Louisville, KY – It’s about to get LOUD in Louisville as the long-running, fan favorite festival Louder Than Life returns for its 10th year in 2024! Producers Danny Wimmer Presents – one of the largest independent promoters in the U.S. – pulled out all the stops to celebrate a decade of Louder Than Life, North America’s Largest Rock Festival, including the mighty return of thrash gods Slayer to the stage. In addition to their headlining performance, Loudmouths can also look forward to metal heavyweights Mötley Crüe, Slipknot and Korn closing out additional nights of the four-day event, which returns to its home at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY September 26, 27, 28 & 29, 2024.

Louder Than Life Celebrates 10 Years With The Mighty Return Of Slayer, Mötley Crüe, Slipknot & Korn first appeared on Game On Media.

The 5th annual Blue Ridge Rock Festival took place in Alton, Virginia on September 8 – 11, 2022. Day 4 felt like a time warp, transporting us back 2 decades with a lineup that could have been the concert of the year in 2002.

Disturbed capped off a day where the sun came out to stay (kudos to Elias Soriano of Nonpoint for leading the crowd in a rain banishing chant, which actually worked!) and the rap-rock sounds of the turn of the century dominated.

Hoobastank was outstanding. Lead singer Doug Robb teased the crowd about whether or not to play their mega-hit ballad “The Reason” at such a heavy festival. He demanded mosh pits and crowd surfing, which made for a hilarious juxtaposition as the entire venue sang along to the slow moving love song.

Saliva brought original vocalist Josey Scott out to play the last 3 songs, which was a treat for the crowd, but unfortunately not captured by the photographers, who typically only shoot the first 3 songs.

Lacey Sturm, Seether, Hollywood Undead, Lamb Of God, Killswitch Engage, New Found Glory, (Hed) P.E., Twiztid and The Devil Wears Prada showed their staying power and kept the nostalgic vibe going, even as the weary crowd streamed out throughout the day.

Those who stayed to the bitter end were treated to incredible sets from 3 Doors Down and Disturbed. Both bands marked the anniversary of 9/11 by dedicating songs to everyone lost that day, as well as all those who continue to put themselves in harm’s way – firefighters, police, doctors, nurses and EMT’s.

Tickets and campsites are already selling well for next year, proving that die hard metal fans will endure anything to experience the power of live music, and the feeling of connecting with other people who are just as mental about metal as they are. Welcome To Rockville campers get the ultimate experience, spending five days on the festival field right in the middle of all the action and with the quickest access to all the stages. Amenities include indoor restrooms and showers, in and out privileges, and a general store for supplies. A limited number of Weekend Camping Packages are available for both car and tent and RVs. Admission to the festival is not included in Weekend Camping Packages and must be purchased separately.

Welcome To Rockville VIP pass holders will receive a commemorative VIP laminate and wristband, dedicated entrance lanes into the festival, entrance into VIP areas, and access to dedicated viewing areas throughout the festival. As the music industry looks to bring live events back to eager fans in 2021, leading independent live entertainment producer and promoter Danny Wimmer Presents is excited to announce its upcoming festival calendar for the year.  The event lineup includes the return of fan favorites Louder Than Life and Welcome To Rockville, alongside the previously announced Aftershock, and new to the DWP family, Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival.

Louder Than Life, the largest rock festival in America, will take place September 23-26, 2021 at Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky and will be adding a Thursday night celebration event to kick off the weekend.  All current pass holders will receive admission to the newly added Thursday night kickoff celebration for free.

Welcome To Rockville will return with an expanded 4-day festival weekend that furthers its reputation as Florida’s biggest rock experience, and will move to a new weekend for 2021, November 11-14. Rockville will also have a new home, relocating to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Due to the festival date change from May to November, current Welcome To Rockville ticketholders will have the opportunity to request a refund or use their passes for the upcoming November festival.  All fans who defer their passes to Rockville 2021 will receive complimentary access to the newly added 4^th day.

Danny Wimmer Presents is also pleased to announce a new partnership formed with the creators of the fan-favorite Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival. Inkcarceration is scheduled for July 23-25 at the famous Ohio State Reformatory (aka “Shawshank State Prison” from The Shawshank Redemption) in Mansfield, Ohio.

Information on band lineups, ticket information and on sale dates for Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life and Welcome To Rockville 2021 will be coming this spring.  In addition, Danny Wimmer Presents has partnered with Sixthman to conquer land and sea in 2022 with an immersive 5-day cruise and private island festival in Harvest Caye, Belize, from February 16 – 21, 2022.  More details, including lineup and reservations will be coming in the next few months.

In April, INKCARCERATION Music and Tattoo Festival was awarded Mansfield, Ohio’s prestigious Tourism Award of Excellence, and has been recognized by the United States House of Representatives, Ohio Senate, State of Ohio Representatives and Congressional Proclamation.

Shaun Morgan, founder and frontman of the multi-platinum selling rock band Seether, founded Rise Above in 2012 in honor of his brother who died by suicide. The Rise Above Festival which ran for 5 years in Bangor, ME was the largest suicide prevention event in the world. Morgan was honored in 2016 with the “Artistic Expression” Award from the National Council for Behavioral Health at the Awards of Excellence in Las Vegas.
