Bottom Line Up Front at Tight End

Tight end got its one piece of good news in weeks: Brock Bowers practiced his way from Out to Doubtful, which is not availability but is a direction. Everything else at the position moved the wrong way, and the position’s depth problem is now a full-blown shortage.

Of the 50 tight ends on this board, 23 are out or doubtful, none carries a Questionable tag that decides itself on gameday, and 27 were listed at some point this week but finished it with no designation at all.

Below is every fantasy-relevant tight end across all 32 teams carrying an injury or an absence, with the final designation, what the injury actually is, how long that class of injury normally takes to heal, where each player sits on his team’s depth chart, and who stands to gain if he can’t go.

Who is on this report?

Chigoziem Okonkwo (WAS), Tip Reiman (ARI), Jake Tonges (SF), Joe Royer (CLE), Will Mallory (IND), Eli Stowers (PHI), Caleb Lohner (DEN), John Michael Gyllenborg (KC), Carter Runyon (LV), Jameson Geers (ARI), DJ Rogers (DAL), Princeton Fant (DAL), Luke Musgrave (GB), Carson Towt (IND), Justin Shorter (LV), Cole Turner (MIA), Ben Yurosek (MIN), Julian Hill (NE), Moliki Matavao (NO), Grant Calcaterra (PHI), Robbie Ouzts (SEA), Jaren Kanak (TEN), Brock Bowers (LV), Trey McBride (ARI), Sam LaPorta (DET), Tucker Kraft (GB), Dalton Schultz (HOU), Tyler Warren (IND), Greg Dulcich (MIA), Juwan Johnson (NO), AJ Barner (SEA), George Kittle (SF), Adam Trautman (DEN), Tyler Higbee (LAR), Will Kacmarek (MIA), Theo Johnson (NYG), Kenyon Sadiq (NYJ), Darnell Washington (PIT), John Bates (WAS), Darren Waller (CAR), Erick All Jr. (CIN), Luke Schoonmaker (DAL), Josh Whyle (GB), Andrew Ogletree (IND), Seydou Traore (MIA), Oscar Delp (NO), Ben Sinnott (WAS), Davis Allen (LAR), Brevin Jordan (HOU), Ben Sims (MIA)

What changed since Week 1

This is the first full week of in-season attrition — injuries from actual games rather than camp and preseason, plus the roster moves that follow them. Across the 50 tight ends here: 7 are new to the report, 10 improved or cleared outright, 3 got worse, and 30 are carrying the same status they had a week ago. The pattern worth internalizing: the Week 1 designations that resolved upward mostly stayed resolved, and the new names on this list came off the field on Sunday, not out of the training room.

Waiver wire: who gains if these names sit

  • If Chigoziem Okonkwo (WAS) can’t go — John Bates (TE2) and Ben Sinnott (TE3) split the vacated snaps, with Bates handling the in-line blocking role and Sinnott the move/receiving work; Colson Yankoff (TE4) is the emergency body and Jack Westover is on the practice squad. Neither Bates nor Sinnott is a compelling replacement — the realistic beneficiaries are the wide receivers, with Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs absorbing the redistributed targets.
  • If Tip Reiman (ARI) can’t go — Hunter Long is the current TE2 and Elijah Higgins the TE3 behind Trey McBride. Teagan Quitoriano and Shawn Bowman are on the practice squad.
  • If Jake Tonges (SF) can’t go — Luke Farrell is now the unambiguous TE2 behind George Kittle and takes the blocking and in-line snaps. Brayden Willis is the TE3 on the active roster. San Francisco signed veteran Jack Stoll to the practice squad on Sept 16 as the insurance body, with Khalil Dinkins also on the practice squad. Realistically the target-share beneficiary is Kittle, whose route share goes up in 12-personnel-lite sets.
  • If Joe Royer (CLE) can’t go — Harold Fannin Jr. (TE1) is the starter and is entirely unaffected. Blake Whiteheart (TE2) and Carsen Ryan (TE3) hold the depth roles Royer would otherwise be competing for, with Messiah Swinson (DEV) on the practice squad.
  • If Eli Stowers (PHI) can’t go — Johnny Mundt (TE2) and E.J. Jenkins (TE3) are the active tight ends behind Dallas Goedert; Josiah Deguara is the practice-squad option. With Grant Calcaterra also on reserve, Philadelphia is down to three healthy tight ends and Goedert’s snap share is effectively maximized.
  • If Jameson Geers (ARI) can’t go — Hunter Long (TE2) and Elijah Higgins (TE3) are the tight ends behind Trey McBride; Teagan Quitoriano and Shawn Bowman are on the practice squad.
  • If Princeton Fant (DAL) can’t go — His snaps are already absorbed by the active group: Jake Ferguson (TE1), Brevyn Spann-Ford (TE2) and Luke Schoonmaker (TE3), with James Mitchell and Michael Trigg available as practice-squad elevations.
  • If Luke Musgrave (GB) can’t go — Tucker Kraft (TE1, ACT #85) is the unquestioned starter and was healthy and productive in Week 1 (45 snaps, 3 catches, 65 yards). Jonnu Smith (TE2, ACT #18) is the clear second option and produced in Week 1 as well (32 snaps, 2 catches, 50 yards). Josh Whyle (TE3, ACT #81) and Mark Redman (TE4, ACT #86) are the depth. Nobody’s role changes because of Musgrave’s absence — it has been baked in since August.
  • If Carson Towt (IND) can’t go — Mo Alie-Cox handles the blocking tight end work behind Tyler Warren, with Andrew Ogletree as TE3.
  • If Cole Turner (MIA) can’t go — His snaps were absorbed before the season began. Greg Dulcich (ACT, TE1), Will Kacmarek (ACT, TE2), Seydou Traore (ACT, TE3) and Justin Joly (ACT, TE4) constitute the entire active room, with Tre Watson (DEV) on the practice squad. Nobody gains anything new from his continued absence.
  • If Ben Yurosek (MIN) can’t go — T.J. Hockenson (TE1, ACT #87) is the entrenched starter and is completely unaffected. Josh Oliver (TE2, ACT #84) handles the blocking and complementary role and should see a modest snap bump in Week 2 with Jauan Jennings out and more two-tight-end sets likely. Gavin Bartholomew (TE3, ACT #86) is the depth. Cam Grandy (DEV) is the practice-squad option.
  • If Julian Hill (NE) can’t go — Already absorbed. Hunter Henry (ACT, TE1) handles the receiving role, with Eli Raridon (ACT, TE2), Tanner Arkin (ACT, TE3) and Cameron Latu (ACT, TE4) behind him. Note that Shane Zylstra, listed as a practice-squad TE on the Sept 12 baseline, now shows as CUT on the nfl.com roster, so New England’s tight end depth behind Henry is thinner than it was a week ago.
  • If Moliki Matavao (NO) can’t go — Juwan Johnson (TE1), Noah Fant (TE2), Oscar Delp (TE3) and Treyton Welch (TE4) make up the active tight end room, with Stone Smartt on the practice squad.
  • If Grant Calcaterra (PHI) can’t go — Dallas Goedert (TE1) absorbs the bulk of his snaps, with Johnny Mundt (TE2) and E.J. Jenkins (TE3) handling the rest and Josiah Deguara on the practice squad.
  • If Robbie Ouzts (SEA) can’t go — Brady Russell handles the fullback snaps; AJ Barner, Eric Saubert, Elijah Arroyo and Nick Kallerup are the active tight ends.
  • If Jaren Kanak (TEN) can’t go — Already absorbed: Gunnar Helm is the every-down TE1, with Daniel Bellinger, David Martin-Robinson and Kylen Granson rotating behind him. Practice-squad TE Joel Wilson is the emergency elevation.
  • If Brock Bowers (LV) can’t go — Michael Mayer (TE2) is the direct beneficiary and has already been the de facto starter — he drew 6 catches for 32 yards in Week 1, an inefficient line that says the volume is real but the efficiency is not. Ian Thomas (TE3) picks up the blocking snaps. Secondary beneficiaries in the target vacuum: Tre Tucker (WR1) on downfield routes, Jack Bech (slot WR) on the underneath work Bowers usually eats, and Ashton Jeanty (RB1) on checkdowns. Las Vegas re-signed Mayer to a three-year extension through 2029 on Sept 12, 2026, which confirms the club sees him as the long-term TE2/co-starter.

