The full music lineup has been announced for Blue Ridge Rock Festival–America’s Largest Rock & Camping Festival–which takes place September 7-10, 2023 at VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, VA. Newly announced artists include: Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Staind, Danzig (performing his self-titled album in full), I Prevail, Flo Rida, Lorna Shore, Knocked Loose, Polyphia, Insane Clown Posse, Vanilla Ice, Project Pat and more.

Blue Ridge Rock Festival features performances from more than 150 music artists including Slipknot, Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, Evanescence, Limp Bizkit, Till Lindemann: The Voice of Rammstein (exclusive U.S. performance), Staind, Megadeth, Papa Roach, Danzig, Rise Against, Lamb of God, Three Days Grace, Pierce The Veil, Chevelle, Coheed & Cambria and many more.

The festival also hosts a one-of-a-kind Club Experience Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM, after the Main Festival with performances from some of the biggest and best ‘90s/2000s hip hop/rap legends, including Flo Rida, 2 Chainz, Three 6 Mafia, Soulja Boy, Vanilla Ice, Insane Clown Posse and Project Pat. The Club Experience is only available to three or four day festival campers and is an additional pass purchase.

The festival has seen record-breaking sales so far, with 4-Day Rockstar passes and Artist Meet & Greet Passes already SOLD OUT (wait list available). Premium tent camping, TV camping and glamping sites are also SOLD OUT, but a wait list is available. Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 Announces First 100 Artists Including Pantera, Shinedown, Limp Bizkit, Evanescence first appeared on Game On Media.

Queensrÿche kicked off their 2023 Digital Noise Alliance Tour in Orlando, Florida on March 3, 2023 at The Plaza Live. Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Todd La Torre, Mike Stone and Casey Grillo are on top of their songwriting and performance games. Seeing them live is still as incredible and inspiring as it has ever been. Their stage banners resembled stained glass windows, featuring their best albums – “Queensrÿche”, “The Warning”, “Rage For Order”, “Operation:Mindcrime”, “Empire”, “Promised Land”, “The Verdict”, and “Digital Noise Alliance”.

Guitarist Marty Friedman and his band were direct support, with Bay Area thrashers Trauma opening the show. Fans of the guitar were in heaven, with a full night of wizardry on display. Trauma got things heated up with their early-80’s thrashers, setting things up for a heavy evening. Marty Friedman was up next to electrify the crowd. The ex-Megadeth guitarist has been living in Japan for 20 years and his band of Japanese musicians is talented and entertaining. Their instrumental metal is beautiful and heavy.

Queensrÿche opened for Judas Priest last fall, and their set list then was full of classic hits, which was the right choice for that kind of tour. Now that they are headlining in support of their outstanding new album, “Digital Noise Alliance”, the song choices are vastly different. Spoiler Alert: Full set list below photo album.

The new album is the best album of the Todd La Torre era, and the most impressive work from the band since “Promised Land”. Check out where it landed on our Five Fave: 2022 Classic Rock Albums. Five new songs were played this night, and they all sounded incredible. “Forest” in particular stood out, especially after La Torre explained that it was dedicated to anyone who had lost a parent.

“Empire” and “Operation:Mindcrime” were also featured, and tracks from those all-time classics always bring the loudest singing from the crowd. But the greatest gift of all was the steady supply of bangers from the first full-length album, “The Warning”. The 18 song set ended majestically with the 10 minute epic “Roads To Madness”. It was a glorious end to a tremendous night of hard rock magic.

Megadeth Return With “The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!” first appeared on Game On Media.

After getting its start with 2 events in Concord, Virginia, followed up by the Covid-delayed logistical nightmare of last year’s massive 4 day event in Danville, Virginia, the Blue Ridge Rock Festival is finally getting a new home which promises to deliver on its promise as America’s premier fan-driven rock and roll experience.

This year’s event will take place over the extended weekend of September 8 – September 11, 2022. The venue hosting this event is the world-class road racing track Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia. Fans who endured the troubles of the past in order to witness the greatest collection of live rock and roll, and are ready to come back for more, will be rewarded with a location that is set up for large crowds, camping and entertainment.

Despite all of the issues last fall, the musical performances and production were top notch. The festival took on a partner, changed to a better venue and continues to ask fans to help choose the artists who will perform at the 2022 edition.

Welcome To Rockville will feature more than 75 music acts over four days, with performances on four stages, along with award-winning spirits, craft beer, partner activations and the best food Daytona Beach has to offer.

Single day and weekend general admission and VIP passes for Welcome To Rockville are on sale now. Festivalgoers are encouraged to buy early and save as pass prices increase in throughout the coming months based on level quantities.  A limited number of specially priced tickets for military personnel are on sale now via GovX.

