This year, ShipRocked guests and bands enjoyed 6 days and nights of fun from January 25-31 on board Carnival Horizon from Miami to Half Moon Cay, Celebration Key–Carnival’s newly-opened private cruise port on the island of Grand Bahama–and Nassau in The Bahamas. The Greek mythology-themed ShipRocked 2026 featured more than 30 bands onboard, with a special Halestorm “ShipDocked” show on the ship’s deck stage just before departing Nassau, along with multiple performances from Motionless In White and Knocked Loose, plus Wage War, AWOLNATIONSuicidal TendenciesAvatarStarsetSleep TheoryFrom Ashes To New, Kittie and more.

Some of the highlights and special moments during ShipRocked 2026 included:

  • A Meet & Greet and special “ShipDocked” performance from Halestorm on the ship while in port in Nassau in The Bahamas.
  • Motionless In White performed their version of Rammstein’s “Du Hast” for the first time since 2018.
  • Wage War played a surprise acoustic set in the ship’s Atrium lobby lounge the last night of the trip.
  • Vocalist and founder Aaron Bruno treated fans to multiple sets with his bands AWOLNATION (including a euphoric singalong of “Sail”) and The Barbarians Of California.
  • No mere stage was enough to contain the perpetual motion of Suicidal Tendencies, whose Tuesday afternoon deck set carried the energy of the Half Moon Cay beach party – with Shepherds ReignAurorawave, and a chaotic Beach Wars led by GANG! – into the night.
  • Avatar brought a fitting ShipRocked twist to their trademark theatrical flair, as they emerged in matching bathrobes, drinking rum punches for the coveted “sailaway set” as the Carnival Horizon pulled away from the Port of Miami.
  • Starset live debuted their new song “We Are Empire,” performing in their classic space suits.
  • In addition to their two electric sets, Sleep Theory treated fans to a special unplugged performance at the ShipRocked loyalty party for longtime ShipRockers.
  • The DJ set with J-DogCharlie Scene, and Funny Man of Hollywood Undead turned into an impromptu performance of sorts, with members sometimes singing along with Hollywood Undead tracks.
  • Eric Vanlerberghe (I Prevail) joined Wage War on “Nails.”
  • Ricky Armellino (Ice Nine Kills) took the stage with The Funeral Portrait for “Suffocate City,” singing the parts originally done by Spencer Charnas from Ice Nine Kills.
  • Brandon Saller (Atreyu) joined Aurorawave onstage for “INFERNO” (a song he recorded with the band).
  • Amanda Lyberg (Eva Under Fire) guested with The Funeral Portrait for “Voodoo Doll,” the track she recorded with the band for their Greetings From Suffocate City album.
  • Acclaimed illustrator and cartoonist Jay Howell (Bob’s Burgers, Sanjay And Craig) created unique caricature portraits of guests and band members during the cruise.
  • The Music Experience lounge hosted a guitar clinic with Marcos Curiel of P.O.D.
  • Fans packed the Ocean Plaza lounge for a special one-night-only performance from Kemikalfire, featuring Arejay Hale (Halestorm) and Taylor Carroll.
  • Many ShipRocked guests got up early on Thursday to enjoy a packed “Morning Music” acoustic set with Brandon Yeagley and Chris Bishop from Crobot.
  • The ShipRocked onboard tattoo parlor featured artists from Paradise Tattoo in Florida, and Chris Bishop (Crobot) of Snake Eyes Tattoo in Austin.
  • The Stowaways’ all-star band punctuated ShipRocked‘s “Rock Hard, Vacation Harder” mantra with a “party hardest” Wednesday deck stage set that spanned a half century of good-time hits (including, of course, Andrew W.K.’s “Party Hard” with Chad Nicefield and Leo Moracchioli on vocals). Eric Vanlerberghe (I Prevail) and Amanda Lyberg (Eva Under Fire) got the party started with Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out”; Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley reached back to the ’50s for The Isley Brothers’ “Shout,” joined by Ricky Armellino (Ice Nine Kills) on guitar; Hollywood Undead’s Funny Man and Charlie Scene traded vocals on Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,” with J-Dog on bass; With Dylan Bowman (I Prevail) on guitar and Matt Wantland (10 Years) on bass, Brandon Saller (Atreyu) and Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.) had 3 decks of the Carnival Horizon singing along with Papa Roach’s “Last Resort”; Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Bumblefoot led vocalists Moriah Formica (Plush), Amanda LybergMatt James (Blacktop Mojo) and Leo Moracchioli through a set-closing “Paradise City.”
  • The Weather Gods proved no match for the Rock Gods, as The Stowaways’ Friday night finale “Zeus Medusa” set brought heavy metal thunder to the Horizon‘s intimate Ocean Plaza stage (moved inside from the deck stage) with a set featuring classics from Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, White Zombie, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, and more.

