Welcome To Rockville is officially the biggest rock festival in North America, hosting more than 200,000 people and 150 bands on 5 stages for the first time. This year, Rockville also broke records to become the largest event for festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents. Looking ahead, the May 2025 festival dates at Daytona International Speedway will be announced soon.

The 13^th Welcome To Rockville featured its most powerful collection of artists yet, including headliners Mötley Crüe & Disturbed (Thursday), Limp Bizkit & Jelly Roll (Friday), Foo Fighters & Queens of the Stone Age (Saturday) and Slipknot & Evanescence (Sunday), along with Judas Priest, Greta Van Fleet, Falling In Reverse, A Day To Remember, Breaking Benjamin, Bad Omens, The Offspring, Mudvayne, Koe Wetzel, Stone Temple Pilots, Primus, Cypress Hill, Sum 41, a rare appearance by Mr. Bungle, and many others. Welcome To Rockville brought in fans from around the U.S. and the world for the four-day destination event.

These were some of the highlights and can’t-miss moments during the festival:

    Mötley Crüe had the crowd in a frenzy with a set filled with decades of hits, along with newer tracks like the recently released, “Dogs of War.” (Thursday)

    Disturbed’s powerful show included a surprise cameo by legendary Heart vocalist Ann Wilson for a duet with David Draiman on “Don’t Tell Me,” the song they recorded together for the band’s current album. This marked the first time Wilson joined Disturbed onstage to perform the song. (Thursday)

    After his headlining set on the SiriusXM Octane Drift Stage, Jelly Roll joined Limp Bizkit for the band’s version of The Who’s “Behind Blue Eyes.” As Rolling Stone reported: “…Fred Durst told the crowd repeatedly, ‘I need an angel to come out here and save me. Drop something from the sky. I don’t care what it is, drop anything, please sweet angel. Save your brother Freddy D!’ As summoned, Jelly Roll then appeared onstage with Limp Bizkit to deliver the song’s second verse…” Later in the set, rapper Riff Raff joined Limp Bizkit on stage to perform his track “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz.” The band also brought a couple from the crowd on stage for a live gender reveal.     Falling In Reverse was joined by Tech N9ne and Alex Terrible from Slaughter To Prevail–who both played at the festival earlier that day–for the first-ever live performance of “Ronald (Feat. Tech N9ne And Alex Terrible),” which will appear on Falling In Reverse‘s new album. (Friday)

    Rockville fans saw the second show ever for Kerry King‘s solo band, with a set that included songs from King’s forthcoming album as well as Slayer classics. (Friday)

    Foo Fighters played a 2-hour set packed with hits, including an appearance from Mammoth WVH frontman Wolfgang Van Halen who surprised fans with a few classic Van Halen solos during Foo Fighters’ mid-show medley. (Saturday)

    Queens of the Stone Age closed out the SiriusXM Octane Drift Stage Saturday night with an epic set of fan favorites. (Saturday)

    Slipknot’s mind-blowing festival-closing set celebrated the 25th anniversary of the band’s classic self-titled album and was one of the first shows with the band’s new drummer Eloy Casagrande. (Sunday)

    Evanescence’s Sunday night SiriusXM Octane Drift Stage headlining performance marked the band’s first show in the continental U.S. this year. (Sunday)

    Sum 41 had the crowd singing along throughout their energetic set–one of the final shows ever for the group. Shortly before the band hit the stage, fans had the unique opportunity to catch a glimpse of a SpaceX rocket launch from nearby Cape Canaveral lighting up the sky behind the Vortex Stage. (Sunday)

    The Church of Rock & Roll had surprise karaoke appearances from Rockville artists each day, including John Moyer (Disturbed), Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), John Cooper (Skillet), Ash Costello (New Years Day), Devin Oliver (I See Stars), Tim Montana and more.

    Brand new onsite experiences at Rockville included the BLACKENED Burger Bar with Chef Chris Santos on the festival grounds and Just Add Milk Cereal Bar in the Rockville campground.

    During the festival, the live broadcast on Rockville Radio on SiriusXM’s Chanel 504 included music from bands on this year’s lineup, interviews, streamed sets and more. Fans can re-live the best of Welcome To Rockville on Rockville Radio via the SiriusXM app, available to stream through May 22, 2024.

Featuring signature burgers that embody the spirit of rock and roll, the BLACKENED Burger Bar invites fans to embark on a culinary journey unlike any other. Each Metal Burger Box is accompanied by exclusive surprises and presented in custom packaging designed to be cherished long after the last bite. Just Add Milk Cereal Bar: Starting Thursday morning, Welcome To Rockville campers will be able to mix and match the cereals they grew up on with fresh, ice-cold Florida milk or indulge in a fresh scoop of ice cream while vintage TVs blast out Saturday morning cartoons, making it a pit stop for nostalgia and flavor-packed fun. The activation is located within the festival campgrounds by the General Store and Pit Stop #1. Milk and ice cream will be provided by Florida Dairy Farmers. All proceeds will go to Second Harvest Food Bank, who is also a beneficiary of the post-festival food donations via Musically Fed.