How to read this report

These are final designations, not midweek practice notes, so they mean what they say. A few timing wrinkles apply this week:

  • Buffalo and Detroit have already played. The Bills beat the Lions 41-31 on Thursday night, September 17. For those two clubs Week 2 is settled — what matters is who got hurt in the game and what it means from Week 3 on.
  • The Rams host the Giants on Monday night, September 21, so Los Angeles does not file its final game-status report until Saturday. Any Rams player listed here is Friday practice participation with the final designation still to come.
  • A player listed with no designation is good news. Several names below appear on an official report with a blank game-status column — that is a club formally declining to tag them, which is stronger than never having been listed at all.

Reserve-list designations — injured reserve, PUP, the Commissioner’s Exempt List, suspension — are roster transactions and are settled regardless of the day. A player placed on in-season injured reserve must miss a minimum of four games.

Ruled out or unavailable (22)

Officially ruled out, or on a reserve list. Plan around these.

Chigoziem Okonkwo — WAS (TE1 — the starting receiving tight end and a $27 million free-agent addition, first on the Ourlads chart ahead of John Bates and Ben Sinnott.)

  • Status: OUT — (a) a FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Washington on the Sept 18, 2026 official report for the Sept 20 game vs the Dallas Cowboys. Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed it directly: ‘Commanders TE Chig Okonkwo and LB Frankie Luvu won’t play against the Cowboys on Sunday.’
  • Practice this week: Did Not Participate (Friday Sept 18). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 16 -> DNP Thu Sept 17 -> DNP Fri Sept 18. Three straight non-participations, which is why the Out tag was never in doubt.
  • Injury: Hamstring strain.
  • When it happened: Late in the third quarter of Washington’s Week 1 game at Philadelphia on Sunday, Sept 13, 2026 — a 24-22 Commanders loss. He left the game and did not return, finishing with two catches on three targets for 16 yards in his Washington debut.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Grade 1 hamstring strain: roughly 1-2 weeks missed. Grade 2: roughly 3-6 weeks. Grade 3 with retraction: 8-12+ weeks and often surgical. A player who cannot practice at all in the week following the injury has almost certainly sustained at least a Grade 1-plus and more likely a low Grade 2. Washington has notably NOT placed him on injured reserve, which caps the expected absence below four games and points away from the severe end.
  • Expected back to full health: Realistic full health in early-to-mid October 2026 — roughly Weeks 4-5. A Week 3 return is possible if the strain is Grade 1 and he practices in a limited capacity next Wednesday, but hamstrings in receiving tight ends are notorious for re-injury when rushed, and the three straight DNPs argue for patience.
  • Next game: OUT — he will NOT play in Week 2 on Sunday Sept 20, 2026 vs the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET, FOX). This is a confirmed ruling, not a projection.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Week 2 (vs DAL, Sept 20). Week 3 is genuinely in doubt and should be treated as a coin flip pending Wednesday’s practice report. Weeks 4 and 5 are the likelier return window. Because he is not on IR, he is eligible to return at any point — watch the Wednesday participation report each week as the leading indicator.
  • Who benefits if he sits: John Bates (TE2) and Ben Sinnott (TE3) split the vacated snaps, with Bates handling the in-line blocking role and Sinnott the move/receiving work; Colson Yankoff (TE4) is the emergency body and Jack Westover is on the practice squad. Neither Bates nor Sinnott is a compelling replacement — the realistic beneficiaries are the wide receivers, with Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs absorbing the redistributed targets.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THIS REPORT and the most significant new injury in the division. He was NOT on the Sept 12 baseline injury list at all. He was hurt in the Week 1 game at Philadelphia on Sept 13, did not practice all week, and has been formally ruled OUT for Week 2.

Fantasy takeaway: Bench him and do not stream either replacement. In 12-team full-PPR, Okonkwo is a hold — he is not on IR and should be back within a few weeks, so do not drop a $27M starting tight end for a one-week fill. If you need a Week 2 tight end, look outside Washington entirely; Bates and Sinnott are not worth a lineup slot. The real actionable play is a small bump for Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs, who should see the tight end’s vacated targets against a Dallas defense that just lost safety Malik Hooker for this game.

Tip Reiman — ARI (Not on the active depth chart — would be the TE2/blocking tight end behind Trey McBride when activated)

  • Status: PUP — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as PUP (active/Physically Unable to Perform) on the official nfl.com Cardinals roster as of Sept 18, 2026, confirmed at the 53-man cutdown. By rule he must miss the first four games and is first eligible in Week 5.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — a player on active/PUP is barred from practicing with the team until his 21-day activation window is opened. He has not practiced. Week of Sept 16-18: no participation of any kind.
  • Injury: Lower-body injury carried from training camp. Arizona has not disclosed the specific injury.
  • When it happened: Training camp, August 2026. He was placed on active/PUP at the 53-man roster cutdown in late August.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not quantifiable without a named injury. The binding constraint is procedural: active/PUP requires a four-game minimum absence regardless of medical readiness.
  • Expected back to full health: First eligible Week 5, approximately Oct 11-18, 2026. Watch for Arizona opening his 21-day practice window during Week 4 as the signal.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY and is INELIGIBLE. He cannot be activated for Sunday, Sept 20, 2026 vs. the Seattle Seahawks or for any game before Week 5.
  • Next four weeks: Ineligible for Weeks 2, 3 and 4 by rule. Week 5 is his first eligible game. Even on return he is a blocking tight end behind an elite every-down TE1 in Trey McBride, so his return changes nothing for fantasy.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Hunter Long is the current TE2 and Elijah Higgins the TE3 behind Trey McBride. Teagan Quitoriano and Shawn Bowman are on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still on active/PUP per the official roster, still ineligible until Week 5.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full-PPR in any scenario. He is a blocking tight end who cannot play until Week 5 and who sits behind one of the highest-usage tight ends in the league. Ignore entirely.

Jake Tonges — SF (Was the TE2 behind George Kittle — now off the active depth chart entirely)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Officially placed on Injured Reserve by San Francisco on Sept 16, 2026 and now carried as RES on the official nfl.com 49ers roster. The season is over for him, so the reserve-list status outranks the game-status report, on which he no longer appears.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — he is on injured reserve and ineligible to practice with the team. He has not practiced since the injury and is headed for surgery. Week of Sept 16-18: no participation of any kind.
  • Injury: MCL tear in the right knee, requiring surgery. Kyle Shanahan’s initial read in Melbourne was ‘It’s not an ACL, it’s MCL’ — the follow-up confirmed the damage was severe enough to need an operation and end his season.
  • When it happened: Thursday, Sept 10, 2026 — late in the second quarter of the Week 1 game vs. the Rams in Melbourne. He had played only eight snaps. He needed help off the field and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: An isolated Grade 3 MCL tear requiring surgical repair generally runs 4-6 months to return to sport; combined ligament involvement pushes that to 8-12 months. Either way it is a season-ender at a Week 1 injury date, which is exactly how the 49ers have treated it.
  • Expected back to full health: Not in 2026. Target full health for the 2027 offseason — roughly February to April 2027, comfortably before 2027 training camp.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY and will not play again this season. He is on IR without a designation to return and is ineligible for the Sept 20, 2026 home game vs. Miami and every game thereafter in 2026.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2, 3, 4, 5 and the rest of the 2026 season. No path back.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Luke Farrell is now the unambiguous TE2 behind George Kittle and takes the blocking and in-line snaps.
  • Change since Week 1: CONFIRMED AND WORSENED. On Sept 12 this was an unconfirmed MCL sprain with Shanahan’s ‘it’s not an ACL’ quote as the only real information. Since then: surgery confirmed, the season declared over on Sept 16, and he was formally placed on Injured Reserve the same day (nfl.com status moved from ACT to RES).

Fantasy takeaway: Drop everywhere, including deep leagues — season over. The actionable read is on Kittle: with Tonges gone and Stribling out, Kittle’s target floor firms up meaningfully, and he is a clear top-5 TE start vs. Miami. Luke Farrell is not a fantasy asset; do not chase the ‘TE2 on a good offense’ angle here, he is a blocker.

