PIT (RB1 — first-team running back on the Ourlads Steelers depth chart ahead of Rico Dowdle; with Dowdle ruled out he becomes the clear lead back if he plays)
- Status: QUESTIONABLE — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Pittsburgh on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 home game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh’s Friday participation is a walk-through estimation.
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 25, walk-through estimation). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Limited Fri Sept 25. He practiced in some capacity all three days and never missed a session.
- Injury: Shoulder injury (the Steelers have not specified an AC joint sprain versus a stinger or a contusion)
- When it happened: Suffered during the Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots on Sept 20, 2026. He finished the game and was productive despite it, posting 77 yards on 13 total touches, then appeared on Wednesday’s Week 3 report as a limited participant.
- Typical recovery for this injury: AC joint sprain Grade 1: 1-2 weeks, often no missed games with a pad and taping; Grade 2: 2-4 weeks; Grade 3: 6-12 weeks and sometimes surgery. A shoulder contusion or stinger: 3-10 days. Warren playing through it in Week 2 and practicing all three days this week points squarely at a Grade 1 AC sprain or a contusion — the mildest end of the range.
- Expected back to full health: Best estimate for full, pain-free health is Week 4 (Oct 4, 2026) to Week 5 (Oct 11, 2026). He is functionally available now with shoulder padding and taping; the designation reflects soreness management rather than a genuine availability question.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY for Week 3 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Sept 27, 2026, 1:00 PM ET at Acrisure Stadium. He practiced all three days, he played through the same injury in Week 2, and with Rico Dowdle ruled OUT Pittsburgh has strong roster incentive to have him available. The one caveat is that a shoulder injury on a back who will now carry a heavier workload carries genuine in-game aggravation risk.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 vs. Cincinnati: expected to play with an expanded role given Dowdle’s absence. Week 4: Dowdle’s toe injury is described as day-to-day, so the backfield likely returns to a committee split. Weeks 5-6: assume a shared backfield with Dowdle unless one of them misses more time. Warren’s Weeks 3-6 value is front-loaded into Week 3, which is his clearest bellcow opportunity of the stretch.
- Who benefits if he sits: Eli Heidenreich (RB3) would become the lead back by default, an alarming proposition for Pittsburgh given Rico Dowdle is already OUT. Practice-squad backs Travis Homer, Max Hurleman and Lew Nichols III would be elevation candidates. If both Warren and Dowdle were unavailable, Pittsburgh would likely need a practice-squad elevation to field a functional backfield.
- Change since Week 2: NEW to this report. Warren did not appear on the Sept 18 baseline injury list at all — he was a healthy active RB1. The shoulder injury occurred in the Week 2 loss at New England on Sept 20 and put him on the Week 3 report from Wednesday onward.
Fantasy takeaway: Strong RB2 with RB1 upside in 12-team full PPR for Week 3 — this is the single best start-him opportunity in the Pittsburgh backfield all season so far. Rico Dowdle is OUT, Warren practiced all three days, and he catches passes, which matters enormously in full PPR. Confirm he is active before kickoff, but plug him in with confidence. If you own Warren and have a bench spot, speculatively add Eli Heidenreich as insurance — the Steelers have no other healthy back of consequence.
Tyjae Spears — TEN (RB2 — change-of-pace/passing-down back behind Tony Pollard)
- Status: QUESTIONABLE — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Tennessee on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27, 2026 road game at the New York Giants.
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Did Not Participate Wed Sept 23 -> Did Not Participate Thu Sept 24 -> Limited Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Ankle
- When it happened: First appeared on Tennessee’s Week 3 injury report (Wednesday Sept 23, 2026)
- Typical recovery for this injury: An ankle injury that progresses from two DNP days to a single Friday limited session is a real game-time-decision profile; if he plays, a snap-count/role reduction is likely; if it lingers, a 1-2 week absence is plausible
- Expected back to full health: Likely resolves within 1-2 weeks even if he sits Week 3
- Next game: QUESTIONABLE for Sunday, Sept 27, 2026 at the New York Giants — true game-time decision
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: uncertain Week 3 outlook; if he sits, expect a near-full-season-long shelving; if he plays, expect a reduced early role that could build back up by Week 4-5
- Who benefits if he sits: Julius Chestnut and Nicholas Singleton would absorb his change-of-pace/passing-down touches if Spears sits
- Change since Week 2: NEW to the injury report since Sept 18 — Spears was fully healthy with no injury designation on the Sept 18 baseline.
Fantasy takeaway: Bench/flex-with-caution in 12-team full-PPR; check Sunday-morning inactives before locking your lineup, and have Julius Chestnut on your radar as a very deep-league speculative add if Spears is ruled out
Final tag still pending (2)
The Monday night teams file a day later than everyone else. Real situations, final tag still to come.
Saquon Barkley — PHI (RB1 — the bell-cow lead back, first on the Ourlads (09/24/2026) order with a ‘Q’ marker, ahead of Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley.)
- Status: QUESTIONABLE — (b) a practice-report-only status with no final tag. Philadelphia plays Monday night Sept 28 at Chicago, so its final game-status report is not due until Saturday Sept 27 and NO FINAL TAG EXISTS YET as of Friday Sept 25. He has been Limited in all three Week 3 practices with a stinger and is reported to expect to play.
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Limited Fri Sept 25. He practiced in some capacity on all three days, which is itself the good news with a stinger.
- Injury: Stinger — a brachial plexus / cervical nerve traction injury affecting the shoulder and arm. He underwent an MRI after the game.
- When it happened: Sunday Sept 20, 2026, in the Week 2 comeback win over the Tennessee Titans. He returned to that game in the third quarter on limited snaps, finishing with 4 carries and 1 reception.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A stinger is usually a same-game or few-day issue — most resolve in 24-72 hours with full strength returning quickly. But stingers linger: a case with persistent weakness or paresthesia can run 1-3 weeks, and recurrent stingers occasionally cost a month while grip and shoulder strength are re-tested. Practicing at all three days out is a strong indicator of the short end.
- Expected back to full health: Effectively now, Week 3 (Monday Sept 28, 2026), with residual soreness. Fully clean by roughly Week 4-5 (early-to-mid October 2026) barring a recurrence.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY in Week 3, Monday Sept 28, 2026 at the Chicago Bears. Reporting has him expecting to play, he took limited work on all three days, and the MRI did not produce a shutdown. A Questionable tag on Saturday’s final report is the likely outcome.
- Next four weeks: Expected to play and lead the backfield Weeks 3-6, beginning at Chicago. Watch for a modestly reduced snap share in Week 3 specifically — stingers often produce a committee week before the workload normalizes by Week 4.
- Who benefits if he sits: Tank Bigsby (RB2) is the primary beneficiary and would carry the early-down load, with Will Shipley (RB3) taking passing-down work. Both returned to full practice Friday, so both are available. Jaydon Blue, Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele are practice-squad depth.
- Change since Week 2: MAJOR change since Sept 18. The baseline had him RESOLVED and entirely off the report as a healthy RB1. He suffered a stinger in the Sept 20 Week 2 win over Tennessee, had an MRI, and has practiced Limited all three days of Week 3.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him as an RB1 in 12-team full-PPR, but this is the week to make sure Tank Bigsby is on your bench if you can get him. Limited-Limited-Limited plus a clean-enough MRI is a play signal, not a sit signal. The Monday night slot lets you see Saturday’s designation and all of Sunday before you commit — use that. If you are thin at RB, hold a flex contingency.
Kyle Monangai — CHI (RB2 — the complementary/change-of-pace back behind D’Andre Swift)
- Status: QUESTIONABLE — (b) practice-report only. Chicago’s Monday Sept 28 kickoff means the final game-status report is not due until Saturday Sept 26, so no final tag exists yet. Given that he returned to full participation on Friday, the expectation is he carries no designation or a token questionable on Saturday’s filing and plays.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. The Friday upgrade from a Thursday non-participation was reported by Bears beat writers as the best news on the Friday report.
- Injury: Knee — Chicago listed it only as ‘knee’ and did not specify a structure, a side, or a grade. Some aggregators are still carrying it as undisclosed.
- When it happened: Surfaced on the Week 3 practice report. He was a full participant on Wednesday Sept 23 and did not appear until he was held out Thursday Sept 24, which points to a practice-week maintenance flare-up rather than a discrete Week 2 game injury. He was a full participant on Chicago’s final Week 2 report on Sept 18 with a hamstring, and was not held out of the Week 2 game.
- Typical recovery for this injury: An unspecified knee complaint that clears from a single DNP to full participation inside 24 hours is, functionally, soreness or a bone bruise, not a ligament or meniscus event — those cost 3-6 weeks (MCL grade I-II), 4-8 weeks (meniscus trim/repair depending on procedure), or a season (ACL). Nothing about this week’s trajectory is consistent with a structural injury; the working assumption is a 0-1 week issue.
- Expected back to full health: Effectively healthy now, as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. He should carry no restriction into Week 3 on Sept 28.
- Next game: Expected to play in Week 3 vs the Philadelphia Eagles, Monday Sept 28, 2026. Confirm Saturday Sept 26 when Chicago files its final report, and again at the 90-minute inactive list Monday night.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Mon Sept 28 vs Philadelphia): plays, in a game script that should be run-leaning because Case Keenum is starting. Week 4 (Sun Oct 4 vs the New York Jets) through Week 6: no expected absence. His usage is the variable, not his health — he is a touch-share play tied to how much Chicago protects its backup quarterback.
- Who benefits if he sits: Roschon Johnson (RB3) would absorb the complementary carries and short-yardage work, with D’Andre Swift (RB1) seeing his snap share climb. Salvon Ahmed and Zavier Scott (both DEV) are the practice-squad elevation candidates.
- Change since Week 2: The injury changed. On the Sept 18 baseline Monangai was carrying a hamstring and finished the week as a full participant with no designation. This week’s issue is a knee, and it cost him a Thursday practice before he was cleared to full on Friday.
Fantasy takeaway: Playable as an RB3/flex in a 12-team full-PPR league and a strong stash if you roster D’Andre Swift. The Friday full practice removes the availability worry. The bull case is specific: with a 38-year-old QB3 starting on Monday night, Chicago is telegraphing a run-heavy, clock-control plan, which raises the floor for both Bears backs. Monangai is the cheaper of the two.
Cleared — listed this week but carrying no designation (47)
The good news. Every player here carried an injury or a listing at some point this week and finished it without a designation.
Chuba Hubbard — CAR (RB1 – unquestioned lead back and team captain, now with the backfield essentially to himself)
- Status: RESOLVED – (a) he does not appear anywhere on Carolina’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official injury report for the Sunday Sept 27 road game at Cleveland. This is the third consecutive week he has been completely off the report, following the hamstring issue that cleared before Week 1.
- Practice this week: Full and unlisted (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not listed Wed Sept 23 -> not listed Thu Sept 24 -> not listed Fri Sept 25. No limitation at any point in the Week 3 cycle.
- Injury: Hamstring strain (resolved prior to Week 1 and still resolved)
- When it happened: Originated during 2026 training camp / the preseason. He had already cleared it before Carolina’s Week 1 game and has not appeared on an injury report since.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Grade 1 hamstring strains cost 1-3 weeks, Grade 2 runs 3-6 weeks, Grade 3 is 8-plus weeks. Hubbard’s cleared inside the Grade 1 band well before the season. He is now well past the four-week elevated re-injury window that follows a hamstring return, which matters given he is about to absorb a heavier workload.
- Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy – confirmed clean for a third straight week as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. No residual restriction and no elevated re-injury risk remaining.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY, with a significantly increased workload, in the Week 3 game at Cleveland on Sunday Sept 27, 2026. He carries no designation and is Carolina’s clear RB1 now that Jonathon Brooks is on Reserve/Injured.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: Week 3 at Cleveland (Sept 27) – Cleveland’s front is stout, so this is a volume-over-efficiency week. Week 4 vs Detroit (Sun Oct 4, SNF) – a get-right spot if Carolina can stay competitive. Week 5 BYE. Week 6 at Philadelphia (Oct 18) – a difficult run matchup. The through-line is that Brooks’s IR placement removes the only real threat to his touch count for at least six weeks, and AJ Dillon is a complement rather than a committee partner.
- Who benefits if he sits: AJ Dillon (RB2) would take over as the lead back and is now a genuinely valuable handcuff. Anthony Tyus III and Ahmani Marshall (both DEV) are the practice-squad depth. Carolina worked out free agent Austin Ekeler on Sept 23, 2026 but was not expected to sign him immediately – if that changes, Ekeler would compete with Dillon for passing-down work.