As the music industry looks to bring live events back to eager fans in 2021, leading independent live entertainment producer and promoter Danny Wimmer Presents is excited to announce its upcoming festival calendar for the year.  The event lineup includes the return of fan favorites Louder Than Life and Welcome To Rockville, alongside the previously announced Aftershock, and new to the DWP family, Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival.

Louder Than Life, the largest rock festival in America, will take place September 23-26, 2021 at Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky and will be adding a Thursday night celebration event to kick off the weekend.  All current pass holders will receive admission to the newly added Thursday night kickoff celebration for free.

Welcome To Rockville will return with an expanded 4-day festival weekend that furthers its reputation as Florida’s biggest rock experience, and will move to a new weekend for 2021, November 11-14. Rockville will also have a new home, relocating to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Due to the festival date change from May to November, current Welcome To Rockville ticketholders will have the opportunity to request a refund or use their passes for the upcoming November festival.  All fans who defer their passes to Rockville 2021 will receive complimentary access to the newly added 4^th day.

Danny Wimmer Presents is also pleased to announce a new partnership formed with the creators of the fan-favorite Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival. Inkcarceration is scheduled for July 23-25 at the famous Ohio State Reformatory (aka “Shawshank State Prison” from The Shawshank Redemption) in Mansfield, Ohio.

Information on band lineups, ticket information and on sale dates for Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life and Welcome To Rockville 2021 will be coming this spring.  In addition, Danny Wimmer Presents has partnered with Sixthman to conquer land and sea in 2022 with an immersive 5-day cruise and private island festival in Harvest Caye, Belize, from February 16 – 21, 2022.  More details, including lineup and reservations will be coming in the next few months.

Multiple world record holder Takeru Kobayashi proved himself as the reigning champion, successfully defending his Gringo Bandito Chronic Tacos Eating Championship title yet again on Sunday, despite stiff competition from Molly Schuyler. Kobayashi devoured 157 tacos in 10 minutes – just shy of his 2017 world record-setting total of 159 – to earn his 9^th consecutive championship, edging out Schuyler, who set a personal best, downing 146 tacos. The record was made official, and documented by Corey Henderson, CEO of RecordSetter.com, the new authority for world records.

Sabroso attendees got in on the taco eating action as well, enjoying tacos from a variety of Southern California’s best vendors, including the Sabroso Best Of Show taco from Pink Taco (poached octopus taco with chorizo, potatoes, onion, and peppers) and runners up from Fiesta Gourmet (fried beer battered shrimp taco over a bed of pickled cabbage, topped with two salsas) and Sol Agave (slow-roasted pork belly taco with tomato mint slaw and fresh pineapple). Attendees also had a chance to sample (and top their tacos) with all flavors of  Gringo Bandito – Dexter Holland of The Offspring’s award-winning hot sauce – including the debut of the new Spicy Yellow sauce, the 4th in a lineup that also includes green, red and super hot.

Attendees 21+ complemented their tacos with complimentary samples of over 150 craft beers each day until 4pm, from world-renowned Russian River Brewing to local favorites including Artifex Brewing Company, Burgeon Beer Co., Wild Barrel, and more, to exciting newcomers like The Shop Beer Co. and Papa Marce’s Cerveceria.

The full music lineup for Sabroso at Doheny State Beach included Flogging Molly, Bad Religion, Lagwagon, Strung Out, The Suicide Machines, Adolescents and D.I. on Saturday and The Offspring, Descendents, Black Flag, Face To Face, Plague Vendor, Red City Radio and Orange Blossom Special on Sunday. In addition, fans were entertained throughout the weekend by Lucha Libre style wrestling matches with renowned luchadors including Cesar Gonzalez (Silver King) — widely known for his role as Ramses, the villain wrestling champion in the film Nacho Libre (starring Jack Black) – who returned to Sabroso to reclaim his title as of “King Of The Ring.”

This year will mark the 9th Annual Gringo Bandito Chronic Tacos Challenge, where professional eaters from around the world compete for cash prizes and the highly-coveted title of Chronic Tacos Eating Champion. World-champion competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi, from Nagano, Japan returns to defend his 2018 Gringo Bandito Chronic Tacos Eating Champion title, where he devoured an astonishing 154 tacos in 10 minutes.

Additionally, taco creations from food vendors will compete for the coveted Sabroso “Best Of Show,” awarded by a panel of food judges.

Camp Anarchy: 3 Day Punk Rock Campout — a new camping, craft beer and punk music festival — will take over Legend Valley, just outside Columbus, OH, this spring, on Friday, May 31, Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2. Camp Anarchywill feature performances by The Offspring, Rancid, NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, X, Suicidal Tendencies, Less Than Jake, Fear, and more, along with craft beer tastings (available for purchase), and a slew of attractions including a Dodgeball Arena, Fair Games, Flea’s Market Vendor Village, and much more. This one-of-a-kind destination event is the only punk rock campout in the country, and will host NOFX‘s first US performance in over one year.