Joe Royer — CLE (Was competing for the TE3/TE4 depth role; currently off the active depth chart while on the reserve/NFI list)

  • Status: PUP — (c) official reserve-list status. Precisely, he is on Reserve/Non-Football Injury-Illness (NFI), designated to return, carrying status code RSN on the nfl.com Browns roster as of Sept 18, 2026. This is the non-football analogue of the PUP list and functions the same way: he is barred from practicing or playing until his activation window is opened, which outranks any other consideration.
  • Practice this week: Not reported — ineligible to practice while on the reserve/NFI list. No Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18 entry exists on the participation report.
  • Injury: Non-football injury or illness, unspecified. Cleveland did not disclose the nature of the condition.
  • When it happened: Late August 2026. He was placed on the reserve/NFI list on approximately Aug 30, 2026 alongside the Dillon Gabriel IR move when the Browns set their initial 53-man roster, meaning the condition arose away from team football activity during the summer.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not assessable — the condition was never disclosed and NFI covers everything from illness to injuries sustained outside team activities. The binding constraint is procedural rather than medical: a reserve/NFI placement before the season with a return designation requires the player to miss the first four regular-season games.
  • Expected back to full health: Indeterminate, but no earlier than October 2026. He becomes eligible in Week 5 and his practice window can open before that. Without any disclosure from the club, any calendar estimate beyond the rule-based Week 5 eligibility date would be a guess.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is on reserve/NFI and ineligible to be activated. He is also ineligible for Weeks 3 and 4.
  • Next four weeks: Out Weeks 2, 3 and 4 by rule, with Week 5 the first game of eligibility. Even if activated, he would return as the TE3 or TE4 behind an established starter. No fantasy relevance should be expected across Weeks 2-5.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Harold Fannin Jr. (TE1) is the starter and is entirely unaffected. Blake Whiteheart (TE2) and Carsen Ryan (TE3) hold the depth roles Royer would otherwise be competing for, with Messiah Swinson (DEV) on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. He remains on Reserve/Non-Football Injury-Illness with a return designation, status code RSN, with no practice window opened and no disclosure from the club.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any 12-team full PPR format. Do not roster or stash. Harold Fannin Jr. is the only Cleveland tight end who matters for fantasy, and Royer’s absence does not move his outlook at all.

Will Mallory — IND (Not on the active depth chart — on Reserve/Injured with a return designation. When healthy he is the TE3/move tight end behind Tyler Warren and Mo Alie-Cox.)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried on nfl.com as status code RSR (designated to return) and as ‘IR^’ on Ourlads. This is a roster-list status and outranks any practice-report consideration; he cannot play Week 2.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable (Friday Sept 18). Full week: not reported Wed/Thu/Fri — he is ineligible to practice until Indianapolis opens his 21-day return-to-practice window, which has not happened.
  • Injury: Thumb
  • When it happened: Suffered in the 2026 preseason; he was placed on Reserve/Injured with a return designation when Indianapolis set the initial 53-man roster in late August 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Thumb injuries for a tight end (fracture, UCL/’skier’s thumb’ tear) typically cost 4-8 weeks depending on whether surgery and pinning are required. Catching is the limiting function, so tight ends generally cannot play through it the way a lineman can.
  • Expected back to full health: Eligible to be activated from Week 5 (early-to-mid October 2026) having satisfied the four-game minimum, but Indianapolis must first open a 21-day practice window, so a realistic return is Week 5 to Week 7 (October 2026).
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2 — ineligible. He cannot play Sunday Sept 20 at the Kansas City Chiefs under the Reserve/Injured rules.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-4: ineligible, zero snaps. Week 5 is the first week he can be activated. Even on return he slots behind Tyler Warren and Mo Alie-Cox with no projected target share.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Already covered: Tyler Warren is the every-down TE1, Mo Alie-Cox the blocking TE2, and Andrew Ogletree the TE3 in Mallory’s absence. Practice-squad TEs Pharaoh Brown and Kenny Fletcher Jr. are the emergency depth.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still Reserve/Injured with a designated-to-return tag (RSR), confirmed on the Sept 18 nfl.com roster pull. No practice window has been opened.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR. He is ineligible for three more weeks and returns to a No. 3 tight end role behind an ascending Tyler Warren. Ignore entirely.

Eli Stowers — PHI (Formerly the rookie TE3 and a projected move/receiving tight end. Now on Reserve/Injured and off the active depth chart entirely; Johnny Mundt and E.J. Jenkins are the tight ends behind Dallas Goedert.)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) a reserve-list roster status, not a weekly game-status tag. nfl.com lists him RES on the Eagles’ official roster as of Fri Sept 18, 2026. This is a four-game-minimum in-season IR placement made Sept 12, 2026, and it outranks his prior Questionable tag.
  • Practice this week: No practice participation is filed for a player on Reserve/Injured. He did not participate Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18 and is not eligible to. Before the IR move he had been Limited all three days of Week 1 prep (Wed Sept 9 / Thu Sept 10 / Fri Sept 11) and was then downgraded to Out on Saturday Sept 12.
  • Injury: Hamstring strain plus a quadriceps injury — two separate leg injuries stacked on the same lower body, which is why Philadelphia went to IR rather than week-to-week.
  • When it happened: The hamstring strain occurred in the second preseason game at New England (August 2026). The quadriceps issue developed on top of it during the Week 1 practice week (Sept 9-11, 2026). He was downgraded to Out on Saturday Sept 12 and placed on injured reserve the same day.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: A Grade 1 hamstring strain sidelines an NFL player roughly 1-2 weeks, Grade 2 roughly 3-6 weeks, Grade 3 (with retraction) 8-12+ weeks. A concurrent quad strain compounds the timeline because both muscle groups load the same leg during acceleration, and re-injury risk rises sharply if a player returns before both are asymptomatic. The four-game IR placement points to a Grade 2 hamstring at minimum.
  • Expected back to full health: Earliest activation is Week 5 (the week of Oct 4-8, 2026) under the four-game IR minimum. A realistic full-health, full-role return is more likely Weeks 6-7 (mid-to-late October 2026), because soft-tissue injuries of this kind routinely take a week or two beyond the minimum.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium (1:00 p.m. ET). Reserve/Injured players are ineligible to play.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2 (at TEN), 3 and 4 with certainty under the IR minimum. Week 5 is the first week he is even eligible to be activated, and that would require a clean practice window. Treat Weeks 2-4 as guaranteed absences.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Johnny Mundt (TE2) and E.J. Jenkins (TE3) are the active tight ends behind Dallas Goedert; Josiah Deguara is the practice-squad option. With Grant Calcaterra also on reserve, Philadelphia is down to three healthy tight ends and Goedert’s snap share is effectively maximized.
  • Change since Week 1: MAJOR CHANGE. On Sept 12 the baseline had him ACT and QUESTIONABLE with a hamstring after three Limited practices. He was downgraded to Out that Saturday and placed on injured reserve on Sept 12, 2026 with a hamstring AND a quad injury, out a minimum of four games. The baseline’s active/Questionable line is now wrong.

Fantasy takeaway: Drop him in 12-team full-PPR redraft leagues; a four-game minimum absence for a rookie TE3 is not worth a bench spot. The actionable consequence is on Dallas Goedert — with both Stowers and Calcaterra on reserve, Goedert is running as close to an every-down tight end as Philadelphia gets, and that is a quiet boost to his target floor. Start Goedert with more confidence than his name-brand price suggests.