- Change since Week 2: Health status unchanged since Sept 18 – still fully RESOLVED and off the report for a third straight week. His VALUE changed substantially, though: Jonathon Brooks went on Reserve/Injured on Sept 23, 2026, removing the RB2 who had been eating into his touches.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him with confidence as a solid RB2 in 12-team full-PPR, and his outlook is materially better today than it was Sunday. Brooks going on IR hands Hubbard a clean 18-20 touch workload in a Dave Canales offense that wants to run. He is not a league-winner, but he is now one of the safer RB2s on the board. If you own Hubbard, go get AJ Dillon as the handcuff.
D’Andre Swift — CHI (RB1 — the lead back and primary passing-down option)
- Status: RESOLVED — (b) practice-report only, and the resolution is established by absence: Swift carries no entry on any day of Chicago’s Week 3 participation report (Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24, Fri Sept 25). Chicago plays Monday Sept 28 so no final tag exists yet for the team, but a player who never appears on the practice report cannot receive a game-status designation.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. He is unlisted on every day, which is the report’s way of recording a full, unrestricted participant.
- Injury: None active. The ankle/knee combination Chicago listed jointly on its Sept 18 report has cleared completely.
- When it happened: The original issue traces to a practice injury at Halas Hall on Sept 3, 2026, when Swift left a session early alongside Rome Odunze. It lingered as a joint ankle/knee listing through the Week 2 practice week and is now gone.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — resolved. For reference, the low-grade ankle sprain class this fell into typically costs 0-2 weeks, and Swift never actually missed a game with it.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026.
- Next game: Will play, unrestricted, in Week 3 vs the Philadelphia Eagles, Monday Sept 28, 2026 at Soldier Field.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Mon Sept 28 vs Philadelphia) through Week 6: no injury concern. Weeks 4 (Sun Oct 4 vs the New York Jets), 5 and 6 should all be full workloads. The one caution is volume-driven wear: a run-heavy plan built around a backup quarterback means a heavier carry count than his usual split.
- Who benefits if he sits: Kyle Monangai (RB2) would lead, with Roschon Johnson (RB3) taking short-yardage and pass-protection snaps. Salvon Ahmed and Zavier Scott (both DEV) are the practice-squad elevation options.
- Change since Week 2: Improved. On the Sept 18 baseline Swift was listed with a joint ankle/knee designation and practiced Limited Wed -> Limited Thu -> Full Fri before drawing no game-status designation. This week he is off the report entirely — the injury is fully resolved.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him with confidence as an RB2 in 12-team full-PPR. The health question is closed. The Keenum start is a net positive for his volume even though it is a negative for Chicago’s overall efficiency — expect a high carry share and continued involvement as a checkdown target, which is exactly the profile PPR rewards when a backup quarterback is dinking underneath.
Quinshon Judkins — CLE (RB1 — first-team running back on the Ourlads depth chart ahead of Raheim Sanders and Jaleel McLaughlin; Cleveland’s every-down bellcow)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) FINAL Friday outcome. Cleveland carried Judkins on the midweek report as ‘Not Injury Related – Personal’ but filed NO game-status tag on the Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 home game vs. the Carolina Panthers. He practiced Friday and is confirmed active — he will be in uniform for Week 3.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not listed Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 (Not Injury Related – Personal) -> Full Fri Sept 25. He was back at practice Friday and cleared of the injury report entirely by the final filing.
- Injury: None — this is a NON-INJURY, personal-matter listing. Judkins has no medical condition of any kind. Cleveland disclosed no details about the personal situation and head coach Todd Monken declined to elaborate.
- When it happened: Not applicable — no injury occurred. He was added to the Thursday Sept 24, 2026 participation report under the ‘Not Injury Related – Personal’ category and was observed on the field during the open portion of that practice. He returned to full participation Friday Sept 25.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — there is no injury to recover from. Non-injury personal listings in the NFL almost always resolve within the same practice week and rarely cost a player a game.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, Week 3 (week of Sept 21-27, 2026). He was never unhealthy — this was strictly an off-field scheduling matter.
- Next game: ACTIVE AND STARTING for Week 3 vs. the Carolina Panthers on Sunday Sept 27, 2026, 1:00 PM ET at Huntington Bank Field. He is confirmed to be in uniform and active with no restriction.
- Next four weeks: Available and starting Weeks 3-6. The real concern with Judkins across this window is not health but efficiency — he is averaging just 2.3 yards per carry with 54 rushing yards through two games behind a line missing RG Teven Jenkins. The Carolina matchup in Week 3 is his best chance to break out, and Dylan Sampson’s eventual IR return could eat into his passing-down work later in the stretch.
- Who benefits if he sits: Raheim Sanders (RB2) would take the lead role, with Jaleel McLaughlin (RB3) handling passing downs and change-of-pace work. With Dylan Sampson on IR, Cleveland’s backfield depth behind Judkins is genuinely thin.
- Change since Week 2: NEW to this report. Judkins did not appear on the Sept 18 baseline injury list at all. He was added Thursday Sept 24 under a Not Injury Related – Personal designation, which briefly clouded his Week 3 availability, then practiced fully Friday and was cleared of the report with no game-status tag.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him in 12-team full PPR — the Friday clearance removes all doubt about availability. But temper expectations: 2.3 YPC through two games behind a patchwork line is a real problem, not variance, and he is an RB2 with RB3 production right now. If a panicking manager in your league will sell him at a discount because of the personal-matter scare and the slow start, he is a buy — the volume and the Carolina matchup support a bounce-back.
Javonte Williams — DAL (RB1 — the lead back and every-down starter, first on the Ourlads (09/21/2026) order.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he does not appear at all on the Cowboys’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official game-status report for the Sept 27 game vs Baltimore. Dallas filed four defenders (Durant, Hooker, Locke, Overshown) plus LB James Houston and no offensive skill players whatsoever.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report at any point this week, so no participation level is filed — Full Wed Sept 23, Full Thu Sept 24, Full Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: None. Healthy.
- When it happened: N/A — no injury to date in 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy and carries no injury that requires a recovery window.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: ACTIVE and a full-go starter for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. No availability concern of any kind.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and expected to carry a full lead-back workload through Weeks 3-6, starting with Baltimore. The only watch item is volume management on the long international trip to Rio, which occasionally trims a lead back’s snap share.
- Who benefits if he sits: Emari Demercado (RB2, the outright handcuff) would take over, with Tyler Goodson (RB3) absorbing the change-of-pace snaps.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Still healthy, still absent from the injury report, still the unambiguous RB1.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him with confidence as an RB1/RB2 in 12-team full-PPR. Clean bill of health, unchallenged workload, and no injury-report entry heading into Week 3. Hold Demercado if you have a bench spot.
J.K. Dobbins — DEN (RB1 — the lead back and early-down workhorse, first on Ourlads.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (b) he appears on Denver’s Week 3 practice report with a hip listing but the club explicitly assigned him NO final game status on the Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs. the Los Angeles Rams.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Hip injury. The club has not characterized it further — no pointer/contusion vs. flexor distinction has been made public.
- When it happened: Sustained in the fourth quarter of the Week 2 win over Jacksonville on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. He exited that game with it and first appeared on the Wednesday Sept 23 report as a limited participant.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A hip pointer (iliac crest contusion) is typically 1-3 weeks and is frequently played through with a pad. A hip flexor strain is Grade 1 roughly 1-3 weeks, Grade 2 roughly 3-6 weeks. A labral or deeper joint issue is 6+ weeks and often surgical. Progressing limited-to-full inside three days and drawing no game status places this firmly in the contusion / Grade 1 bucket.
- Expected back to full health: Already functionally healthy as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. Expect no lingering restriction past the end of September 2026.
- Next game: PLAY, unrestricted. No designation filed for the Sunday Sept 27 Sunday Night Football game vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Expect his normal lead-back workload.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 vs. Rams: full RB1 role. Weeks 4-6 (Seattle and beyond): expected full. His usage profile is the thing to watch, not the hip — Denver has a genuine committee, and Harvey’s health caps Dobbins’ ceiling more than the injury does. Dobbins also carries a well-documented multi-year injury history, so an in-season absence at some point remains a live risk independent of this hip.
- Who benefits if he sits: RJ Harvey (RB2) would immediately become the lead back and is fully healthy. Tyler Badie (RB4, ACT) would fill the RB2 chair given Jonah Coleman is ruled out. Cody Schrader (DEV) is the practice-squad elevation candidate.
- Change since Week 2: CHANGED. Baseline Sept 18: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION and not on Denver’s Week 2 injury report at all. Now he IS on the report with a new hip injury sustained in the fourth quarter of Week 2, though he practiced to full by Thursday and again drew no game status.
Fantasy takeaway: START HIM with normal confidence in a 12-team full-PPR redraft. Full practice, no designation, and a prime-time home game vs. the Rams. The hip is noise, not signal. Do sell high if you can get RB2 value — the committee and his injury history both argue against paying for him long-term — but he is a clear Week 3 starter.
Jahmyr Gibbs — DET (RB1 — the lead back and the focal point of the passing-down backfield)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) FINAL Friday position confirmed by the absence of any entry for Gibbs on Detroit’s FINAL Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs the New York Jets. Detroit’s final filing listed only G Ben Bartch and S Thomas Harper, both Out.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. Unlisted on every day of the Week 3 report.
- Injury: None active.
- When it happened: N/A — no current injury. Gibbs has not appeared on a Detroit injury report this season.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — nothing to recover from.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026.
- Next game: Will play, unrestricted, in Week 3 vs the New York Jets, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 at Ford Field.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: no injury concern. The only real variable is workload management — with Isiah Pacheco on Reserve/Injured, Detroit’s RB2 is Sione Vaki, which means Gibbs’ touch share stays elevated rather than being split with a veteran complement. Week 4 is at Carolina on Sunday night Oct 4.
- Who benefits if he sits: Sione Vaki (RB2) would take the early-down work with Jacob Saylors (RB3) rotating in; Jabari Small (DEV) is the practice-squad elevation. None of them approximates Gibbs’ receiving role, so Detroit would more likely lean on 11-personnel passing than on a true replacement back.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He carried no designation on the baseline and carries none now.
Fantasy takeaway: Elite, start-every-week RB1 in 12-team full-PPR, with no availability caveat. Pacheco’s absence has pushed his touch ceiling higher than draft-day projections assumed. If you own him, you should also be holding Sione Vaki as the handcuff in any league with deep benches.
Ashton Jeanty — LV (RB1 — the workhorse, first on Ourlads well ahead of Mike Washington Jr. and Dylan Laube. He is the centerpiece of the Raiders’ run game.)
- Status: RESOLVED — (b) fully cleared. He does not appear anywhere on the Raiders’ Week 3 injury report for Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, and received no final game-status designation on the Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the New Orleans Saints.
- Practice this week: Full — unlisted all three days, which on an NFL report means unrestricted participation. Full week: not on the report Wed Sept 23, not on the report Thu Sept 24, not on the report Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: None currently. The right ankle sprain that had been carried as a maintenance notation on the Week 2 report has cleared completely and he is now entirely off the document.
- When it happened: The ankle sprain dates to the preseason/training-camp window in August 2026. It was already a maintenance-only notation by the Week 2 report and is now fully gone.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A low ankle sprain is 1-3 weeks; he is far beyond that and has played through it. Being unlisted for a full week is the cleanest possible signal that the issue is closed.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Friday Sept 25, 2026.
- Next game: PLAY, unrestricted, as the lead back. He is active with no limitation for the Sunday Sept 27, 4:25 p.m. ET game at the New Orleans Saints.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: healthy and active as the featured back throughout, barring a new injury. He is a volume-driven RB1 whose fantasy outcomes hinge on game script and red-zone usage, not on health. A favorable Week 3 matchup at New Orleans helps.
- Who benefits if he sits: Mike Washington Jr. (RB2) would take the lead-back role, with Dylan Laube (RB3) handling passing downs. Dare Ogunbowale and Roman Hemby (both DEV) are the practice-squad elevation candidates.
- Change since Week 2: IMPROVED. Baseline Sept 18: carried on the Raiders’ Week 2 practice report with an ankle notation and no final game-status tag. Now he is off the report entirely on all three days — fully cleared.
Fantasy takeaway: START HIM as an RB1 in a 12-team full-PPR redraft with full confidence. The ankle question is closed — he is off the report entirely for the first time this season. This is the point at which any lingering discount from draft-season ankle worry should be gone; if a manager in your league still carries that discount, buy.
