Kraken Music Fest is returning to Orlando for its biggest and most exciting year to date. Making a splash at The Orlando Amphitheater in Orlando, FL on Saturday, February 19, 2022, this lineup for the third annual Kraken Fest features a mix of punk rock legends and Florida staples including The Used, Less Than Jake, Story Of The Year, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Evergreen Terrace, We’re Wolves, and The Dev. As Florida’s first independent rock festival, Kraken Fest has quickly become a main event, with last year’s festival seeing thousands of fans in attendance supporting headliner Taking Back Sunday.

“We are insanely excited for Kraken Fest 2022,” says festival founders Freddy Escobar and Marcelo Ferreira. “Orlando has welcomed us with open arms since our first show there, so we are thrilled to be back and continue to grow. We are pumped to have the opportunity to bring The Used back to Florida after the unforeseen cancellation of their Orlando show earlier this year. And of course, we always look for ways to stay true to our roots and ensure Florida bands are well represented and we’ve done just that with two legendary bands – Less Than Jake and Evergreen Terrace. This will be our biggest Kraken Fest yet and we cannot wait!”

Less Than Jake vocalist and guitarist Chris DeMakes says, “Hey Kraken Fest! We are so honored that you invited us to play your festival. Florida’s own We’re Wolves adds, “Words cannot begin to describe our excitement for playing this event. We grew up on all this music. It all heavily influenced our young minds, and it’s crazy to see our name on the same flyer with all these giants.

Tickets for Kraken Music Festival are on sale,  with General Admission tickets starting at $54.95. There will also be two VIP ticketing options with standard VIP starting at $85 and VIP Side Stage starting at $150.

VIP tickets will include General Admission entry, access to a private VIP section with seating next to the stage, a private bar, VIP bathrooms, and expedited entry. The show begins on Thursday, September 23rd with Jose Mangin’s Taco Metal Party, featuring Volbeat and P.O.D. celebrating 20 years of their legendary “Satellite” album.

The 4 day music festival takes place at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, located at 4603 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808.

There have been a few lineup adjustments made along the way, due to the pandemic, but the final lineup is killer and should have something for every rock fan.

The headliners are The Used, Rise Against, Sevendust, Five Finger Death Punch, Legends of Wu-Tang, Papa Roach, Incubus and Machine Gun Kelly.

The Rockstar Energy Drink Disrupt Festival tour hit San Diego’s North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California on July 26, 2019.

The lineup varied per city, with the San Diego stage graced by The Used, Thrice, Circa Survive, Sum 41, Atreyu, Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, Andy Black, Juliet Simms, Meg & Dia, and Hyro The Hero.

Each band played their set on the amphitheater main stage, making for a long day under the warm California sun. In between sets, fans could check out each artist’s merch tent, similar to the old Vans Warped Tour. This was like a mini Warped Tour, but with the ability to see every band’s full set.

Hyro The Hero kicked things off with a high energy performance, definitely one of the best new acts around. Meg & Dia, Juliet Simms and Andy Black kept things hot all afternoon, leaving their dedicated fans quite satisfied.

The intensity level inreased as the heavier bands took over. Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens and Atreyu delivered heavy guitars and aggressive vocals. All 3 bands have a history of dynamic stage shows, which was clearly on display.

As night approached, the production value increased, with smoke and lighting becoming part of the show. The music also took on a more rebellious, punk aspect. Sum 41, Circa Survive, Thrice and The Used created an ambience of excitement as day turned to night. Overall, this was an incredibly diverse and talented lineup, giving great value to all concert goers.

Back To The Beach will feature a carnival midway, beach games, great food (with vegan options), craft beer and cocktails, and more. Families are invited to explore the Lil’ Punk Kid Zone, which will be a fun all-inclusive safe place for kids 10 & under who are accompanied by an adult. The area will feature healthy food options including a fruit cart, and will give kids a place to play and engage while still being part of the festival experience. Under a tented shade zone, new moms will have a clean, private place to breastfeed, as well as hand washing areas and clean bathrooms for families only. The area will offer face painting and beach games, as well as arts and crafts and much more. While kids enjoy the time of their lives, parents can sit and relax while still listening to and seeing the festival on jumbo screens.

A limited number of Weekend General Admission passes will be available for $79.99 (plus fees), while supplies last. VIP ticket package options are also available. For this all-ages family friendly event, kids under 10 get in free when accompanied by an adult with paid admission.