Caleb Lohner — DEN (TE6 — reserve-list tight end, not on the active depth chart and not competing for offensive snaps while shelved)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an OFFICIAL RESERVE-LIST ROSTER STATUS carried on Denver’s nfl.com roster as RSR, not a weekly game-status tag. This outranks any practice-report consideration: he is ineligible to play until activated.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — reserve-list players do not appear on the weekly practice report. Full week: not eligible to practice with the team Wed Sept 16 / Thu Sept 17 / Fri Sept 18 in any countable capacity.
  • Injury: Lower-body injury, undisclosed specifics by the club. Denver has not named the structure involved.
  • When it happened: Placed on the reserve list ahead of the 2026 regular season, in the roster-trimming window at the end of August 2026 when Denver reached the 53-player limit. He has not been active for either Week 1 or Week 2.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Governed by the roster rule rather than the biology: a player placed on Reserve/Injured after the initial 53-man cutdown must miss a minimum of four games before he is eligible to be activated. CBS Sports lists his expected return as Week 5, which lines up exactly with that four-game minimum.
  • Expected back to full health: Early October 2026 — Week 5 is the first week he is eligible to return, and that is the date being carried publicly. Realistically he needs a practice window opened before that, so Week 5-6 is the honest range.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY, Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars in Denver. He is ineligible by roster rule, not by game-day decision.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2, 3 and 4: ineligible, guaranteed inactive. Week 5: first eligible week for activation. Even on activation he returns as a TE4/TE5 in a room fronted by Evan Engram, Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins, so a roster spot does not translate into a role.
  • Who benefits if he sits: N/A — his absence is already fully absorbed. Evan Engram (TE1), Adam Trautman (TE2), Nate Adkins (TE3) and Dallen Bentley (TE4) constitute the active room, with Lucas Krull (DEV) on the practice squad. No redistribution of targets is pending.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THE REPORT as an explicit entry — the Sept 12 baseline did not list him, though his reserve status predates that date. Verified today at RSR on the nfl.com Denver roster pull (Friday Sept 18, 2026). Nothing about his status has actually changed week over week; this is a baseline gap being closed.

Fantasy takeaway: Completely irrelevant in 12-team full-PPR redraft. Do not roster, do not stash, do not spend FAAB. He is listed here only because the assignment requires reserve-list statuses to be reported and because he is the reason Denver’s tight end depth is one body thinner than it looks on paper.

John Michael Gyllenborg — KC (TE6 — reserve-list tight end, not on the active depth chart and not competing for snaps while shelved)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an OFFICIAL RESERVE-LIST ROSTER STATUS carried on Kansas City’s nfl.com roster as RES, not a weekly game-status tag. He is ineligible to play until activated.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — reserve-list players do not appear on the weekly practice report. Full week: not eligible to practice with the team in any countable capacity Wed Sept 16 / Thu Sept 17 / Fri Sept 18.
  • Injury: Knee injury, per the CBS Sports injury listing for Kansas City. The club has not disclosed the specific structure involved.
  • When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured in the preseason-to-regular-season roster window of late August / early September 2026. He has not been active for Week 1 or Week 2 of the 2026 season.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Governed primarily by the roster rule: a post-cutdown Reserve/Injured placement requires a minimum four-game absence before activation eligibility. On the medical side, an undisclosed knee injury serious enough for an IR placement generally implies at least a ligament sprain (MCL, 2-6 weeks) or a meniscus procedure (2-4 weeks for a trim, 3-4 months for a repair).
  • Expected back to full health: Mid-October 2026 at the earliest — Week 5 or later if the four-game minimum applies. No return date has been announced by the club.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY, Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 vs. the Indianapolis Colts at Arrowhead Stadium. Ineligible by roster rule.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2, 3 and 4: ineligible, guaranteed inactive. Week 5 onward: procedurally eligible at the earliest. He would return as TE5 behind Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, Jake Briningstool and Jared Wiley, with no path to fantasy relevance.
  • Who benefits if he sits: N/A — his absence is already fully absorbed. Travis Kelce (TE1), Noah Gray (TE2), Jake Briningstool (TE3) and Jared Wiley (TE4) are the active room, with Thomas Odukoya (DEV) on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THE REPORT as an explicit entry — the Sept 12 baseline did not list him, though his reserve status predates that date. Verified today at RES on the nfl.com Kansas City roster pull (Friday Sept 18, 2026) and cross-checked against the CBS Sports Chiefs injury page. Nothing has actually changed week over week; this is a baseline gap being closed.

Fantasy takeaway: Completely irrelevant in 12-team full-PPR redraft. Do not roster, do not stash, do not spend FAAB. Logged only to satisfy the reserve-list reporting requirement. The actionable Kansas City tight end note is the opposite of this entry: Travis Kelce is entirely absent from the Week 2 injury report and is fully cleared.

Carter Runyon — LV (TE6 — reserve-list tight end, not on the active depth chart and not competing for snaps while shelved)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an OFFICIAL RESERVE-LIST ROSTER STATUS carried on the Raiders’ nfl.com roster as RSR (reserve), not a weekly game-status tag. He is ineligible to play until activated.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — reserve-list players do not appear on the weekly practice report. Full week: not eligible to practice with the team in any countable capacity Wed Sept 16 / Thu Sept 17 / Fri Sept 18.
  • Injury: Undisclosed by the club. The reserve placement is the official record; CBS Sports carries him as undisclosed on the Raiders IR listing.
  • When it happened: Placed on the reserve list ahead of the 2026 regular season, in the late August / early September 2026 roster-trimming window. He has not been active for Week 1 or Week 2.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Governed by the roster rule rather than the medicine, since the injury is undisclosed: a post-cutdown reserve/injured placement carries a mandatory four-game minimum absence before activation eligibility. CBS Sports lists his expected return as Week 5, which matches that minimum exactly.
  • Expected back to full health: Early October 2026 — Week 5 is the first eligible week and the publicly carried target. A 21-day practice window would need to be opened first, so Week 5-6 is the realistic range.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY, Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 at the Los Angeles Chargers. Ineligible by roster rule.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2, 3 and 4: ineligible, guaranteed inactive. Week 5: first eligible week and the carried target. On return he would sit behind Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas with no fantasy-relevant role — and by Week 5 Bowers should be fully healthy, further squeezing him out.
  • Who benefits if he sits: N/A — his absence is already fully absorbed. The active tight end room is Brock Bowers (doubtful for Week 2), Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas, with Chris Myarick and Patrick Gurd available for practice-squad elevation.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THE REPORT as an explicit entry — the Sept 12 baseline did not list him. Verified today at RSR on the nfl.com Las Vegas roster pull (Friday Sept 18, 2026) and cross-checked against the CBS Sports Raiders injury page, which carries a Week 5 return target. His status likely predates Sept 12; this is a baseline gap being closed rather than a new move.

Fantasy takeaway: Completely irrelevant in 12-team full-PPR redraft. Do not roster, do not stash, do not spend FAAB. Logged to satisfy the reserve-list reporting requirement. The useful takeaway is structural: Runyon plus Justin Shorter on reserve means Las Vegas has no internal tight end insurance behind Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas while Brock Bowers is down, which concentrates Week 2 tight end usage into Mayer.

Jameson Geers — ARI (Not on the active depth chart — reserve list)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as RES (Reserve/Injured) on the official nfl.com Cardinals roster as of Sept 18, 2026.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — he is on the reserve list and ineligible to practice with the team. He has not practiced. Week of Sept 16-18: no participation of any kind.
  • Injury: Undisclosed injury carried from training camp. Arizona has not detailed it publicly.
  • When it happened: Training camp/preseason, August 2026. He was placed on injured reserve around the 53-man roster cutdown.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not quantifiable without a named injury. A player placed on IR out of camp without a return designation is generally on a multi-month timeline.
  • Expected back to full health: Unknown and unlikely to be relevant in 2026. Treat him as out for the season absent a specific club announcement.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY and is ineligible. He cannot appear in the Sept 20, 2026 game vs. Seattle.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2 through 5 and almost certainly the balance of 2026.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Hunter Long (TE2) and Elijah Higgins (TE3) are the tight ends behind Trey McBride; Teagan Quitoriano and Shawn Bowman are on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still RES on the official roster.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any format. He was a camp-body tight end behind Trey McBride before the injury. Listed here only because reserve-list completeness requires it.