De’Von Achane — MIA (RB1 — the Dolphins’ clear lead back and the focal point of the offense, ahead of Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon II)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on Miami’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs the Kansas City Chiefs. He is entirely off the report.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25) and unlisted. Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25, unlisted on all three days.
- Injury: None. He carries no active injury and has not been listed on any Miami injury report in Week 2 or Week 3.
- When it happened: Not applicable — no injury.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no injury to recover from.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026. No restrictions.
- Next game: PLAYING, unrestricted. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 vs the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium. No designation of any kind.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) vs Kansas City: fully healthy with an ENLARGED workload, since RB2 Jaylen Wright is doubtful. Weeks 4-6: assuming Wright returns around Week 4 or 5, Achane’s snap share normalizes slightly but he remains the unambiguous lead back. The one structural concern across this window is that Miami at 0-2 may play from behind frequently, which for Achane is closer to a positive than a negative given his receiving role.
- Who benefits if he sits: Ollie Gordon II (RB3, elevated to effective RB2 duty with Jaylen Wright doubtful) would lead the backfield. DJ Herman (FB) takes short-yardage and goal-line work. Jarquez Hunter and Carlos Washington are practice-squad elevation options. Gordon is the handcuff worth owning.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was RESOLVED on the baseline and remains RESOLVED — three full practices, no listing, no designation. The contextual change is that Jaylen Wright’s DOUBTFUL tag clears out the backfield ahead of him for Week 3.
Fantasy takeaway: Elite, locked-in RB1 in 12-team full PPR — start him every week without a second thought. This week specifically, his floor and ceiling both tick upward because Jaylen Wright is doubtful, leaving Ollie Gordon II as the only other real backfield body. In a negative game script against Kansas City, Achane’s receiving usage is the safety net that makes him matchup-proof. If you own him, add Ollie Gordon II as the handcuff.
Aaron Jones — MIN (RB1 — the lead back and Minnesota’s primary early-down and passing-down option with Jordan Mason on IR)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) FINAL Friday game-status position on Minnesota’s Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at Tampa Bay. After progressing through the week Jones was cleared without a designation and is expected to play. This is a change from earlier in the week, when a Wednesday non-participation raised real doubt.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. The Wednesday absence was reported first; he was later seen back for at least the open portion of Wednesday’s session, then upgraded to limited Thursday and cleared Friday.
- Injury: Knee — Minnesota listed it simply as ‘knee’ without specifying a structure, a side, or a grade. Beat reporting frames it as workload-related soreness rather than a structural finding.
- When it happened: Sunday Sept 20, 2026, in Minnesota’s 9-3 Week 2 win at Chicago. Jones carried 23 times in that game, briefly exited it, and returned; the knee surfaced on the injury report the following Wednesday, Sept 23. The heavy carry count is the accepted explanation.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A knee complaint that moves DNP -> Limited -> Full inside one practice week is, functionally, soreness, contusion or a bone bruise, not a ligament or meniscus event. For calibration: MCL grade I-II costs 1-6 weeks, a meniscus trim 3-4 weeks and a repair 8-12, an ACL a season. None of that profile fits a player cleared to full participation 48 hours after a DNP. Expect a 0-1 week issue with some maintenance days ahead.
- Expected back to full health: Effectively healthy now, as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. Expect Minnesota to manage his midweek practice reps going forward rather than his game snaps.
- Next game: Will play in Week 3 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday Sept 27, 2026, 3:05 p.m. CT at Raymond James Stadium. He drew no designation on the final report. Confirm at the 90-minute inactive list as routine diligence.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sun Sept 27 at Tampa Bay): plays. Week 4 (Sun Oct 4 vs Miami): expect to play. Weeks 5-6: should be available; Jordan Mason is not eligible to return until Week 6 at the earliest, so Jones carries the backfield through this entire stretch. The realistic risk is not this knee but the cumulative load of being a 30-plus-year-old back taking 20-plus carries with no established complement.
- Who benefits if he sits: DeeJay Dallas (RB2) would lead — though he has been managing a toe issue himself and was limited Wed and Thu before clearing. Demond Claiborne (RB3), a sixth-round rookie, would take the remaining work, with Max Bredeson (FB) in short-yardage. Minnesota signed Jaret Patterson to the practice squad on roughly Sept 22 specifically as insurance for this scenario; Jerome Ford is the other DEV back.
- Change since Week 2: New to this report. On the Sept 18 baseline Jones carried no entry at all and was described as fully healthy. The knee emerged from his 23-carry Week 2 workload at Chicago and cost him a Wednesday practice before he cleared.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him as a high-end RB2 with RB1 upside in 12-team full-PPR — the Friday clearance removes the availability worry, and his dual-threat role in a 2-0 offense with Kyler Murray back is exactly what PPR scoring rewards. Against an 0-2 Tampa Bay team missing two front-seven starters, this is a good spot. Hold DeeJay Dallas as the handcuff if you have the bench room; the Wednesday scare is a reminder that Minnesota has no safety net behind Jones with Jordan Mason on IR.
Reggie Gilliam — NE (FB1 — the lead blocker and short-yardage fullback; not a fantasy-relevant touch-getter)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on New England’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at Jacksonville as a practice-participation entry with a knee listing, but New England assigned him NO Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag. He is available to play.
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Limited Fri Sept 25. Three consecutive limited practices with no final designation — managed maintenance rather than an availability question.
- Injury: Knee. New England has not specified side or grade. The three-straight-limited-with-no-designation pattern is characteristic of a veteran being given reduced reps on a minor issue.
- When it happened: Mid-September 2026. It appears as a Week 3 practice-report listing beginning Wednesday Sept 23 and is not traceable to a specific Week 2 play against Pittsburgh.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A knee listing managed with limited practices and no game-status designation is almost always a minor sprain, bone bruise or general soreness, costing 0-2 weeks of restricted practice without missing games. The structural knee injuries that matter — ACL, MCL Grade II-III, meniscus — would produce DNPs and a designation, neither of which is present. Mild MCL sprains (Grade I) run 1-2 weeks and fit this profile.
- Expected back to full health: Available now. Expect the knee listing and limited practices to persist a week or two as maintenance, with full unrestricted practice by roughly Oct 4-11, 2026 — Week 4 to Week 5.
- Next game: PLAYING. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Jacksonville Jaguars, EverBank Stadium. No game-status designation on the final report.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Jacksonville and Weeks 4-6: available in his fullback role throughout. No meaningful absence risk given the no-designation, limited-practice pattern. The only scenario worth watching is a conversion to DNP, which would signal the knee has worsened.
- Who benefits if he sits: New England carries no second fullback on the active roster. Tight ends Cameron Latu and Tanner Arkin would absorb the lead-blocking and short-yardage roles in heavy personnel, and Corey Kiner (RB3) could take short-yardage carries.
- Change since Week 2: NEW TO THE REPORT. Reggie Gilliam was not on the Sept 18 baseline — he carried no listing. He appeared on New England’s Week 3 report Wednesday Sept 23 with a knee, was limited all three days, and drew NO final designation. A minor addition with no availability implication.
Fantasy takeaway: Irrelevant in 12-team full PPR — a fullback with no designation and a minor knee. Do not roster. The only reason he appears in this report is completeness: he is a listed player on the official Week 3 report and a short-yardage/goal-line body whose absence would marginally affect how New England handles the goal line, which touches Rhamondre Stevenson’s value.
TreVeyon Henderson — NE (RB1 — Ourlads now has him FIRST on the New England running back depth chart, AHEAD of Rhamondre Stevenson. This is a change from the Sept 18 baseline ordering.)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on New England’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is entirely off the report for the second consecutive week.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25) and unlisted. Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25, unlisted on all three days.
- Injury: None currently. The resolved issue was an ankle sprain (New England never specified high vs low) that cost him the Week 1 season opener against Seattle, for which he was ruled out. He returned and has been a full participant with no listing since Week 2.
- When it happened: Early September 2026, before the Sept 9 season opener vs the Seattle Seahawks, which he missed. He has been off the injury report entirely since the Week 2 report for the Sept 20 game vs Pittsburgh.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Ankle sprains: low/lateral Grade I 1-2 weeks, Grade II 2-4 weeks; high/syndesmotic 4-8 weeks. Henderson’s one-game absence followed by two consecutive weeks of unlisted full participation places this at a Grade I low ankle sprain that fully resolved. There is no residual limitation indicated anywhere in the practice record.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026. He has been unrestricted for two consecutive weeks with no maintenance days and no listing.
- Next game: PLAYING, unrestricted. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Jacksonville Jaguars, EverBank Stadium. No designation of any kind, and he is now the RB1 on the depth chart.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Jacksonville and Weeks 4-6: fully healthy with no restrictions, and — critically — with a depth-chart role that has IMPROVED. Ourlads’ Sept 24 update places him ahead of Rhamondre Stevenson, reversing the Week 2 ordering. Expect his snap share and touch count to climb across this window as New England leans into the second-year back. The main risk is not health but a reversion to a true committee if Stevenson produces.
- Who benefits if he sits: Rhamondre Stevenson (now RB2 on Ourlads) would return to the lead role. Corey Kiner (RB3) would fill the rotation. Reggie Gilliam (FB, carrying a knee listing but no designation) handles short-yardage and lead-blocking. Lan Larison is no longer on the roster; Myles Montgomery is on Reserve/Injured.
- Change since Week 2: IMPROVED, and a ROSTER/DEPTH-CHART CORRECTION. On the Sept 18 baseline he was listed with NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION but was still carried as an injury-report tracked player, and the depth chart had Rhamondre Stevenson AHEAD of him. Two things changed: (1) he remains fully off the report and is now cleanly RESOLVED, and (2) the Ourlads depth chart updated Sept 24, 2026 now lists Henderson FIRST, ahead of Stevenson — a reversal of the baseline ordering.
Fantasy takeaway: BUY. This is one of the more actionable items in the division. He is fully healthy, entirely off the injury report, and has moved AHEAD of Rhamondre Stevenson on the depth chart as of the Sept 24 update. In 12-team full PPR he is a flex-to-RB2 play this week with clear RB2 upside going forward, and his trade cost may still reflect the Week 1 ankle absence. Start him at Jacksonville. Correspondingly, downgrade Rhamondre Stevenson.
Travis Etienne Jr. — NO (RB1 – lead back ahead of Alvin Kamara, though New Orleans is running a committee)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION – (a) he appears on New Orleans’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 home game vs the Las Vegas Raiders listed with ‘Hamstring’ but carries a BLANK Game Status column after upgrading to a full practice on Friday.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Hamstring strain – described in local reporting as a nagging issue rather than an acute pull
- When it happened: Stemmed from the Week 2 win over Baltimore on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. He first appeared on the injury report on Wednesday Sept 23, 2026 as a limited participant.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Grade 1 hamstring strains cost an NFL running back 1-3 weeks, Grade 2 runs 3-6 weeks, Grade 3 is 8-plus weeks. A Limited-Limited-Full progression inside a single week with no game-status tag is the signature of a Grade 1 or a simple tightness episode. The caveat that matters for a running back: hamstrings re-injure at an elevated rate for about four weeks after return, and a back who plants and cuts is more exposed than a receiver running straight-line routes.
- Expected back to full health: Functionally healthy now – he practiced fully on Friday Sept 25, 2026. Genuinely past the elevated re-injury window by roughly Week 6-7, mid-to-late October 2026.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY in the Week 3 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Sept 27, 2026. No designation plus a Friday full practice means available – but treat his workload as capped, because a hamstring-managed back in a committee is the classic profile for a reduced snap count.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: Week 3 vs Las Vegas (Sept 27), Week 4 vs Atlanta (Mon Oct 5, MNF), Week 5 vs Minnesota, Week 6 at the New York Giants (Oct 18). Three home games in four. The larger concern is not the hamstring but the offense – he leads the team with just 71 rushing yards on 17 carries through two games, and New Orleans’ ground game has been anemic. Head coach Kellen Moore has openly described the backfield as ‘a committee opportunity’ with ‘a number of guys that can play back there’, which is not what you want to hear about your RB1.
- Who benefits if he sits: Alvin Kamara (RB2) is the primary beneficiary and would take over as the lead back – he is fully healthy and off the injury report. CJ Donaldson (RB3) would absorb the early-down and short-yardage work. Kendre Miller (RB4) is back from an illness and available. Zamir White (DEV) is the practice-squad option now that Audric Estime has been waived off IR with an injury settlement.