The stellar group of musicians joining The Stowaways in 2026 included Eric Vanlerberghe and Dylan Bowman from I PrevailCharlie Scene, Funny Man and J-Dog from Hollywood Undead, and Ricky Armellino from Ice Nine Kills, along with Al McManus (ASK4 Entertainment), Andy Wood (Andy Wood Trio), Matt Wantland (10 Years), Johnny Hetherington (Art of Dying), Brandon Saller (Atreyu), Doc Coyle (former Bad Wolves), Brandon Ellis (Black Dahlia Murder), Matt James (Blacktop Mojo), Ron “Bumblefoot” ThalChad Nicefield (Chad Nicefield Trio), Kiarely Castillo and Kristen Sturgis (Conquer Divide), Brandon Yeagley (Crobot), Leanne Bowes (Demi Lovato), DiamanteAmanda Lyberg (Eva Under Fire), Tom Hane (former In This Moment), Leo Moracchioli (Frog Leap), Marcos Curiel and Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.), Moriah Formica (Plush), Bobby Amaru (Saliva), Shaun Smith (Shaun Smith Trio), Jackson Foster (Silly Goose), Tavis Stanley (Saint Asonia), Alex Bent (former Trivium) and Joey Varela (VRSTY).

During the 2026 cruise, the annual ShipRocked Cancer Sucks! onboard charity auction raised a record-breaking $200,000, bringing the total amount to more than $1.2 million raised on ShipRocked to date for innovative medical research and finding a cure for cancer.

In addition to nonstop music, photo meet & greets, tropical port visits, wild activities and games, theme nights, an onboard tattoo parlor and more, ShipRocked includes traditional cruise activities with a rock/metal twist, such as ShipRocked Beach Wars, a blackjack tournament, dodgeball tournament, live band karaoke, game shows, singles mixers, trivia contests and heavy metal morning yoga.

A floating music festival, a rock & roll summer camp held in the dead of winter, a family reunion for the growing number of ShipRockers who have forged lifelong relationships out of a shared passion for music (and an occasional bucket of beer) – ShipRocked is the premier rock music cruise vacation, offering dozens of performances and unique collaborations, artist-hosted events and activities, theme nights, and ample opportunity for fans and bands alike to unwind and create new friendships in tropical paradise.

Amy Harris with Consequence.net aptly described ShipRocked, saying it “wasn’t just a party at sea; it was a living, breathing ecosystem of metal, community, and collective release…this isn’t just a music festival on a boat — it’s a full-blown community forged at sea.”

Originally released on June 24, 2014 via Eleven Seven Music, now Better Noise Music, NOTHING MORE “raised the bar for modern hard rock” (Cryptic Rock) with its soaring vocal melodies, meticulous atypical rhythmic structures and huge anthemic choruses. The album debuted at #33 on Billboard’s Top 200 charts while landing at #3 on US Hard Rock Albums, #8 on US Independent Albums, #11 on US Rock Albums, and #19 on US Digital Albums. It included three Top 5 singles—“This Is The Time (Ballast)” (#2), “Here’s To The Heartache” (#4) and “Jenny” (#3)—and the Top 20 single “Mr. MTV” (#12). To date its received 323.9 million global streams and its music videos have amassed over 96.7 million views combined.