DJ Rogers — DAL (Reserve/Injured tight end — not on the active roster and holds no active depth-chart role.)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) a reserve-list roster status rather than a weekly game-status tag. nfl.com lists him RES on the Cowboys’ official roster as of Fri Sept 18, 2026. The reserve-list status outranks any practice-report discussion.
  • Practice this week: No practice participation is filed for a player on Reserve/Injured. He did not participate Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18 and is not eligible to.
  • Injury: Undisclosed by the club. Dallas has not specified the injury on any public report through Sept 18, 2026.
  • When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured at or before the start of the 2026 regular season (continuously on the list since the Sept 12 baseline). The underlying injury date has not been disclosed.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Cannot be estimated with precision because the injury is undisclosed. The structural floor applies: in-season IR means a minimum of four missed games; a cutdown-day IR placement without a return designation means the full season.
  • Expected back to full health: Indeterminate. Earliest theoretical activation is Week 5 (early-to-mid October 2026) if a return designation exists; otherwise he is out for 2026.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 vs the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET). Reserve/Injured players are ineligible to play.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2 (vs WAS), 3 and 4 at minimum. Week 5 is the earliest speculative return.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Already covered by Jake Ferguson (TE1), Brevyn Spann-Ford (TE2) and Luke Schoonmaker (TE3), plus practice-squad tight ends James Mitchell and Michael Trigg.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still on Reserve/Injured with the injury undisclosed.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in a 12-team full-PPR league; do not roster. He appears here only for completeness of Dallas’s reserve list and as context for the thin TE room behind Jake Ferguson.

Princeton Fant — DAL (Reserve/Injured tight end — not on the active roster and holds no active depth-chart role.)

  • When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured at or before the start of the 2026 regular season (on the list continuously since the Sept 12 baseline). The club has not disclosed the date of the underlying injury.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Cannot be estimated with any precision because the injury is undisclosed. Structurally, any player placed on IR from the initial 53-man cutdown without a return designation is out for the full season; a player placed on in-season IR is out a minimum of four games. His continued RES code through two weeks points to the longer end.
  • Expected back to full health: Indeterminate given the undisclosed injury. If he carries a return designation, the earliest possible activation is Week 5 (early-to-mid October 2026); if he was placed on IR at cutdown, he is out for 2026 entirely.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 vs the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET). Players on Reserve/Injured are ineligible to play.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2 (vs WAS), 3 and 4 at an absolute minimum under IR rules. Week 5 is the theoretical earliest return and even that is speculative without a disclosed injury or an announced practice window.
  • Who benefits if he sits: His snaps are already absorbed by the active group: Jake Ferguson (TE1), Brevyn Spann-Ford (TE2) and Luke Schoonmaker (TE3), with James Mitchell and Michael Trigg available as practice-squad elevations.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still on Reserve/Injured with the injury undisclosed.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in a 12-team full-PPR league; do not roster. Tracked only because Dallas now has two tight ends on IR (Fant and DJ Rogers), which is the reason Schoonmaker’s availability and a two-TE rotation still matter around Jake Ferguson.

Luke Musgrave — GB (Would be a rotational TE behind Tucker Kraft and Jonnu Smith; currently on Reserve/PUP and off the active roster)

  • Status: PUP — (c) official reserve-list status. Verified as status code PUP on https://www.nfl.com/teams/green-bay-packers/roster as of Sept 18, 2026. Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform. The reserve-list status outranks any game-status designation; he is not on the active roster and cannot carry a game designation.
  • Practice this week: Not reported — players on Reserve/PUP do not practice with the team and do not appear on the official participation report until their return window is formally opened. Full week: no Wed, Thu or Fri participation of any kind. No reporting indicates the window has been opened as of Friday Sept 18.
  • Injury: Neck injury. Green Bay has not published further specificity on the nature or grade.
  • When it happened: Sustained during the 2026 offseason program or training camp; he failed his physical at the start of camp, which is what made him eligible for the Reserve/PUP list at roster cutdowns in late August 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Neck injuries in NFL players are the hardest class to timeline because the range is so wide. A cervical strain or stinger-class injury resolves in 2-6 weeks; a disc or foraminal stenosis issue can require surgery and cost a full season or end a career. The fact that Green Bay used a Reserve/PUP designation rather than a short-term IR placement signals the club expected a multi-month absence from the outset.
  • Expected back to full health: Not reliably estimable. Reserve/PUP requires him to miss at least the first four regular-season games, making Week 5 the earliest theoretical eligibility, but nothing in the reporting suggests that is a live target. A late-season return or a full-season absence are both realistic. Treat any return before November 2026 as unlikely absent new reporting.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY in Week 2 vs the New York Jets on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. He is ineligible — on Reserve/PUP, not on the active roster.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2, 3 and 4 by rule. Week 5 is the earliest possible activation but there is no indication Green Bay is working toward it, and no 21-day practice window has been opened. Assume out for the entire Weeks 2-5 window.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Tucker Kraft (TE1, ACT #85) is the unquestioned starter and was healthy and productive in Week 1 (45 snaps, 3 catches, 65 yards).
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 — still PUP and still unavailable, with no return window opened.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR and not a stash. Even in the best case he returns no earlier than Week 5 to a room where Tucker Kraft is a locked-in TE1 and Jonnu Smith is taking the complementary snaps. There is no realistic path to fantasy-relevant volume this season. The actionable Green Bay TE note is the opposite one: Kraft is completely healthy and off the injury report, and should be started.

Carson Towt — IND (Not on the active depth chart — on Reserve/Injured with no return designation. Was a camp-body/blocking tight end.)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried on nfl.com as status code RES with NO designated-to-return tag attached, which effectively ends his 2026 season.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable (Friday Sept 18). Full week: not reported Wed/Thu/Fri — he is on Reserve/Injured and cannot practice or be activated.
  • Injury: Undisclosed — Indianapolis did not publicly specify the injury at the time of the roster move, and has not since.
  • When it happened: Suffered in the 2026 preseason, prior to the Colts’ late-August 2026 roster cutdown.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Cannot be estimated without a disclosed diagnosis. The absence of a return designation implies the Colts expect an absence long enough that the roster spot was not worth preserving — generally a multi-month recovery.
  • Expected back to full health: Unknown, and functionally irrelevant for 2026 — with no return designation attached he cannot be activated this season. A realistic target is 2027 offseason.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2 — ineligible. He cannot play Sunday Sept 20 at the Kansas City Chiefs, or in any remaining 2026 game.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: ineligible, zero snaps, no in-season path back. He is out for 2026.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Mo Alie-Cox handles the blocking tight end work behind Tyler Warren, with Andrew Ogletree as TE3.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still Reserve/Injured (RES) with no return designation, confirmed on the Sept 18 nfl.com roster pull.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any format. Not rosterable. He is listed only so his reserve-list status is not mistaken for a week-to-week absence.

Justin Shorter — LV (TE7 — reserve-list tight end, not on the active depth chart and not competing for snaps while shelved)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an OFFICIAL RESERVE-LIST ROSTER STATUS carried on the Raiders’ nfl.com roster as RES, not a weekly game-status tag.
The Reserve/Injured placement is the official record; CBS Sports carries him as undisclosed on the Raiders IR listing.
  • When it happened: Placed on Reserve/Injured ahead of the 2026 regular season, in the late August / early September 2026 roster-trimming window. He has not been active for Week 1 or Week 2.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not determinable from the medicine because the injury is undisclosed. The governing constraint is the roster rule: a post-cutdown Reserve/Injured placement requires a minimum four-game absence before activation eligibility.
  • Expected back to full health: Unknown and undisclosed. Week 5 2026 (early October) is the earliest procedurally possible activation if the four-game minimum applies; Las Vegas has announced nothing.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY, Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 at the Los Angeles Chargers. Ineligible by roster rule.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2, 3 and 4: ineligible, guaranteed inactive. Week 5 onward: procedurally eligible at the earliest. He would return behind Brock Bowers, Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas with no path to meaningful snaps.
  • Who benefits if he sits: N/A — his absence is already fully absorbed. Brock Bowers (TE1, doubtful this week), Michael Mayer (TE2) and Ian Thomas (TE3) are the active room, with Chris Myarick and Patrick Gurd on the practice squad and Carter Runyon also on a reserve list.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THE REPORT as an explicit entry — the Sept 12 baseline did not list him. Verified today at RES on the nfl.com Las Vegas roster pull (Friday Sept 18, 2026) and cross-checked against the CBS Sports Raiders injury page. His status likely predates Sept 12; this is a baseline gap being closed rather than a new move.