- Change since Week 2: NEW TO THIS REPORT. He does not appear on the Sept 18 baseline injury list at all. He picked up the hamstring in the Week 2 win over Baltimore, was Limited Wednesday and Thursday, upgraded to Full on Friday, and drew no game-status designation.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him as a flex/RB3 in 12-team full-PPR but lower your expectations. He is available and the hamstring cleared, yet the combination of a genuine committee, a bad New Orleans run game, and a coach publicly hedging on the backfield caps him. His full-PPR floor is propped up by receiving work (9 catches through two games), which is the only reason to start him. If you have a better flex, use it.
Cam Skattebo — NYG (RB1 — the lead back, first on the Ourlads (09/23/2026) order ahead of Devin Singletary, Najee Harris and Tyrone Tracy Jr.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he carries no designation of any kind on the Giants’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 game vs Tennessee. He does not appear on the report at all.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — full participation all three days.
- Injury: None currently. Historical context only: the dislocated right ankle with associated ligament damage from the prior season is fully behind him and has not appeared on a 2026 report.
- When it happened: N/A for 2026 — no injury this season. The ankle dislocation is a prior-season event and is not an active issue.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy and carries no injury that requires a recovery window.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: ACTIVE and a full-go starter for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium. No designation, no practice restriction.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and expected to lead the backfield through Weeks 3-6, beginning with Tennessee. The Sunday rain-and-wind forecast and the shift to Jameis Winston at quarterback both point toward a run-leaning game plan, which helps his carry volume even as it trims the offense’s overall scoring ceiling.
- Who benefits if he sits: Devin Singletary is RB2 and would take the lead role, with Najee Harris (RB3) handling early-down and short-yardage work and Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB4) rotating.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was RESOLVED then and remains off the report entirely, still the RB1.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him as an RB2 with upside in 12-team full-PPR. He is fully healthy, and a bad-weather game script vs Tennessee should funnel carries his way. The Dart injury dents the offense’s efficiency, but a run-first plan partially offsets it for the lead back specifically — he is the Giants skill player least damaged by the quarterback change.
Breece Hall — NYJ (RB1 — the Jets’ lead back and offensive focal point, ahead of Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis and Kene Nwangwu)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on the Jets’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the Detroit Lions.
The prior groin listing was a maintenance entry only and was fully resolved before the Week 2 game. He has not appeared on a Jets injury report in Week 2 or Week 3.
- When it happened: Not applicable for Week 3 — no current injury. The prior groin maintenance listing dates to early September 2026 and resolved before the Sept 20 game vs Green Bay.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — there is no current injury. He has logged full participation in every practice the Jets have held across Weeks 2 and 3.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026. No restrictions, no maintenance days, no listing.
- Next game: PLAYING, unrestricted. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Detroit Lions, Ford Field. No designation of any kind.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Detroit and Weeks 4-6: fully healthy in the lead-back role. His usage profile should IMPROVE over this window rather than hold steady — with Mason Taylor out, Arian Smith lost for the season, Omar Cooper Jr. and Tim Patrick on IR, and Adonai Mitchell playing with a wrapped hand, Hall is one of the only reliable pass catchers left in the offense. Expect his receiving volume to climb, which is the best possible development for his PPR floor.
- Who benefits if he sits: Braelon Allen (RB2) is the direct handcuff and would lead the backfield. Isaiah Davis (RB3) would fill the rotation. Andrew Beck (FB) handles short-yardage blocking. Al-Jay Henderson (DEV) is a practice-squad elevation option.
- Change since Week 2: No change to his health since Sept 18 — he was RESOLVED on the baseline and remains RESOLVED, with three full practices and no listing. His OPPORTUNITY has improved materially: Mason Taylor is OUT, Arian Smith is on season-ending IR, Omar Cooper Jr. was moved to IR on Sept 19, and Adonai Mitchell is questionable with a hand wrap, all of which point more targets his way.
Fantasy takeaway: Locked-in RB1 in 12-team full PPR — start him without hesitation, and consider him a modest BUY. The Jets’ pass-catching corps has been gutted (Arian Smith out for the season, Omar Cooper Jr. and Tim Patrick on IR, Mason Taylor out, Adonai Mitchell playing with a wrapped hand), which funnels check-down and screen volume directly into Hall’s receiving line. A road game at Detroit also projects a negative game script, which in full PPR is a feature not a bug for a receiving back. Braelon Allen is the handcuff to own.
Jadarian Price — SEA (RB1 — lead back)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on Seattle’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 25, 2026 for the Sept 27 home game vs. Washington with a chest entry, but carries no Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag; officially ‘good to go.’
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday’s overall week trend; specifically Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> upgraded by Friday Sept 25, cleared with no designation).
- Injury: Chest injury
- When it happened: Ahead of the Week 3 practice week (first appeared Sept 23, 2026); not on the Sept 18 baseline report
- Typical recovery for this injury: Chest/rib-area injuries that allow two straight weeks of at least limited practice without a game-status tag are typically minor and manageable with padding
- Expected back to full health: Effectively at full health entering Week 3, cleared to play with no restriction
- Next game: Good to go for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Washington
- Next four weeks: Fully available Weeks 3-6 as Seattle’s clear lead back
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — cleared to play; George Holani would be next in line at RB if a setback occurred
- Change since Week 2: New to the report. He was not listed at all on Seattle’s Sept 18 baseline injury report.
Fantasy takeaway: Confident RB2/flex fantasy start with no game-status restriction despite the practice-report entry
Christian McCaffrey — SF (RB1 — lead back)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on San Francisco’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 25, 2026 for the Sept 27 home game vs. Arizona with a scheduled rest-day entry, but carries no Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 (scheduled rest) -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: None — a recurring scheduled veteran rest day, not an injury
- When it happened: N/A
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — workload management, not an injury
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy
- Next game: No restrictions for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Arizona
- Next four weeks: Fully available Weeks 3-6 as San Francisco’s workhorse back
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — fully healthy
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — same recurring Wednesday rest-day pattern, no Friday designation either week.
Fantasy takeaway: Locked-in weekly RB1 start; the recurring Wednesday rest-day entry is a non-issue that repeats most weeks
Tony Pollard — TEN (RB1 — lead back and primary passing-down back)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) final Friday outcome: he carries an ankle injury on Tennessee’s official Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sept 27, 2026 road game at the New York Giants, but the club filed no Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag, meaning he is expected to play.
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Did Not Participate Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Limited Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Ankle
- When it happened: Managed injury that surfaced during Week 3 practice week (first appeared on the Wednesday Sept 23 report)
- Typical recovery for this injury: A limited-practice ankle issue that progresses from DNP to two straight Limited sessions and no game tag typically indicates a minor sprain with no missed-game risk, though a snap-count trim is possible
- Expected back to full health: Expected to be full-go within 1-2 weeks; no long-term concern reported
- Next game: Expected to play Sunday, Sept 27, 2026 at the New York Giants, no injury designation
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: expected to remain the clear early-down/passing-down back; worth monitoring the Wednesday injury report each week for any progression to a game-status tag
- Who benefits if he sits: Tyjae Spears would step into the every-down role if Pollard were ever held out, with Julius Chestnut as the next man up
- Change since Week 2: NEW to the injury report since Sept 18 — Pollard was fully healthy with no injury designation on the Sept 18 baseline; this ankle issue first appeared during Week 3 practice.
Fantasy takeaway: Fully startable RB2/flex in 12-team full-PPR for Week 3 at the Giants; no need to have a contingency plan given the lack of a game-status tag
Jacory Croskey-Merritt — WAS (RB1 — the lead back, first on the Ourlads (09/21/2026) order ahead of Rachaad White and Kaytron Allen.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he carries no designation on Washington’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 game vs Seattle. He does not appear on the report at all, for a second consecutive week.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — full participation all three days.
- Injury: None. The groin strain that listed him earlier in September is fully resolved and has not recurred.
- When it happened: N/A for Week 3. The groin strain was an early-September 2026 item and closed before the Sept 18 baseline.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy. The underlying groin strain resolved with a return to full practice and has not reappeared on any report since.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: ACTIVE and a full-go starter for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Seattle Seahawks at home. No designation, no practice restriction.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and expected to lead the backfield through Weeks 3-6, beginning with Seattle. The quarterback change is a mixed bag for him: Washington’s overall scoring ceiling falls with Marcus Mariota under center, but Jayden Daniels’ absence removes the league’s most efficient quarterback-rushing vulture near the goal line, which is a genuine arrow up for Croskey-Merritt’s touchdown equity.
- Who benefits if he sits: Rachaad White (RB2) would take over the lead role, with Kaytron Allen (RB3) rotating; Craig Reynolds and Robert Henry Jr. (both DEV) are practice-squad depth.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 in health — still RESOLVED and off the report. What changed is context: with Jayden Daniels OUT, the goal-line rushing work that Daniels absorbed is now available to him.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him as an RB2 in 12-team full-PPR. He is fully healthy, and the Daniels injury paradoxically helps his goal-line usage even as it lowers the team total — Daniels was taking those carries himself. The matchup vs the 2-0 Seahawks is tough, so temper expectations for Week 3 specifically, but hold the role with confidence.
Jeremiyah Love — ARI (RB2 — change-of-pace/passing-down back behind Tyler Allgeier)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries no entry at all on Arizona’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 25, 2026 for the Sept 27 game vs. San Francisco.
- Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point Week 3 (Wed Sept 23 – Fri Sept 25).
- Injury: High ankle sprain, right ankle (fully healed)
- When it happened: Training camp/preseason 2026
- Typical recovery for this injury: High ankle sprains typically cost 2-6 weeks depending on severity; his had already resolved by the Sept 18 report
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Sept 18, 2026 and remains so
- Next game: No restrictions for Sunday Sept 27 vs. San Francisco
- Next four weeks: Fully available Weeks 3-6, working as Arizona’s clear RB2 behind Allgeier with pass-catching upside
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — fully healthy
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — remains fully resolved and off the injury report.
Fantasy takeaway: No injury concern; a viable flex/handcuff play behind Allgeier in PPR formats given his passing-down role
Brian Robinson — ATL (RB2 – short-yardage and early-down complement to Bijan Robinson, plus kickoff-return snaps)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION – (a) FINAL official designation filed by Atlanta on its Week 3 report for the Thursday Sept 24, 2026 road game at Green Bay (final report filed Wednesday Sept 23 on the short week). He appears on that report listed with ‘Ankle’ but carries a BLANK Game Status column.
- Practice this week: Full (final report, Wednesday Sept 23). Full week (short week): Limited Mon Sept 21 -> Full Wed Sept 23. Both sessions were walkthroughs with estimated participation per the club’s note.
- Injury: Ankle sprain
- When it happened: Sustained in the Week 2 home game against Carolina on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. He first appeared on the injury report on Monday Sept 21 as a limited participant.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A low ankle sprain (lateral/inversion) typically costs an NFL running back 1-3 weeks for a Grade 1 and 3-6 weeks for a Grade 2. A HIGH ankle sprain is a different animal at 4-8 weeks. Robinson going from Limited Monday to Full Wednesday and playing four days after the injury points squarely at a mild Grade 1 low sprain.
- Expected back to full health: Already functionally healthy – he played Week 3 on Sept 24, 2026. Expect any residual soreness gone by Week 4-5, early October 2026.
- Next game: Week 3 is complete. He PLAYED at Green Bay on Thursday Sept 24, 2026, taking 2 carries for 15 yards and returning one kickoff for 24 yards in a game Bijan Robinson took over (29 carries, 194 yards, 2 TD). For Week 4 at New Orleans on Monday Oct 5, 2026 he should be fully available with no designation.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: Week 3 at Green Bay (done, 2 carries). Week 4 at New Orleans (Mon Oct 5), Week 5 vs Baltimore, Week 6 vs Chicago. The Week 3 usage is the story – Atlanta rode Bijan for 29 carries and Brian Robinson got two. Unless the ankle was quietly limiting him, this looks like a genuine workload collapse, and his weekly floor is now 3-8 touches with goal-line work the only real upside.
- Who benefits if he sits: Bijan Robinson (RB1) absorbs essentially everything, as he already did in Week 3. Behind him Atlanta would have to elevate Cash Jones (DEV) or Khalil Herbert (DEV) from the practice squad – Tyler Goodson is gone to Dallas and Trey Sermon is on Reserve/Injured for the season.