The San Antonio, TX-formed band—Jonny Hawkins (vocals), Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Ben Anderson (drums)—released their latest album CARNAL in June via Better Noise Music. Labeled as “a standout” by Blabbermouth, who described the song as “reminiscent of the vibe from ‘Down with the Sickness.’” NOTHING MORE will join Disturbed in February 2025 on the second leg of Disturbed’s “The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour” alongside Daughtry following a headlining appearance on Shiprocked 2025 in January. One of the best things that can happen to a music fan at a festival or rock cruise is to discover the next big thing. Sometimes you have to wake up at the crack of noon, adjust to the ocean waves, and mosey on over to the deck stage to see what all the fuss is about. When the crowd grows as the set progresses, you know you are on to something. On the 2019 ShipRocked cruise, that band was Them Evils.

Them Evils played one intimate show on the lounge stage, which allowed the crowd to get right up in their face, to see that they were the real deal. They also played the deck stage, giving them a chance to roam the stage and perform for the fans on the floor, on the tiered decks, and hanging on the upper deck side railings. That wasn’t enough for a band accustomed to bringing fans on stage with them at clubs. Drummer David Delaney had to keep his seat behind the kit, but lead singer / guitarist Jordan Griffin wandered onto the floor to solo. At the end of the set, bassist Jake Massanari stripped down to his skivvies and made a mad dash to one of the hot tubs, which he promptly cannonballed into. When Jordan called for one last song, Jake had to streak back to the stage and perform the encore dripping wet.

Them Evils set to tour with Pop Evil, appearing on ShipRocked Cruise

Them Evils is:
Jordan Griffin– Guitars/Vocals
Jake Massanari – Bass
David Delaney II – Drums

Southern California based Them Evils are heading back out on tour to kick off the New Year in direct support for Pop Evil.  Along the way they will be setting sail on the ShipRocked Cruise, where two live performances are slated.  The band continues to promote their “Rollin’ Stoned and Livin’ Free” EP as they add the track “Practice What You Preach to their live shows and put the finishing touches on a new song to be released in the late 1st quarter of 2019. The band played more than 100 dates in 2018, including a national tour with stops at Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, and main stage @ Rock On The Range.

Them Evils had a breakout year in 2018 with 1st single and video “Got Me Rockin‘”, which premiered @ Loudwire. Key playlist adds including Spotify, Rock Hard & Riffsplaylists, Alternative Press Discover, and Loudwire Wired WeeklyApple Music Breaking Hard RockPandora New Rock channelGoogle Play Music Rock Hotlist and Hard Rock Hotlist radio, and Slacker radio New Rock Now helped the band gain momentum.  Press looks have included Kerrang, LoudwireAXS, Rock Revolt, Alternative Addiction and others that added to the bands critical acclaim.

Them Evils’ late-night joyride through Rock N’ Roll’s seedy underbelly was born in the shadows of neon vice and nocturnal living in Las Vegas, when Jordan and Jake met in High School.  They started writing and playing together and knew that they had a chemistry that was undeniable. In 2013 they made the move to Southern California to pursue their music professionally – with nothing to fall back on other than their drive and belief in their music and each other. They connected with David through a friend that worked at a bar with Jordan and who knew they were looking for a permanent drummer. Delaney auditioned for Griffin and Massanari, and all 3 knew it was a good fit immediately. The nasty energy befitting their name grew from there.

Inspired by equal parts of rock giants like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Queens of The Stone Age, among others, the band pays tribute to their roots while carving out their own unique sound.  Them Evils music is at times throwback without being too derivative and is thoroughly modern. “We pretty much made our own scene,” Griffin says. “We started out doing straight up rock and roll, and that’s what we’re still doing… That said, we’re always evolving.”

The band has previously released Two EPs: their debut Cold Black Love (2015) and the self-titled Them Evils (2016). They made inroads @ Active Rock Radio in 2017 with “She Got Nothin“, which peaked @ #22 on the BDS Rock Indicator chart.

They were born for the stage and have been road warriors for the past 4 years – the band have caught the ear of no less an icon than Zakk Wylde, who had them open for Zakk Sabbath in 2017.  They regularly do Club tours, as well as touring with The Pretty Reckless, Alter Bridge, Red Sun Rising, and 10 Years, among others. The band plans to continue touring, with breaks to finish recording additional new music to be released in the latter part of 2019.