Fantasy takeaway: Completely irrelevant in 12-team full-PPR redraft. Do not roster, do not stash, do not spend FAAB. Logged only to satisfy the reserve-list reporting requirement. He matters as context, not as an asset: with Shorter and Carter Runyon both shelved and Brock Bowers doubtful, the Raiders’ functional tight end room for Week 2 is Michael Mayer and Ian Thomas, which is exactly why Mayer’s one-week streaming value is real.

Cole Turner — MIA (Reserve TE — not on the active depth chart; on Reserve/Injured and ineligible to practice or play)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an official reserve-list status (status code RES on the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com Miami roster), not a weekly game-status designation. He was placed on IR out of training camp, which under the standard rules means he is ineligible to return this season unless Miami designates him for return and uses one of its activation slots.
  • Practice this week: Not reported and not applicable — a player on Reserve/Injured is barred from practicing with the club. Full week: no participation logged Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18, and he appears on no Miami practice report.
  • Injury: Undisclosed — Miami has not specified the injury. The club placed him on IR at the initial roster reduction without a public diagnosis.
  • When it happened: During Miami’s 2026 training camp or preseason, prior to the early-September 2026 roster cutdown. He was placed on Reserve/Injured before the Week 1 game at Las Vegas and has not been on the field since.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Unquantifiable without a disclosed diagnosis. The structural constraint dominates: a player placed on IR at cutdown without a designated-to-return slot is typically out for the season. If Miami did reserve a return designation for him, the minimum absence is four regular-season games followed by a 21-day practice window, putting any theoretical return no earlier than Week 5.
  • Expected back to full health: Unknown medically. Procedurally, a return in 2026 is unlikely; if it happens at all the earliest realistic window is Week 5 (Oct 11, 2026 vs Cincinnati) or, far more plausibly, after Miami’s Week 6 bye in late October 2026.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2 — he is ineligible by rule for Miami’s Sunday Sept 20, 2026 game at the San Francisco 49ers. A Reserve/Injured player does not appear on the game-status report and does not count against the inactive list.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5. Ineligible for Week 2 (Sept 20 at San Francisco), Week 3 (Sept 27 vs Kansas City) and Week 4 (Oct 4 at Minnesota). Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Cincinnati) is the first game he could theoretically be activated for, and only with a designated-to-return move Miami has given no indication of making. Assume he is out for the entire window.
  • Who benefits if he sits: His snaps were absorbed before the season began.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still Reserve/Injured on the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com roster pull, still undisclosed, still ineligible. Confirmed against the current roster rather than carried over on faith.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any 12-team full-PPR redraft format. He cannot play, likely will not play this season, and would be a TE4 if activated. Do not roster under any circumstances.

Ben Yurosek — MIN (Would be a depth tight end behind T.J. Hockenson and Josh Oliver; currently on injured reserve and off the active roster)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status. Verified as status code RES on https://www.nfl.com/teams/minnesota-vikings/roster as of Sept 18, 2026. The reserve-list status outranks any game-status designation; he is not on the active roster and cannot be listed as Out.
  • Practice this week: Not reported — players on Reserve/Injured do not practice with the team and do not appear on the official participation report. Full week: no Wed, Thu or Fri participation of any kind.
  • Injury: Undisclosed — Minnesota has not specified the injury type. The club placed him on injured reserve without publishing a characterization.
  • When it happened: Late August 2026, around roster cutdowns, which is when the IR placement occurred. No more specific date has been made public.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not estimable without a disclosed injury type. As a general matter, a player placed on IR at cutdowns without a designation to return is usually facing a multi-month absence; if he was placed with a return designation the minimum is four games. Absent club disclosure, no responsible recovery window can be given.
  • Expected back to full health: Not reliably estimable given the undisclosed injury. If this is a standard IR placement from cutdowns, Week 5 would be the earliest theoretical eligibility, but no practice window has been reported as opened and there is no public target date.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY in Week 2 at Chicago on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. He is ineligible — on injured reserve, not on the active roster.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2, 3 and 4 at minimum. Week 5 is the earliest theoretical return but nothing in the reporting points to it. Even on activation he would be a third or fourth tight end with no path to fantasy volume behind Hockenson and Oliver.
  • Who benefits if he sits: T.J.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 — still RES (injured reserve) and still unavailable, with no practice window opened and no disclosure of the injury type.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR and not a stash. He is on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury, no return window, and no path to volume behind T.J. Hockenson. The actionable Minnesota tight end note runs the other way: Hockenson is healthy and gets a target bump with Jauan Jennings out for Week 2.

Julian Hill — NE (Reserve TE — not on the active depth chart; on Reserve/Injured and ineligible to practice or play)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) an official reserve-list status (status code RES on the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com New England roster), not a weekly game-status designation.
  • Practice this week: Not reported and not applicable — a player on Reserve/Injured is barred from practicing with the club. Full week: no participation logged Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18; he appears on no New England practice report.
  • Injury: Undisclosed — New England has not specified the injury. He was placed on IR without a public diagnosis.
  • When it happened: During New England’s 2026 training camp or preseason, prior to the early-September 2026 roster reduction. He has been on Reserve/Injured since before the Week 1 game vs Seattle on Sept 9, 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Unquantifiable without a disclosed diagnosis. The procedural constraint governs: a cutdown IR placement without a designated-to-return slot is a season-ending move; with a return slot the minimum is four games missed plus a 21-day practice window, meaning no return before Week 5.
  • Expected back to full health: Unknown medically. Procedurally, the earliest theoretical return is around Week 5 (Oct 11, 2026 vs Las Vegas), with a season-long absence the more likely outcome. New England has signaled nothing.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2 — ineligible by rule for New England’s Sunday Sept 20, 2026 home game vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. He receives no game-status designation and does not count against the inactive list.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5, all ineligible. Out for Week 2 (Sept 20 vs Pittsburgh), Week 3 (Sept 27 at Jacksonville), Week 4 (Oct 4 at Buffalo) and Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Las Vegas). Assume no availability across the window.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Already absorbed.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still Reserve/Injured, confirmed as RES on the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com roster pull, still undisclosed, still ineligible.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any format. He cannot play and would be a blocking TE if activated. Do not roster. The only adjacent note worth acting on: Hunter Henry’s target share should hold up or rise with A.J. Brown on IR, and New England has no tight end depth to threaten his snaps.

Moliki Matavao — NO (Depth TE — currently occupies no active depth-chart slot because he is on a reserve list)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) official reserve-list status, not a weekly game-status designation. nfl.com’s live roster lists him RES (Reserve/Injured, with NO return designation, No. 80), which means he is out for the full 2026 season. This reserve status outranks anything about where or how the injury happened.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable / not reported (Friday Sept 18). Full week: not reported Wed Sept 16 -> not reported Thu Sept 17 -> not reported Fri Sept 18. Players on season-ending Reserve/Injured do not practice and do not appear on the weekly report.
  • Injury: Undisclosed injury sustained in the 2026 preseason. New Orleans has not specified the body part publicly.
  • When it happened: During the 2026 preseason, prior to the Sept 13 opener at Detroit.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: The absence of a return designation is the controlling fact: this is a season-ending placement regardless of the underlying injury class. No recovery range applies to his 2026 availability.
  • Expected back to full health: Not applicable for 2026 — out for the season. Any return would be for the 2027 league year.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY. Ineligible for Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Baltimore Ravens and for every remaining 2026 game.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: ineligible in all four. A season-long non-factor.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Juwan Johnson (TE1), Noah Fant (TE2), Oscar Delp (TE3) and Treyton Welch (TE4) make up the active tight end room, with Stone Smartt on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. He was RES on the baseline and is RES today on the live nfl.com roster.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in any format. Drop immediately if still held anywhere.