- Change since Week 2: NEW TO THIS REPORT. He did not appear on the Sept 18 baseline injury list at all. He hurt the ankle in the Week 2 game vs Carolina, appeared Limited on the Monday Sept 21 report, upgraded to Full by the Wednesday final report, carried no designation, and played Thursday.
Fantasy takeaway: Bench him in 12-team full-PPR. The ankle is a non-issue but the two-carry Week 3 is alarming – he is a touchdown-dependent RB4/flex dart at best now, and in full PPR he barely catches passes. Hold only as the Bijan Robinson handcuff, which is genuinely valuable given Bijan’s league-leading workload. If you need the roster spot, he is droppable in shallow leagues.
Ty Johnson — BUF (RB2 on Ourlads, functionally the passing-down / third-down back behind James Cook; Ray Davis is the early-down backup)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he is entirely OFF Buffalo’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs the Los Angeles Chargers. Joe Brady said he is “good to go.” He will make his 2026 season debut after missing Weeks 1 and 2.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. Three consecutive full participations and removal from the final report.
- Injury: Hamstring strain. Buffalo never specified left or right or published a grade. It is the same hamstring that cost him the entire first two weeks of the season and was first reported in the run-up to the Week 1 game vs Houston.
- When it happened: Early September 2026, during the week of preparation for the Week 1 game vs the Houston Texans. It cost him Week 1 (vs Houston) and Week 2 (Thursday Sept 17 vs Detroit).
- Typical recovery for this injury: Hamstring strains: Grade I 1-2 weeks, Grade II 3-6 weeks, Grade III 8+ weeks or surgical. A roughly three-week absence with a clean return to three full practices places this at a Grade I-to-low-Grade-II strain that was managed conservatively. The relevant caution: hamstring re-injury rates are among the highest of any soft-tissue injury in the NFL, roughly one in three within the same season, and re-strains are typically worse than the original.
- Expected back to full health: Already there for practice purposes — he is off the report and a full participant. Expect a deliberately managed snap count in his first game back (Week 3, Sept 27) with a normalized workload by Week 4, and true full health from roughly Oct 4, 2026 onward.
- Next game: PLAYING. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 vs the Los Angeles Chargers at Highmark Stadium. No designation, three full practices, and the head coach publicly clearing him. Season debut. Expect a limited, specialist snap share rather than a full committee role in game one back.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) vs LA Chargers: season debut on a managed snap count, likely 6-12 snaps concentrated on obvious passing downs. Weeks 4-6: ramping toward his established third-down role, roughly 20-30 percent of snaps, pass-protection and check-down work. He will not threaten James Cook’s early-down or goal-line volume. The realistic ceiling over this window is a pass-catching change-of-pace role; the realistic risk is a hamstring re-strain in the first two games back.
- Who benefits if he sits: Ray Davis (RB3 on Ourlads but the primary early-down handcuff) would take the change-of-pace work, with Frank Gore Jr. (practice squad, elevated for the Week 2 Detroit game) available as a gameday elevation. James Cook’s workload would concentrate further, which is the fantasy-relevant version of this answer.
- Change since Week 2: MATERIAL UPGRADE. On the Sept 18 baseline he was QUESTIONABLE with a hamstring after a week of limited practices, and he did not play. He has now gone Full/Full/Full, been removed from the injury report entirely, been cleared publicly by Joe Brady, and will make his season debut. Straight upgrade from questionable-and-inactive to no designation.
Fantasy takeaway: Not a fantasy add in 12-team full PPR. His return is a mild, non-fatal negative for James Cook — it shaves a handful of passing-down snaps off Cook’s ceiling but does not touch his early-down or goal-line role, and Cook remains an elite weekly RB1. Ty Johnson himself is waiver-wire filler only in deep leagues or as a Cook handcuff speculation; Ray Davis is the better handcuff if you want Buffalo backfield insurance, since he’d inherit the early-down work if Cook missed time.
Samaje Perine — CIN (RB2 — second-team running back behind Chase Brown on the Ourlads depth chart, ahead of Tahj Brooks; primarily the passing-down and pass-protection back)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) FINAL Friday outcome confirming the issue is closed. Perine appears NOWHERE on Cincinnati’s FINAL Sept 25, 2026 official Week 3 injury report for the Sept 27 game at Pittsburgh. No practice designation, no game-status tag.
- Practice this week: Full and unlisted (Friday Sept 25). Full week: full and unlisted Wed Sept 23 -> full and unlisted Thu Sept 24 -> full and unlisted Fri Sept 25. He was never added to the Week 3 report at any point.
- Injury: Illness — now fully resolved
- When it happened: Added to Cincinnati’s injury report on Thursday Sept 17, 2026 with an illness ahead of the Week 2 game at Houston on Sept 20. He did not practice Thursday or Friday of that week but drew no game-status tag.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Non-specific viral illness in an NFL player: 2-7 days to full clearance, with the main practical constraints being hydration, weight loss and conditioning rather than musculoskeletal healing. Perine’s cleared inside the expected window.
- Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Week 3 (week of Sept 21-27, 2026). No lingering conditioning restriction reported.
- Next game: FULL GO, no designation, for Week 3 at the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Sept 27, 2026, 1:00 PM ET.
- Next four weeks: Healthy Weeks 3-6. His role is stable and narrow: the passing-down complement to Chase Brown, with goal-line work occasionally mixed in. Nothing in the Weeks 3-6 schedule changes that usage profile.
- Who benefits if he sits: Tahj Brooks (RB3) is the direct next man up and would inherit the passing-down snaps, with practice-squad backs Kentrel Bullock and Kendall Milton behind him.
- Change since Week 2: UPGRADED. On Sept 18 he was on the practice report with an illness (not listed Wed -> DNP Thu -> DNP Fri) with NO game-status tag filed. He is now off the injury report entirely — the illness is fully resolved and he is unlisted.
Fantasy takeaway: Not a startable option in 12-team full PPR as long as Chase Brown is healthy. Perine holds standalone value only as a contingency — he is Chase Brown’s handcuff and would be a borderline RB2 in full PPR if Brown missed time, given his receiving role. Roster him only if you own Chase Brown or need a bench stash in a deeper league.
Emari Demercado — DAL (RB2 — the direct Javonte Williams handcuff and the passing-down/change-of-pace back. Ourlads (09/21/2026) lists him second behind Williams.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he does not appear anywhere on the Cowboys’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official game-status report for the Sept 27 game vs Baltimore. Dallas filed only four players, all defenders (Cobie Durant, Malik Hooker, P.J. Locke, DeMarvion Overshown), plus LB James Houston at full participation.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, not on it Thu Sept 24, not on it Fri Sept 25 — no participation level is filed for a player who never appears on the report, which by rule means he practiced without restriction all three days.
- Next game: ACTIVE and expected to play Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro, in his established RB2 role behind Javonte Williams.
- Next four weeks: Expected available and healthy through Weeks 3-6, beginning with Baltimore on Sept 27. His standalone value stays matchup-thin as long as Williams is upright; his ceiling is entirely contingent on a Williams absence.
- Who benefits if he sits: Tyler Goodson, the RB3, would slide into the change-of-pace and passing-down work, with Hunter Luepke (FB) absorbing short-yardage and Israel Abanikanda a practice-squad elevation candidate.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 in health or designation, but the depth picture is now fully confirmed rather than inferred: Davis is on season-ending IR, Goodson is on the active roster behind him, and Demercado is the outright handcuff.
Fantasy takeaway: The must-hold Javonte Williams handcuff in a 12-team full-PPR league. With Malik Davis on season-ending IR there is no competing claim on the job — if Williams misses time, Demercado inherits a genuine bell-cow role in a good offense. Stash him if you roster Williams; otherwise he is a bench-depth flier, not a weekly starter.
RJ Harvey — DEN (RB2 — the change-of-pace and passing-down complement to J.K. Dobbins, listed second on Ourlads.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (b) he appears on Denver’s Week 3 practice report with a hamstring listing but the club explicitly assigned him NO final game status on the Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Denver’s own release headline states Harvey and Dobbins were ‘not assigned game statuses.’
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. Two consecutive full practices closing the week.
- Injury: Hamstring strain, left untagged by the club as to grade.
- When it happened: Sustained in the Week 1 season-opening loss at Kansas City on Monday Sept 14, 2026. It carried through Week 2 and cost him the Sept 20 game vs. Jacksonville.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Grade 1 hamstring strain: roughly 1-3 weeks. Grade 2: 3-6 weeks. Grade 3 (full-thickness tear): 8-12 weeks and often IR. Missing exactly one game and returning to back-to-back full practices in the following week is the classic Grade 1 arc. Re-aggravation risk stays elevated for about two to three weeks after return, which is the real thing to watch.
- Expected back to full health: Effectively full health as of Friday Sept 25, 2026 — a full practice with no game-status tag is the club saying he is a normal football player again. Residual re-injury risk through roughly Oct 10, 2026 (Week 5).
- Next game: PLAY, unrestricted. No designation filed means Denver expects a normal workload in the Sunday Sept 27 Sunday Night Football game vs. the Los Angeles Rams. Expect his usual RB2 committee share, possibly a touch more given Jonah Coleman is ruled out.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 vs. Rams: active, full RB2 role, and with Coleman out he is the only other healthy back of consequence behind Dobbins. Week 4 vs. Seattle through Week 6: expected active and full. The workload picture actually improves relative to the baseline — Coleman’s ankle removes the committee’s third mouth. Monitor for a soft-tissue re-tweak, the usual tail risk on a hamstring returning off one missed game.
- Who benefits if he sits: Jonah Coleman would be the next man up, except he is himself ruled OUT for Week 3 with an ankle — so the actual next man is Tyler Badie (RB4, ACT), with Cody Schrader (DEV) available for a practice-squad elevation. J.K. Dobbins (RB1) would absorb the bulk of the touches.
- Change since Week 2: UPGRADED, and materially. Baseline Sept 18: QUESTIONABLE, limited Friday, and he ultimately did not play in Week 2. Now: full practice Thursday and Friday, no game-status designation at all, and his competition for snaps (Jonah Coleman) is ruled out.
Fantasy takeaway: START-ABLE FLEX in a 12-team full-PPR redraft. This is the buy signal: full practice, no designation, and his nearest competitor for touches (Coleman) is ruled out. In full PPR his passing-down role has real floor. If a Coleman-chasing manager in your league is now stuck, Harvey is also a fine cheap trade target.
DJ Giddens — IND (RB2 — early-down/change-of-pace back behind Jonathan Taylor)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) final Friday outcome: fully cleared, no injury and no game-status tag on Indianapolis’ official Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sept 27, 2026 home game vs. Houston.
- Practice this week: Full participation (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Knee (now resolved)
- When it happened: Injured in Week 1 practice; was Questionable and inactive for Week 2 at Kansas City
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — cleared
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now
- Next game: Expected to play Sunday, Sept 27, 2026 vs. Houston with no injury designation
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: available as the clear RB2 behind Jonathan Taylor, with change-of-pace and passing-down work; monitor for any workload increase if Taylor is ever given a rest day
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — he is now the healthy backup; Seth McGowan is next in line behind him
- Change since Week 2: CLEARED since Sept 18 — was Questionable (knee) on the Sept 18 baseline and missed Week 2 entirely; now fully cleared with no designation for Week 3.
Fantasy takeaway: Handcuff-only value behind Jonathan Taylor in 12-team full-PPR; not a standalone start, but a must-roster Taylor insurance piece now that he’s fully cleared
Keaton Mitchell — LAC (RB2 — second on Ourlads behind Omarion Hampton, ahead of Kimani Vidal; the change-of-pace and explosive-play back.)
- Status: RESOLVED — (b) no injury designation of any kind. He does not appear on the Chargers’ Week 3 injury report for Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, and received no final game-status designation on the Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the Buffalo Bills.
- Practice this week: Full — unlisted all three days. Full week: not on the report Wed Sept 23, not on the report Thu Sept 24, not on the report Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: None currently. The hamstring issue that had him on the Week 1 practice report has fully cleared and has not recurred.
- When it happened: The hamstring issue dates to early September 2026 and had already resolved by the Week 2 report. There has been no new event since.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A Grade 1 hamstring strain is roughly 1-3 weeks; he is well beyond that window and has now been unlisted for two consecutive weeks, which closes the question.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Friday Sept 25, 2026, and has been since the Week 2 report.
