Springboard West Band Bootcamp and Music Festival took place across Ocean Beach in San Diego, California on January 10-12, 2019. An event like no other, Springboard West is three days that change lives and careers! With bands of every genre and style, performing in 5 locations all within walking distance, with the sun setting over the OB Pier, and the best food available, this event has something for everyone.

We bring together the most talented, hard working MUSICIANS from around the country for the OPPORTUNITY to receive mentorship, network and pitch their music to some of the industry’s top executives – creating a monumental IMPACT on their careers and our surrounding community and partners. We hand select 50 of the top emerging artists, out of thousands of applicants, to participate in our one-of-a-kind Springboard Festivals.

Artists receive 2 FULL DAYS of training during our BAND BOOTCAMP – including Panels, Workshops, one-on-one Networking and our “The Moment of Truth” direct pitch sessions to professional music supervisors for film/TV placements.  All of this comes from the generosity and courtesy of some of the music industry’s most influential and powerful people including those involved in launching and guiding superstars like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Guns N’ Roses.

On DAY 3 we close out the festival by partnering with the community to showcase all 50 bands on 5 stages in Ocean Beach for our BAND & BREW CRAWL.  Artists take what they’ve learned and deliver the performance of their careers.  All while attendees go from venue to venue discovering new music, marking off game cards and redeeming them for prizes. The locations are OB Playhouse Theatre, Winston’s, The Harp, Mother’s Saloon, and Te Mana Cafe.

Springboard Festivals helps launch music careers.  We have mentored and featured over 500 artists helping them get over 100 career changing deals, including recording, management and publishing contracts.  Over 30 songs have been placed in films because of the “Moment of Truth” live pitch sessions and countless collaborations have taken place.

All proceeds from Springboard West benefit our non-profit partners; Sustainable Artists, The Autism Tree Project Foundation and Pioneer Programs.