Grant Calcaterra — PHI (Reserve-list tight end — not on the active roster and off the Ourlads depth chart entirely as of Sept 16, 2026.)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) a reserve-list roster status, not a weekly game-status tag. nfl.com shows him with the code RSR (reserve) on the Eagles’ official roster as of Fri Sept 18, 2026. He was placed on injured reserve on Sept 1, 2026, which requires him to miss at least the first four weeks of the season. Correcting the baseline: he is a reserve-list player, not an active ‘designated to return’ participant.
  • Practice this week: No practice participation is filed for a player on the reserve list. He did not participate Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18 and is not eligible to. No 21-day practice window has been opened for him as of Friday Sept 18, 2026.
  • Injury: Undisclosed by the club. Philadelphia has not specified the injury publicly through Sept 18, 2026.
  • When it happened: Placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, Sept 1, 2026, at the initial roster-reduction period. The club did not disclose when or how the underlying injury occurred.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Cannot be given a grade-based range because the injury is undisclosed. The governing constraint is procedural rather than medical: an IR placement at the Sept 1 cutdown requires a minimum four-game absence, so the floor is Weeks 1-4 regardless of how the injury itself heals.
  • Expected back to full health: Earliest possible activation is Week 5 (the week of Oct 4-8, 2026), and only if Philadelphia opens a 21-day practice window first. With no window opened as of Sept 18, a Week 5 return is already looking optimistic; mid-October 2026 is the more realistic band.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium (1:00 p.m. ET). Reserve-list players are ineligible to play.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2 (at TEN), 3 and 4 with certainty. Week 5 is the earliest theoretical return and would require a practice window to be opened in the interim — watch for that transaction as the tell.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Dallas Goedert (TE1) absorbs the bulk of his snaps, with Johnny Mundt (TE2) and E.J. Jenkins (TE3) handling the rest and Josiah Deguara on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: CORRECTED, not changed. The Sept 12 baseline described him as ‘Reserve/Injured, DESIGNATED TO RETURN.’ The current nfl.com roster shows the code RSR and no practice window has been opened as of Sept 18, so he should be treated as a straightforward four-game-minimum IR player, not one already on a return track.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR league right now. He is a deep-league watch-list name only — if Philadelphia opens his practice window in early October he becomes a speculative TE2 add, but not before. The relevant Week 2 fact is that his absence, stacked with Eli Stowers’s, concentrates tight end usage in Dallas Goedert.

Robbie Ouzts — SEA (Not on the active depth chart — FB/TE hybrid on the reserve list, a blocking specialist)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Carried as RES (Reserve/Injured) on the official nfl.com Seahawks roster as of Sept 18, 2026.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable — he is on the reserve list and ineligible to practice with the team. He has not practiced. Week of Sept 16-18: no participation of any kind.
  • Injury: Undisclosed. Seattle has not detailed the injury or body part.
  • When it happened: Training camp/preseason, August 2026, around the 53-man roster cutdown.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not quantifiable without a named injury.
  • Expected back to full health: Unknown; not relevant to 2026 fantasy. Treat him as out absent a specific club announcement.
  • Next game: WILL NOT PLAY and is ineligible. He cannot appear in the Sept 20, 2026 game vs. Arizona.
  • Next four weeks: Out for Weeks 2 through 5 at minimum.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Brady Russell handles the fullback snaps; AJ Barner, Eric Saubert, Elijah Arroyo and Nick Kallerup are the active tight ends.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still RES on the official roster.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any format — a blocking FB/TE hybrid who would not be rostered even at full health. Listed only for reserve-list completeness.

Jaren Kanak — TEN (Not on the active depth chart — on season-ending Reserve/Injured. Was a hybrid TE/special-teams player.)

  • Status: RESERVE-INJURED — (c) reserve/roster-list status. Confirmed on nfl.com as status code RES with no return designation. Season-ending; this outranks any other consideration.
  • Practice this week: Not applicable (Friday Sept 18). Full week: not reported Wed/Thu/Fri — he is on season-ending Reserve/Injured and is ineligible to practice or be activated in 2026.
  • Injury: Torn pectoral muscle
  • When it happened: Suffered in the 2026 preseason/training camp window, before Tennessee set its initial 53-man roster in late August 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Complete pectoral tendon rupture requiring surgical repair: 4-6 months to return to play, with strength typically not fully restored until 6-9 months post-operation. This is a standard season-ending injury for a player hurt in August.
  • Expected back to full health: Spring 2027 — he will not play again in the 2026 season. A realistic target is the 2027 offseason program.
  • Next game: OUT for Week 2 — ineligible. He cannot play Sunday Sept 20 vs the Philadelphia Eagles (1:00 PM ET, Nissan Stadium), or in any remaining 2026 game.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: ineligible, zero snaps. He is out for the full 2026 season with no in-season path back.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Already absorbed: Gunnar Helm is the every-down TE1, with Daniel Bellinger, David Martin-Robinson and Kylen Granson rotating behind him. Practice-squad TE Joel Wilson is the emergency elevation.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. Still on season-ending Reserve/Injured (RES), confirmed again on the Sept 18 nfl.com roster pull.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any format. Not rosterable. Drop him everywhere if somehow still held.

Doubtful (1)

Doubtful means the club expects him not to play. Treat it as out unless you see a pregame report saying otherwise.

Brock Bowers — LV (TE1 — every-down move tight end, the No. 1 target in the Raiders passing game when healthy; Ourlads restored him to the top of the TE room on its Sept 16 update even while he was rehabbing)

  • Status: DOUBTFUL — (a) FINAL Friday game-status designation filed by Las Vegas on the Sept 18, 2026 official report for the Sunday Sept 20 game at the Los Angeles Chargers. Confirmed on the club’s own release and on the league injury page.
  • Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 18). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 16 -> DNP Thu Sept 17 -> Limited Fri Sept 18. Friday was his first on-field work of any kind since the procedure — he showed up in uniform with a helmet, which is why the tag moved from Out (Week 1) to Doubtful rather than staying Out.
  • Injury: Right knee — torn meniscus, repaired with an arthroscopic meniscus trim (partial meniscectomy). He was NOT placed on Reserve/Injured; Las Vegas kept him on the 53 at ACT the whole time, which is confirmed on the nfl.com roster pull today.
  • When it happened: Sustained in practice in the run-up to the Week 1 opener vs. Miami, with the arthroscopic trim performed in the days immediately before that Sept 13, 2026 game. Head coach Klint Kubiak had previously indicated everyone would be available for Week 1, so the surgery news broke late and he was ruled Out on the final Week 1 report filed Friday Sept 11, 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: A meniscus TRIM (partial meniscectomy) is the short-recovery version: typically 2-4 weeks to return to game action, and NFL players have come back in as little as 10-14 days. That is the distinction that matters — a meniscus REPAIR (suturing the tissue) runs 3-4 months. Bowers had the trim, which is why ESPN’s Adam Schefter framed the original timeline as a one- or two-game absence rather than a season-altering one.
  • Expected back to full health: Effectively full by the end of September 2026 — target Week 3 (Sunday Sept 27) for his season debut, with full unrestricted snap counts by Week 4 (early October). Kubiak publicly expressed optimism about a Week 3 return on Friday Sept 18.
  • Next game: Will NOT play Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 at the Los Angeles Chargers (SoFi Stadium, 1:05 p.m. PT). Doubtful historically converts to inactive roughly 90-95 percent of the time, and the Raiders are on a short cross-town trip with a Week 3 return already being floated by the head coach — there is no incentive to rush a 2-week-post-op knee onto the field.
  • Next four weeks: Week 2 (at LAC, Sept 20): out. Week 3: this is the live return date — Kubiak said as much Friday, and the Friday limited practice is the exact progression you want to see. Weeks 4-5: assume a full workload and a return to the elite weekly TE1 tier. Treat Weeks 3-5 as the payoff window; a single extra week of caution is the main downside risk, not a setback.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Michael Mayer (TE2) is the direct beneficiary and has already been the de facto starter — he drew 6 catches for 32 yards in Week 1, an inefficient line that says the volume is real but the efficiency is not.
  • Change since Week 1: MATERIAL UPGRADE vs. the Sept 12 baseline. Last week he was OUT with a DNP on Friday Sept 11. This week the designation improved one full step to DOUBTFUL, and critically he practiced (Limited) on Friday Sept 18 for the first time since surgery. He remains on the ACTIVE roster (ACT) — Las Vegas still has not used an IR slot on him, which is the single clearest signal that the club expects him back inside the 4-game IR minimum. Baseline also had him listed third in the TE group behind Mayer and Thomas; Ourlads has now moved him back to TE1.