- Next game: PLAY, unrestricted, in his RB2 change-of-pace role. He is active with no limitation for the Sunday Sept 27, 1:00 p.m. ET game at the Buffalo Bills.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: healthy and active throughout barring new injury. He is the direct handcuff to Omarion Hampton and carries real standalone big-play equity in full PPR given his speed on outlet routes, but his weekly volume is thin while Hampton is healthy.
- Who benefits if he sits: Kimani Vidal (RB3) would move into the change-of-pace role behind Omarion Hampton. Amar Johnson and Gregory Desrosiers (both DEV) are the practice-squad elevation candidates.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was already RESOLVED and unlisted on the Sept 18 baseline and remains fully cleared and off the report.
Fantasy takeaway: Roster him in a 12-team full-PPR redraft if you also roster Omarion Hampton — he is the handcuff with the most standalone upside in this backfield and an explosive-play profile that plays up in full PPR. Not a Week 3 start on his own. If you do not have Hampton, he is a bench-stash dart rather than a must-add.
DeeJay Dallas — MIN (RB2 — the backup and primary handcuff to Aaron Jones with Jordan Mason on IR)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) FINAL Friday game-status position on Minnesota’s Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at Tampa Bay. Dallas was limited midweek but cleared by Friday and carries no designation.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Toe — Minnesota listed it as ‘toe’ without specifying which foot, which digit, or a grade.
- When it happened: Surfaced on Minnesota’s first Week 3 practice report on Wednesday Sept 23, 2026. He was not listed on the Sept 18 final Week 2 report, so the issue arose either in the Week 2 game at Chicago on Sept 20 or in early Week 3 practice.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Toe injuries span a wide range. A simple contusion or sprain of a lesser toe costs 0-2 weeks. A true turf toe (first metatarsophalangeal joint sprain) is the concerning version: grade I costs 1-2 weeks, grade II 2-4 weeks, and grade III can cost 6-10 weeks and is notorious for lingering across a season because push-off is directly compromised. A player who practices limited twice and then clears to full is presenting as the mild end of that range.
- Expected back to full health: Effectively healthy now, as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. Some maintenance limitation in practice may persist, but it should not affect game availability.
- Next game: Will play in Week 3 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sunday Sept 27, 2026, in a backup role behind Aaron Jones.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sun Sept 27 at Tampa Bay) through Week 6: expected available. His value is entirely contingent — Jordan Mason cannot return before Week 6, so if Aaron Jones’ knee flares up again at any point in Weeks 3-6, Dallas is the immediate lead back, not a committee member.
- Who benefits if he sits: Demond Claiborne (RB3), a sixth-round rookie, would move up, with Max Bredeson (FB) handling short-yardage. Jaret Patterson and Jerome Ford (both DEV) are the practice-squad elevation candidates — Patterson was signed in the week of Sept 22, 2026 specifically because of this thin room.
- Change since Week 2: New to this report. Dallas carried no entry on the Sept 18 baseline; the toe appeared on Minnesota’s Wednesday Sept 23 Week 3 report.
Fantasy takeaway: A priority handcuff stash in 12-team full-PPR if you roster Aaron Jones, and a defensible speculative add even if you do not. Jones is over 30, just took 23 carries, missed a Wednesday practice with a knee, and has no established complement until Week 6 at the earliest. Dallas has standalone flex value the moment Jones sits. He is not startable this week with Jones active.
Rhamondre Stevenson — NE (RB2 on the Sept 24 Ourlads update — he has been passed by TreVeyon Henderson. This is a DOWNGRADE from his RB1 role on the Sept 18 baseline.)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on New England’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is entirely off the report.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25) and unlisted. Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25, unlisted on all three days.
- Injury: None. He carries no active injury and has not been listed on a New England injury report in Week 2 or Week 3.
- When it happened: Not applicable — no injury. He is carried in this report because he was tracked on the Sept 18 baseline and because his depth-chart role has changed materially.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no injury to recover from.
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026. No restrictions.
- Next game: PLAYING, unrestricted, but in a REDUCED role. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 at the Jacksonville Jaguars, EverBank Stadium. No designation. The Ourlads depth chart updated Sept 24 has him second behind TreVeyon Henderson.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Jacksonville and Weeks 4-6: fully healthy throughout, but his workload is the open question rather than his availability. If the Henderson-first depth chart reflects a genuine change in New England’s usage rather than a one-week blip, Stevenson’s touches trend downward across this window. He retains short-yardage and goal-line value, which is the floor. Watch the Week 3 snap-count distribution at Jacksonville — it is the cleanest read on whether this is real.
- Who benefits if he sits: TreVeyon Henderson (now RB1) would take the full workload. Corey Kiner (RB3) would move into the rotation. Reggie Gilliam (FB) handles lead-blocking and short-yardage.
- Change since Week 2: DEPTH-CHART DOWNGRADE, health unchanged. On the Sept 18 baseline he was RESOLVED with no designation AND was listed as the RB1 ahead of TreVeyon Henderson. His health is identical — still fully off the report, still three full practices — but the Ourlads depth chart updated Sept 24, 2026 now places Henderson ahead of him. This is the meaningful change and it is a role change, not a health change.
Fantasy takeaway: SELL or bench-with-caution in 12-team full PPR. He is perfectly healthy — this is not an injury call — but the depth chart moved against him as of Sept 24 and TreVeyon Henderson is now listed ahead of him. He is a flex play at best this week and his trade value is likely higher than his rest-of-season outlook justifies. If you can move him for a stable WR2, do it. Keep him rostered only if you need the goal-line insurance.
Alvin Kamara — NO (RB2 – passing-down and change-of-pace back behind Travis Etienne Jr., still a major part of the committee)
- Status: RESOLVED – (a) he does not appear anywhere on New Orleans’ Week 3 injury reports – not Wednesday Sept 23, not Thursday Sept 24, and not on the FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 home game vs Las Vegas. He is completely off the paperwork for the second consecutive week.
- Practice this week: Full and unlisted (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not listed Wed Sept 23 -> not listed Thu Sept 24 -> not listed Fri Sept 25. No limitation on any of the three days.
- Injury: MCL sprain, carried on prior official reports simply as ‘Knee’ (now healed)
- When it happened: Sustained earlier in the 2026 season and carried through the early weeks. He had already practiced fully all three days of the Week 2 cycle and carried a blank game status on the Sept 18 final report, so the knee was functionally resolved a week ago and is now formally off the report.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Grade 1 MCL sprains cost an NFL running back 1-2 weeks, Grade 2 runs 3-5 weeks, Grade 3 runs 6-8-plus weeks or requires surgery. Kamara practicing fully and playing without a designation for two straight weeks confirms a Grade 1 that has fully consolidated. MCLs, unlike ACLs, heal reliably without surgery and do not carry a significant lingering re-injury tail once a player is back to full practice.
- Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy – confirmed clean for a second consecutive week as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. No residual restriction. THIS THREAD IS CLOSED.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY, fully healthy and unrestricted, in the Week 3 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Sept 27, 2026. He carries no designation.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: Week 3 vs Las Vegas (Sept 27), Week 4 vs Atlanta (Mon Oct 5, MNF), Week 5 vs Minnesota, Week 6 at the New York Giants (Oct 18). The health question is settled; the usage question is not. If Travis Etienne Jr.’s hamstring limits his snap count this week, Kamara is the direct beneficiary and could lead the backfield in touches. Kellen Moore’s ‘committee opportunity’ framing cuts both ways – it caps Etienne and it raises Kamara’s floor.
- Who benefits if he sits: Travis Etienne Jr. (RB1) is already ahead of him and would absorb his work. CJ Donaldson (RB3) and Kendre Miller (RB4) would move up. Zamir White (DEV) is the practice-squad depth.
- Change since Week 2: CHANGED since Sept 18 – an upgrade in paperwork terms. He was ON the Week 2 final report with a blank game status after full practices; he is now completely OFF the Week 3 report. His status was asked about specifically last week and the answer is definitive: fully cleared, no designation, no practice limitation.
Fantasy takeaway: Start him as a flex in 12-team full-PPR and hold him confidently. The knee is fully resolved – that was the open question from last week and the answer is clean. In full PPR his pass-catching role is the most reliable source of points in this backfield, and he is the immediate beneficiary if Etienne’s hamstring flares. He is arguably the better start of the two this week.
Tank Bigsby — PHI (RB2 — the primary Saquon Barkley handcuff and early-down complement, second on the Ourlads (09/24/2026) order.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (b) a practice-report-only status with no final tag. Philadelphia plays Monday night Sept 28 at Chicago, so its final game-status report is not due until Saturday Sept 27 and NO FINAL TAG EXISTS YET as of Friday Sept 25. He appeared on the Wednesday and Thursday practice reports with an abdomen injury but returned to FULL participation Friday, which typically clears a player off the final report entirely.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. He was present at Thursday’s session without participating, then returned to full work Friday.
- Injury: Abdomen.
- When it happened: Surfaced during the Week 3 practice week, first appearing as a Wednesday Sept 23 non-participation. Not tied to a specific Week 2 game snap.
- Typical recovery for this injury: An abdominal strain or oblique-class injury runs 1-3 weeks for a mild case and 4-6 weeks if it involves a core-muscle or sports-hernia-type tear. Returning to full practice within three days points firmly at the mild end — a genuine core injury does not go DNP to Full inside a week.
- Expected back to full health: Already functionally healthy as of Friday Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3), given the full session.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY in Week 3, Monday Sept 28, 2026 at the Chicago Bears, in his RB2 role — with real upside for an expanded workload if Barkley’s stinger limits his snaps.
- Next four weeks: Expected available Weeks 3-6, beginning at Chicago. His value over this stretch is a direct function of Barkley’s stinger: a Barkley absence or snap-count reduction turns Bigsby into a genuine RB2/flex.
- Who benefits if he sits: Will Shipley (RB3) would take the complementary role behind Barkley, with Jaydon Blue, Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele (all DEV) as practice-squad elevation candidates.
- Change since Week 2: NEW to this report. He is not in the Sept 18 baseline — he was healthy and unlisted. The abdomen issue surfaced Wednesday Sept 23, cost him two practices, and cleared with a full Friday session.
Fantasy takeaway: The single most valuable handcuff add in this division right now for 12-team full-PPR. He is healthy again after a full Friday, and the back ahead of him has a stinger and three straight Limited practices. Add him this week if he is on waivers, and consider flexing him if Barkley is tagged Questionable on Saturday’s report.
Kaelon Black — SF (RB2 — backup/passing-down back behind Christian McCaffrey)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries no entry at all on San Francisco’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 25, 2026 for the Sept 27 home game vs. Arizona.
- Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point Week 3 (Wed Sept 23 – Fri Sept 25).
- Injury: Groin (adductor strain)
- When it happened: Mid-September 2026, ahead of the Week 2 game vs. Miami
- Typical recovery for this injury: Mild adductor strains (Questionable-and-played cases) typically resolve within 1-2 weeks
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health; he was cleared and played in Week 2
- Next game: No restrictions for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Arizona
- Next four weeks: Fully available Weeks 3-6 as San Francisco’s clear RB2 behind McCaffrey
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — fully healthy
- Change since Week 2: Changed since Sept 18: last week he was Questionable (groin) after a Limited Friday; this week he is fully off the injury report.
Fantasy takeaway: Viable McCaffrey-handcuff/flex play with no lingering injury concern
Rachaad White — WAS (RB2 — second on the Ourlads (09/21/2026) order behind Jacory Croskey-Merritt and the primary passing-down back.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he carries no designation of any kind on Washington’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 game vs Seattle. He does not appear on the report at all.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — full participation all three days.
- Next game: ACTIVE and available for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Seattle Seahawks at home, as the RB2 and passing-down back.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 3-6, starting with Seattle. A likely negative game script against the 2-0 defending champions is mildly favorable for a receiving back’s target volume.
- Who benefits if he sits: Kaytron Allen (RB3) would move up; Craig Reynolds and Robert Henry Jr. (both DEV) are practice-squad depth.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Still healthy and entirely off the report.
Fantasy takeaway: A flex-only option in 12-team full-PPR, worth a look in a game Washington is likely to trail. He is healthy and the Croskey-Merritt handcuff, but Marcus Mariota under center caps the offense. PPR receptions are his path, not carries.
Tyler Goodson — DAL (RB3 — third on the Ourlads (09/21/2026) running back order behind Javonte Williams and Emari Demercado.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he does not appear on the Cowboys’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official game-status report for the Sept 27 game vs Baltimore. The only Dallas players filed are four defenders and LB James Houston.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — he practiced without restriction all three days.