Welcome To Rockville campers get the ultimate experience, spending five days on the festival field right in the middle of all the action and with the quickest access to all the stages. Amenities include indoor restrooms and showers, in and out privileges, and a general store for supplies. A limited number of Weekend Camping Packages are available for both car and tent and RVs. Admission to the festival is not included in Weekend Camping Packages and must be purchased separately.

Welcome To Rockville VIP pass holders will receive a commemorative VIP laminate and wristband, dedicated entrance lanes into the festival, entrance into VIP areas, and access to dedicated viewing areas throughout the festival. Megadeth brought the “Metal Tour of the Year” to the 2021 Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Danville, Virginia on September 11, 2021. Megadeth closed out the staylit stage. Hatebreed, Trivium and Lamb Of God had the most intense crowds, surfers and mosh pits of the entire 4 day festival, over on the URW Community Federal Credit Union stage. These shows were the high points of the hot and sweaty day 3 of this cathartic shared rock experience.

Megadeth is working on a new album and featured songs from their previous stellar release “Dystopia”. Dave Mustaine can still bring it, despite numerous recent health issues, so catch this show while you still can.

The inaugural Megadeth’s MegaCruise set sail from Los Angeles, California to San Diego and Mexico in October 2019. One of the top bands performing was thrash legends Anthrax. Anthrax has continued to record and release outstanding music, and they blend it perfectly with their classic anthems.

Vocalist Joey Belladonna is still one of the top front men you can find anywhere, with a soaring range, and the ability to make a connection with every single fan in attendance. Riff master Scott Ian stomps and smirks his way through melodies that live in your soul.

Drummer Charlie Benante watches the beat with perfect timing, which is not easy in the thrash genre. Bassist and backup screamer Frank Bello is a ball of energy that is unleashed upon every stage he touches. Lead guitarist Jonathan Donais crushes solos, whether they are his own from the recent albums, or the classics that we all know by heart.

The Metal Hall of Fame has announced that the 2020 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Celebrity Charity Gala will be filmed live and will air on Amazon Prime. Hard rock and heavy metal fans in attendance will be featured in the filming, which will take place on January 15 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, CA. The world premiere of the film will air in early 2020, reaching more than 100 million subscribers. Metal Hall of Fame President/CEO Pat Gesualdo says, “Having the World Premier for the 2020 Metal Hall of Fame Gala on Amazon Prime is a great honor. MESSAGE FROM DAVE MUSTAINE

I’ve been diagnosed with throat cancer. It’s clearly something to be respected and faced head on – but I’ve faced obstacles before. I’m working closely with my doctors, and we’ve mapped out a treatment plan which they feel has a 90% success rate. Treatment has already begun.

Unfortunately, this requires that we cancel most shows this year. The 2019 Megacruise will happen, and the band will be a part of it in some form. All up to date information will be at megadeth.com as we get it. Megadeth will be back on the road ASAP.

Meanwhile, Kiko, David, Dirk and I are in the studio, working on the follow up to Dystopia – which I can’t wait for everyone to hear.

EXIT 111 Festival will debut with a heavyweight line-up that celebrates all forms of rock–from hard to classic, alternative to southern–when it debuts October 11-13 at the Great Stage Park in Manchester, TN. The inaugural three-day event hosted by Eddie Trunk will be led by headlining slots from Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a mix of platinum-selling artists including Slayer (in the last Tennessee show of their career), ZZ Top, Deftones, Ghost, Megadeth and more than 40 acts (full line-up below). Produced by C3 Presents and AC Entertainment, the massive footprint of the festival site–known to millions as the home of the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival–will be transformed into a rock and roll playground with the all-star line-up appearing on three stages with 12 hours of music daily, camping and a variety of activities tailored specifically to concert-goers. New album ‘A Rock Supreme’ due April 26; U.S. tour wraps up in Seattle

(Las Vegas, Nevada) – As they finish their first U.S. tour in five years in Seattle, the Canadian hard rock trio DANKO JONES has unveiled the Amir Chamdin-directed music video for their latest single, “Dance Dance Dance.” The clip can be seen HERE.

Chamdin, an award-winning Swedish filmmaker who has previously helmed videos for the likes of Ghost and The Hellacopters, shot “Dance Dance Dance” last month in Stockholm and created something truly unique by combining two vastly different art forms – DANKO JONES’ signature style of fist-pumping rock with an incredible single-take dancehall-inspired clip.

As longtime fans of his work, the members of DANKO JONES were excited to collaborate with Chamdin and gave him free reign to bring his vision of their song to life. Says front man Danko Jones, “We are excited to finally have Amir Chamdin directing the video for our new single, ‘Dance Dance Dance.’ We’ve been a huge fan of Amir’s work for years now, and waiting to work with him was all worth it.”