- Injury: None. Healthy.
- When it happened: N/A — no injury to date in 2026 with Dallas.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy and carries no injury that requires a recovery window.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: ACTIVE and expected to be available Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro, though as RB3 he is a game-script-dependent and special-teams contributor rather than a rotation lock.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 3-6. His path to touches runs only through an injury to Williams or Demercado; absent that he is a low-snap reserve.
- Who benefits if he sits: Israel Abanikanda (practice squad, re-signed Sept 17, 2026) would be the elevation candidate, with Hunter Luepke (FB) taking short-yardage work.
- Change since Week 2: CONFIRMED and refined vs Sept 18: the baseline already had him signed to the active roster, and that is verified — Dallas signed him off the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad on Sept 15, 2026, waiving Israel Abanikanda to make room. He remains ACT and healthy.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league. He is the third body in a backfield where the handcuff equity belongs to Demercado. Only a Williams-and-Demercado double absence would make him a streamer.
LeQuint Allen Jr. — JAX (RB3 — pass-catching/change-of-pace back behind Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez Jr.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) final Friday outcome: he appeared on Jacksonville’s official Sept 25, 2026 report as a practice participant but the club filed no Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag for the Sept 27, 2026 home game vs. the New England Patriots.
- Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Limited Thu Sept 24 -> Limited Fri Sept 25.
- Injury: Hip
- When it happened: Ongoing soft-tissue issue carried since Week 2
- Typical recovery for this injury: A hip injury managed with a full week of limited (but not zero) practice and no game tag typically does not threaten availability, though it can cap explosiveness/snap share
- Expected back to full health: Likely to remain a week-to-week ‘limited practice, plays Sunday’ situation for the near term
- Next game: Expected to play Sunday, Sept 27, 2026 vs. the New England Patriots, no injury designation
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: expected to continue in his current RB3/passing-down complementary role behind Tuten, contingent on the hip not worsening
- Who benefits if he sits: Ameer Abdullah would absorb his passing-down/change-of-pace snaps if he were ever held out
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — same hip issue, same lack of game-status tag, carried over from the prior week.
Fantasy takeaway: Deep-league/handcuff dart-throw only in 12-team full-PPR; not a lineup consideration behind Tuten
Ollie Gordon II — MIA (RB3 on the Ourlads depth chart, but functionally the RB2 for Week 3 with Jaylen Wright DOUBTFUL — the direct De’Von Achane handcuff)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on Miami’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 27 game vs Kansas City. He is entirely off the report and HEALTHY.
- Next game: PLAYING, unrestricted, with an EXPANDED role. Week 3, Sunday Sept 27 vs the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium. No designation. With Jaylen Wright doubtful and almost certainly inactive, Gordon steps into the No. 2 running back job.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) vs Kansas City: effective RB2 with real snaps behind De’Von Achane. Week 4 and beyond: his role contracts back toward RB3 whenever Jaylen Wright is cleared, which could be as soon as Week 4 or as late as Week 6 depending on the foot diagnosis. His value over this window is entirely contingent — he is the Achane handcuff, and that is the role to own him for.
- Who benefits if he sits: DJ Herman (FB) would handle short-yardage work. Jarquez Hunter (DEV) and Carlos Washington (DEV) would be the practice-squad elevation candidates. De’Von Achane would absorb an unsustainable workload.
- Change since Week 2: No change to his health since Sept 18 — he was RESOLVED on the baseline and remains healthy and unlisted. His ROLE has changed materially: Jaylen Wright’s DOUBTFUL designation promotes him from RB3 to effective RB2 for Week 3, which is the reason he is worth tracking.
Fantasy takeaway: Priority waiver add in 12-team full PPR this week. He is the outright De’Von Achane handcuff with Jaylen Wright doubtful, and Achane is a top-tier RB1 whose owner cannot afford to be uninsured. As a standalone Week 3 start he is a deep-league flex only — Achane dominates the touches — but the contingent value is high enough that he should not be on waivers in any competitive 12-team league. If you own Achane, this is your must-add of the week.
Najee Harris — NYG (RB3 — third on the Ourlads (09/23/2026) order behind Cam Skattebo and Devin Singletary, and now ahead of Tyrone Tracy Jr. He is the short-yardage and early-down complement.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he carries no designation on the Giants’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sept 27 game vs Tennessee. He is not on the official report in any capacity.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — full participation all three days.
- Injury: None currently. Historical context only: he is well past the prior-season Achilles issue he rehabbed, and it has not appeared on a 2026 report.
- When it happened: N/A for 2026 — no injury this season.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy and carries no injury that requires a recovery window.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: ACTIVE and available for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium, in a short-yardage and rotational role behind Skattebo and Singletary.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 3-6. A wet, windy, run-leaning Week 3 script vs Tennessee is mildly favorable for a big-bodied short-yardage back, but he sits third in line for the work.
- Who benefits if he sits: Tyrone Tracy Jr. (RB4) would move up, with Phil Mafah (DEV) the practice-squad elevation candidate.
- Change since Week 2: CHANGED since Sept 18 on the depth chart: Ourlads (09/23/2026) now has him THIRD, ahead of Tyrone Tracy Jr., whereas the baseline had him fourth. His health status is unchanged — still no designation, still off the report.
Fantasy takeaway: A deep-bench stash at best in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league. He has moved up to RB3 ahead of Tracy, which is a small arrow up, but he is still two injuries away from real volume. Not a startable option.
Isaiah Davis — NYJ (RB3 — third on the Ourlads depth chart behind Breece Hall and Braelon Allen; rotational and special-teams work)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on the Jets’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 game at the Detroit Lions.
The prior knee listing was a maintenance entry only and was fully resolved before the Week 2 game. He has not appeared on a Jets injury report in Week 2 or Week 3.
- When it happened: Not applicable for Week 3 — no current injury. The prior knee maintenance listing dates to early September 2026 and resolved before the Sept 20 game vs Green Bay.
With Kene Nwangwu doubtful, Davis may absorb some of the special-teams work as well.
- Next four weeks: Week 3 (Sept 27) at Detroit and Weeks 4-6: healthy and available throughout in the RB3 role. His snap share gets a marginal bump while Kene Nwangwu is sidelined, mostly on special teams rather than on offense. He remains behind both Breece Hall and Braelon Allen and does not have a path to standalone fantasy value absent injuries ahead of him.
- Who benefits if he sits: Braelon Allen (RB2) and Breece Hall (RB1) are both ahead of him and would simply absorb his limited snaps. Al-Jay Henderson (DEV) is a practice-squad elevation candidate. Andrew Beck (FB) covers short-yardage blocking.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was RESOLVED on the baseline and remains RESOLVED — three full practices, no listing, no designation. The only marginal change is that Kene Nwangwu’s DOUBTFUL status may push a few special-teams snaps his way.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR. He is the RB3 behind a healthy Breece Hall and a healthy Braelon Allen, and Allen is the handcuff that matters. Leave Davis on waivers; he is relevant only in the specific scenario where both Hall and Allen are unavailable.
Will Shipley — PHI (RB3 — the passing-down and change-of-pace back, third on the Ourlads (09/24/2026) order behind Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby.)
He was on the Wednesday and Thursday practice reports with a foot injury but returned to FULL participation Friday.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. He was not observed at Thursday’s open media period, which beat writers noted does not by itself confirm total absence; the official report had him DNP.
- Injury: Foot.
- When it happened: Surfaced during the Week 3 practice week, first appearing as a Wednesday Sept 23 non-participation. Not tied to a specific Week 2 game snap.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A generic foot injury spans a wide range — a contusion or mild sprain is 1-2 weeks, a midfoot Lisfranc or a Jones fracture is 8-12 weeks or season-ending. Returning to FULL practice within three days rules out the severe categories entirely and points to a contusion or minor sprain.
- Expected back to full health: Already functionally healthy as of Friday Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3), given the full session.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY in Week 3, Monday Sept 28, 2026 at the Chicago Bears, in his RB3 passing-down role.
- Next four weeks: Expected available Weeks 3-6, beginning at Chicago. He is third in line, so his volume is contingent on injuries ahead of him — but with Barkley managing a stinger, a passing-down specialist has a plausible path to receiving work in a bad-script game.
- Who benefits if he sits: Jaydon Blue, Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele (all DEV) are the practice-squad options; Tank Bigsby would absorb the additional snaps.
- Change since Week 2: NEW to this report. He is not in the Sept 18 baseline — he was healthy and unlisted. The foot issue surfaced Wednesday Sept 23, cost him two practices, and cleared with a full Friday session.
Fantasy takeaway: A deep-league and handcuff-adjacent hold only in 12-team full-PPR — Bigsby is the add, not Shipley. His full Friday clears the injury concern, but he needs two backs down to matter. Worth a bench spot only if you roster Barkley and have room after Bigsby.
Emanuel Wilson — SEA (RB3 — depth back)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries no entry at all on Seattle’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 25, 2026 for the Sept 27 home game vs. Washington.
- Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point Week 3 (Wed Sept 23 – Fri Sept 25).
- Injury: None — an undisclosed minor Week 1 issue has fully resolved
- When it happened: Early September 2026
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — already resolved
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy
- Next game: No restrictions for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Washington
- Next four weeks: Fully available Weeks 3-6 in a depth role
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — fully healthy
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18 — remains fully resolved and off the injury report.
Fantasy takeaway: Deep-league depth option only; no injury concern
Sean Tucker — TB (RB3 – listed alongside Kenny Gainwell as the complement behind Bucky Irving on the club’s Week 3 depth chart)
- Status: RESOLVED – (a) he does not appear anywhere on Tampa Bay’s Week 3 injury reports – not Wednesday Sept 23, not Thursday Sept 24, and not on the FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 home game vs Minnesota. This is the second consecutive week he has been fully off the report.
- Practice this week: Full and unlisted (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not listed Wed Sept 23 -> not listed Thu Sept 24 -> not listed Fri Sept 25. No limitation on any of the three days.
- Injury: Hamstring strain (resolved before Week 2 and still resolved)
- When it happened: Originated in early-to-mid September 2026. He was on Tampa Bay’s practice report during the Week 2 cycle but practiced fully every day and came off the final Sept 18 report without a designation.
- Typical recovery for this injury: Grade 1 hamstring strains cost an NFL running back 1-3 weeks, Grade 2 runs 3-6 weeks, Grade 3 is 8-plus weeks. Tucker’s cleared inside the Grade 1 band without ever missing a practice. He is now at or past the four-week elevated re-injury window that follows a hamstring return.
- Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy – confirmed clean for a second straight week as of Friday Sept 25, 2026. No residual restriction.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO PLAY, healthy and unrestricted, in the Week 3 home game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Sept 27, 2026 (4:05 p.m. ET). He carries no designation. His snap count, not his health, is the limiting factor.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: available all four – Week 3 vs Minnesota (Sept 27), Week 4 vs Green Bay (Oct 4), Week 5 vs Dallas, Week 6 vs Pittsburgh (Oct 18), all at home. The usage picture is the problem: Bucky Irving played 51 snaps to Kenny Gainwell’s 23 in Week 2 with 21 touches to Gainwell’s 5, which leaves Tucker with scraps behind both of them.
- Who benefits if he sits: Josh Williams (DEV) is the practice-squad elevation candidate. Bucky Irving (RB1) and Kenny Gainwell (RB2) are both ahead of Tucker, so no fantasy-relevant player gains from his absence.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. He was already marked RESOLVED on the baseline and remains completely off the injury report for a second consecutive week.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league as the third back behind an every-down RB1. He is a handcuff-of-a-handcuff. The only reason to hold him is if you own Bucky Irving AND Kenny Gainwell is already rostered elsewhere – and even then, Gainwell is the one who would take over.
Kaytron Allen — WAS (RB3 — third on the Ourlads (09/21/2026) order behind Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he carries no designation on Washington’s FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sept 27 game vs Seattle. The club’s final filing has five players OUT and only LB Leo Chenal Questionable; Allen is on neither list after his practice participation improved through the week.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. A clean upward trend that cleared him off the final report.
- Injury: Hip — a minor issue, evidently precautionary given he reached full participation by Thursday and held it Friday.
- When it happened: Surfaced during the Week 3 practice week, first appearing as a Limited listing on Wednesday Sept 23, 2026. Not tied to a specific Week 2 game snap.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A minor hip flexor or hip pointer contusion runs 1-2 weeks; a hip labral or structural issue would be 4-12 weeks or surgical. Reaching full participation within 48 hours rules out the structural tier entirely and marks this as a 1-2 day management item.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3), given two consecutive full practices.
- Next game: ACTIVE and expected to be available for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Seattle Seahawks at home, in a rotational RB3 role behind Croskey-Merritt and White.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 3-6, beginning with Seattle. He is third in line for carries and needs an injury ahead of him to matter.
- Who benefits if he sits: Craig Reynolds and Robert Henry Jr. (both DEV) are the practice-squad backs; Jeremy McNichols remains on the reserve list.
- Change since Week 2: CHANGED since Sept 18 — different injury, same outcome. The baseline listed him with a dual ankle/knee item and a blank Game Status. The Week 3 listing is a HIP, a new issue, which he practiced through Limited-Full-Full before clearing the final report entirely.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league. RB3 on a team whose offense just lost its quarterback is the wrong side of two problems. The hip cleared, but that does not create a role.
Israel Abanikanda — DAL (Practice-squad RB4 — behind Javonte Williams, Emari Demercado and Tyler Goodson; an emergency elevation body only.)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he does not appear on the Cowboys’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official game-status report for the Sept 27 game vs Baltimore. nfl.com carries him with the code DEV (practice squad) on the Cowboys’ official roster as of Fri Sept 25, 2026.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — he practiced without restriction all three days.
- Injury: None. Healthy. He is on this report as a roster correction rather than an injury case.
- When it happened: N/A — no injury. His roster movement is transactional, not medical.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy and carries no injury that requires a recovery window.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: Practice squad for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro. He would need a standard practice-squad elevation to be active, and none has been reported.
- Next four weeks: Expected to remain on the practice squad through Weeks 3-6 barring an injury to one of the three backs ahead of him. He carries two more standard elevations for the season if Dallas wants him on a gameday roster.
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — as the last back in the room there is nobody below him; Hunter Luepke (FB) would absorb any residual carries.
- Change since Week 2: NEW to this report. He is not in the Sept 18 baseline at all. Dallas signed him to the 53-man roster Sept 12 when Malik Davis went to IR, waived him Sept 15 to sign Tyler Goodson, and re-signed him to the practice squad Sept 17, 2026. He now shows DEV on the official roster.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league and not a handcuff worth speculating on. Note his name only because a Williams injury plus a Demercado injury would make him a same-week waiver name.
Kendre Miller — NO (RB4 – fourth back behind Travis Etienne Jr., Alvin Kamara and CJ Donaldson)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION – (a) he appears on New Orleans’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 27 home game vs the Las Vegas Raiders listed with ‘Illness’ but carries a BLANK Game Status column after returning to a full practice on Friday.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not listed Wed Sept 23 -> DNP Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25. He was added to the report on Thursday with an illness and cleared it within a day. (One aggregator reported him as a full participant on Wednesday; the club’s own Wednesday report does not list him, so ‘not listed Wednesday’ is the accurate reading.)
- Injury: Illness (non-orthopedic) – New Orleans has not specified the nature of it
- When it happened: Reported Thursday Sept 24, 2026, when he was added to the injury report as a non-participant. He had been inactive for the Week 2 game at Baltimore on Sept 20 for roster-management reasons rather than injury – head coach Kellen Moore said that decision ‘came down to roster numbers’.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A common in-season illness (viral or GI) typically costs an NFL player one to three days of practice and rarely a game. A single DNP followed by a full practice is the textbook 24-to-48-hour illness pattern with no lingering effect beyond possible conditioning rust.
- Expected back to full health: Already recovered – he practiced fully on Friday Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3). No lingering effect expected.
- Next game: EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE for the Week 3 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Sept 27, 2026. The illness is behind him and he carries no designation. Whether he is ACTIVE is a separate question – he was a healthy scratch in Week 2 purely for roster numbers, and that could repeat.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: Week 3 vs Las Vegas (Sept 27), Week 4 vs Atlanta (Mon Oct 5, MNF), Week 5 vs Minnesota, Week 6 at the New York Giants (Oct 18). His path to snaps runs entirely through Travis Etienne Jr.’s hamstring and Alvin Kamara’s workload. The Audric Estime departure thins the room slightly in his favor, but he still sits fourth.
- Who benefits if he sits: CJ Donaldson (RB3) is directly ahead of him and would take any work he would have gotten. Zamir White (DEV) is the practice-squad elevation candidate. Nobody’s fantasy value moves if Miller is unavailable.
- Change since Week 2: CHANGED since Sept 18. He was marked RESOLVED on the baseline from a minor early-September practice injury. He is back on the report with a NEW issue – an illness that caused a Thursday DNP – but cleared it by Friday with no designation. Also relevant: he was a healthy inactive in Week 2 for roster reasons, which speaks to his standing more than his health does.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league as the RB4 who was a healthy scratch a week ago. He is a deep-league watch-list name only. The one thing that would change that: if Travis Etienne Jr.’s hamstring lands him on IR, Miller becomes a speculative add behind Kamara and Donaldson – but that is two dominoes away.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. — NYG (RB4 — fourth on the Ourlads (09/23/2026) order behind Cam Skattebo, Devin Singletary and Najee Harris. This is a slot lower than the Sept 18 baseline had him.)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries no designation on the Giants’ FINAL Friday Sept 25, 2026 report for the Sept 27 game vs Tennessee. He never appeared on the Week 3 official report at any point.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not on the injury report Wed Sept 23, Thu Sept 24 or Fri Sept 25, so no participation level is filed — full participation all three days.
- Injury: None. The influenza-type illness that briefly listed him earlier in September is fully resolved and has not recurred.
- When it happened: N/A for Week 3. The illness listing was an early-September item and is closed.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — he is healthy. A standard influenza-type illness listing costs an NFL player 2-5 days and is closed as soon as he returns to practice, which he did.
- Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Fri Sept 25, 2026 (Week 3).
- Next game: ACTIVE and available for Week 3, Sunday Sept 27, 2026 vs the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium, but as RB4 he is a special-teams and emergency-rotation player rather than a meaningful touch-getter.
- Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 3-6. His path to volume is blocked by three backs; only a multi-injury scenario would surface him.
- Who benefits if he sits: Phil Mafah (DEV) is the practice-squad back and would be the elevation candidate; Patrick Ricard (FB) and Grant Finley (DEV, FB) handle fullback duties.
- Change since Week 2: CHANGED since Sept 18 — but on the depth chart, not the injury report. He remains resolved and healthy, but Ourlads (09/23/2026) now has him FOURTH, behind Najee Harris, whereas the Sept 18 baseline listed him third ahead of Harris. That is a depth-chart correction against the baseline.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league. He has slid to RB4 in a crowded room behind an established lead back. Drop him if you were holding on an illness-recovery bounce-back thesis.
Pierre Strong — GB (Practice-squad running back depth, behind the three-man active committee)
- Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (c) he is a practice-squad player, verified as status code DEV on https://www.nfl.com/teams/green-bay-packers/roster as of Sept 25, 2026. Practice-squad participation is not published on the official injury report, so no designation exists for him either way.
- Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 25). Full week: Full Wed Sept 23 -> Full Thu Sept 24 -> Full Fri Sept 25, as best as can be established — practice-squad participation is not published, and he carries no reported injury.
- Injury: None verified. The Sept 9 baseline carried an unofficial beat-reporting note that was never corroborated by the club and never appeared on an official report; it should be treated as unsubstantiated.
- When it happened: N/A — no verified injury. No date applies.
- Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — no verified injury to recover from.
- Expected back to full health: Presumed healthy now, as of Sept 25, 2026. Nothing on the official record suggests otherwise.
- Next game: Did not play in Week 3 — Green Bay’s Week 3 was the Thursday Sept 24, 2026 game vs the Atlanta Falcons. He was not elevated for it; the Packers used Chris Brooks, Kaleb Johnson and MarShawn Lloyd.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: expect him to remain on the practice squad, available for standard gameday elevations but behind three active backs. He becomes relevant only if two of Brooks, Johnson or Lloyd go down in the same stretch.
- Who benefits if he sits: Damon Bankston (DEV) is the other practice-squad back. N/A in any practical fantasy sense — Strong is himself the depth.
- Change since Week 2: No change since Sept 18. Status code DEV on the baseline, status code DEV today, with no verified injury at any point.
Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft league. Even the three active Green Bay backs are unstartable in a three-way split behind a bottom-three run-blocking line; a practice-squad fourth back has no path to fantasy relevance absent multiple injuries.
Audric Estime — NO (NO LONGER ON THE ROSTER – he was a depth running back on Reserve/Injured and is now a free agent)
- Status: RESOLVED – (c) roster-list status change rather than a game-status designation. He has been REMOVED from New Orleans’ roster entirely: the Saints waived him from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Sept 22, 2026, which terminates his contract and frees him to sign elsewhere once the settlement period elapses. He does not appear on nfl.com’s live Saints roster as of Friday Sept 25, 2026.
- Practice this week: Not applicable / not reported (Friday Sept 25). Full week: not reported Wed Sept 23 -> not reported Thu Sept 24 -> not reported Fri Sept 25. He is not a member of the team and appears on no New Orleans practice or injury report.
- Injury: Thigh (quadriceps) injury – the injury that had put him on Reserve/Injured and that the injury settlement was written against.
- When it happened: Sustained in the 2026 preseason, leading to the Reserve/Injured placement before the regular season. The injury settlement and waiver followed on Sept 22, 2026.
- Typical recovery for this injury: A quadriceps strain costs an NFL running back 2-4 weeks for a Grade 1-2 and 6-10 weeks for a Grade 3 or a partial tear. An injury settlement is typically negotiated for the number of weeks the club and player agree the injury requires, which is a signal that both sides viewed this as a matter of weeks rather than a season.
- Expected back to full health: Likely healthy enough to sign somewhere in October 2026, once the injury-settlement waiting period (the settlement weeks plus six) elapses. He cannot re-sign with New Orleans during that window.
- Next game: NOT AVAILABLE for the Week 3 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Sept 27, 2026 – he is not on the team. He is a free agent serving out an injury settlement.
- Next four weeks: Weeks 3-6: not on an NFL roster for Week 3 (Sept 27) and almost certainly not for Week 4 (vs Atlanta, Mon Oct 5). He could sign with another club in October 2026 once his settlement period expires, which would put a Week 5-6 debut somewhere else in play. He has no path back to New Orleans this season.
- Who benefits if he sits: His departure leaves Travis Etienne Jr. (RB1), Alvin Kamara (RB2), CJ Donaldson (RB3) and Kendre Miller (RB4) as the active backfield, with Zamir White (DEV) as the only practice-squad running back. CJ Donaldson and Kendre Miller are the marginal beneficiaries of one fewer body in the room.
- Change since Week 2: MAJOR CHANGE since Sept 18. The baseline carried him as RESERVE-INJURED (RES) on the New Orleans roster with a thigh/quadriceps injury. New Orleans waived him from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Sept 22, 2026 – he is no longer a Saint and no longer appears on nfl.com’s live roster. This is a roster correction against the baseline.
Fantasy takeaway: Drop him in every 12-team full-PPR redraft league – he is not on an NFL roster. If he signs somewhere with a thin backfield in October, revisit him as a waiver flier then, but there is nothing to hold for now.
Kyle Juszczyk — SF (Starting fullback)
- Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries no entry at all on San Francisco’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 25, 2026 for the Sept 27 home game vs. Arizona.
- Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point Week 3 (Wed Sept 23 – Fri Sept 25).
- Injury: Finger (unspecified severity)
- When it happened: Mid-September 2026, ahead of the Week 2 game vs. Miami
- Typical recovery for this injury: Finger injuries in football rarely require missed time and typically resolve within 1-2 weeks with taping/protection
- Expected back to full health: Fully healthy
- Next game: No restrictions for Sunday Sept 27 vs. Arizona
- Next four weeks: Fully available Weeks 3-6 as the starting fullback
- Who benefits if he sits: N/A — fully healthy
- Change since Week 2: Changed since Sept 18: last week he still carried a finger entry (Limited practice days, no designation); this week he has dropped off the injury report completely.
Fantasy takeaway: Not fantasy-relevant at the position; no change to San Francisco’s backfield fantasy outlook
Rosters and depth charts for all 32 teams were verified against official league roster pages before this report was compiled, and every player listed was confirmed to be on the roster shown. Designations come from the final official club and league injury reports filed Friday, September 25, 2026. Recovery timelines describe how long a class of injury typically sidelines an NFL player and are not a prediction for any individual.