Fantasy takeaway: Do not drop him, do not trade him at a discount — this is a two-game absence on a meniscus trim, not a lost season. Bench him for Week 2 and stream the position (Mayer is himself a fine one-week TE1 streamer in a plus matchup). If a panicked manager in your 12-team full-PPR league offers you a mid-tier RB2 or WR2 for Bowers, buy him instead: you are acquiring a top-2 positional asset for Weeks 3-17 at a one-game discount. Michael Mayer is a legitimate FAAB target this week (5-8 percent of budget) but is a rental, not a hold.

Cleared — listed this week but carrying no designation (27)

The good news. Every player here carried an injury or a listing at some point this week and finished it without a designation.

Trey McBride — ARI (TE1 — every-down, elite-usage tight end and the focal point of the Arizona passing game)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on Arizona’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 18, 2026 for the Sept 20 game vs. Seattle, but with NO Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag filed. A blank status column on the final Friday report means he is expected to play without restriction.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 16 (listed NIR-Rest/Back) -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18.
  • Injury: Back — combined with a veteran rest day. Arizona coded the Wednesday absence as ‘NIR-Rest/Back’, which is the club telling you the rest component is at least as important as the medical one.
  • When it happened: Reported Wednesday, Sept 16, 2026. No specific injury event has been identified; this reads as routine post-Week-1 back soreness in a tight end who plays a near-full offensive snap share.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Non-specific back soreness / lumbar strain in an NFL tight end typically costs zero to one games and is usually managed with a Wednesday rest day exactly like this one. A disc or nerve-involved issue would be 3-6 weeks, but nothing in the participation pattern suggests that — a player who goes DNP to Full to Full in two days does not have a structural back problem.
  • Expected back to full health: Already effectively there. Fully healthy as of Friday, Sept 18, 2026.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, no designation, full role expected. Sunday, Sept 20, 2026 vs. the Seattle Seahawks in Arizona.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy for Weeks 2 through 5. Expect the occasional Wednesday veteran rest day to recur — that is maintenance, not a red flag. No change to his workload projection.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Hunter Long is the TE2 on the Ourlads depth chart with Elijah Higgins as TE3. Tip Reiman (PUP) is unavailable until Week 5 at the earliest. If McBride ever did miss time, the target share would flow to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson far more than to any backup tight end — neither Long nor Higgins is a viable streamer.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THE REPORT but not a concern. In the Sept 12 baseline he was explicitly healthy with no injury entry of any kind. He appeared on the Week 2 report Wednesday with a rest/back designation and practiced fully the next two days.

Fantasy takeaway: Start him without hesitation as a top-2 positional TE in 12-team full-PPR. The Wednesday DNP was noise, not signal — he practiced fully Thursday AND Friday and drew no game-status tag. If a nervous manager in your league saw the Wednesday DNP headline and will sell at a discount, buy.

Sam LaPorta — DET (TE1 — starting tight end and a core part of the passing game)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) confirmed by the absence of any entry on Detroit’s FINAL Week 2 official report, filed Sept 16, 2026 for the Thursday Sept 17 game at Buffalo. He carries NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION and played in the game.
  • Practice this week: Full — not listed on any day of Detroit’s Week 2 participation report during the short Thursday-game practice week (Mon-Wed, Sept 14-16). Unrestricted throughout.
  • Injury: None active. He underwent back surgery in the 2026 offseason and completed his return during training camp; the issue is fully behind him and has produced no in-season designation.
  • When it happened: The back surgery was an offseason 2026 procedure. He was welcomed back during training camp in July-August 2026 after what the club described as a long road from surgery, and he has not appeared on a regular-season injury report since.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Back surgery recovery in NFL skill players varies widely by procedure — a microdiscectomy typically costs 3-6 months, a fusion 6-12 months. LaPorta’s arc — surgery in the offseason, full camp participation, and no regular-season designation through two games — indicates a complete and uncomplicated recovery. The residual risk with any surgically treated back is recurrence under load, which is worth passive monitoring but is not currently an active concern.
  • Expected back to full health: Already achieved. He entered the 2026 regular season at full health and has stayed there through Week 2.
  • Next game: ALREADY PLAYED Week 2 — he was available and played at Buffalo on Thursday Sept 17, 2026. No designation was filed, he did not leave the game, and there is no post-game injury reporting on him.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy for Weeks 2 (played), 3, 4 and 5. Detroit’s extra rest after the Thursday game is a mild positive for a player coming off back surgery. No restriction is in place and none is anticipated.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Brock Wright (TE2, ACT #89) is the direct backup and would take over the primary tight end role. Tyler Conklin (TE3, ACT #83) is the experienced third option and would absorb receiving snaps. Thomas Gordon (DEV, #82) is the practice-squad depth.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 — he was listed as resolved on the baseline and remains resolved, off the injury report with no designation. Newly confirmed: he played the Week 2 game at Buffalo on Sept 17 and exited healthy.

Fantasy takeaway: Start him as a TE1 in 12-team full PPR. The relevant point for this week is that the offseason back surgery is a closed chapter — he is off the injury report entirely and played a full Thursday game. Note that Detroit produced a 31-point, four-touchdown passing performance in Week 2, which is the environment you want a tight end in. If a leaguemate is still discounting him over the surgery, buy.

Tucker Kraft — GB (TE1 — starting tight end and a primary target in the Green Bay passing game)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) confirmed by the absence of any entry on Green Bay’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official report for the Sept 20 game vs the New York Jets. He carries NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION.
  • Practice this week: Full — not listed on any day of the Week 2 participation report. Full week: not listed Wed, not listed Thu, not listed Fri, which by rule means unrestricted full participation.
  • Injury: None active. He carried an injury storyline into the 2026 season that resolved before Week 1.
  • When it happened: N/A for any current issue. The prior concern was a preseason and early-September 2026 recovery question that was resolved before the Week 1 opener; he has not appeared on a regular-season injury report.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — healthy, no active injury to recover from.
  • Expected back to full health: Already achieved. He entered Week 1 healthy and played 45 offensive snaps against Minnesota with no issue.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, unrestricted, in Week 2 vs the New York Jets on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. No designation and no practice restriction.
  • Next four weeks: Clean for Weeks 2 through 5. With Luke Musgrave on Reserve/PUP and unavailable, Kraft’s hold on the TE1 role is secure. The only usage competition is Jonnu Smith, who played 32 snaps to Kraft’s 45 in Week 1 — a real but not threatening split.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Jonnu Smith (TE2, ACT #18) would take over as the primary tight end and is already producing (32 snaps, 2 catches, 50 yards in Week 1). Josh Whyle (TE3, ACT #81) and Mark Redman (TE4, ACT #86) are the depth behind him. Luke Musgrave is unavailable on Reserve/PUP.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 — he was listed as resolved on the baseline and remains resolved, off the injury report with no designation.

Fantasy takeaway: Start him as a TE1 in 12-team full PPR. His Week 1 line of 3 catches for 65 yards on 45 snaps is a strong per-snap rate and he is completely clean on the injury report for Week 2. The one thing keeping him from the very top tier is Jonnu Smith’s 32-snap share, which caps his target ceiling — but in a Jordan Love offense with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden drawing coverage, Kraft’s role is stable and startable.

Dalton Schultz — HOU (TE1 — every-down starter and, with Collins out, likely the team’s leading target earner in Week 2)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (b) practice-report-only. He appeared on the Wednesday Sept 16 report as a non-participant but the reason logged was rest/veteran maintenance (NIR), not injury, and Houston filed no final Friday game-status tag for him for the Sept 20 game vs Cincinnati. He is fully expected to play.
  • Practice this week: Rest DNP (Wednesday Sept 16), then back on the field. Full week: DNP Wed (rest, not injury) -> practiced Thu Sept 17 -> practiced Fri Sept 18. He does not appear with an injury on the Texans’ own published Week 2 report.
  • Injury: None — veteran rest day only. Head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed the Wednesday absence was load management, not an injury.
  • When it happened: Not applicable. NOTE: several search results attach a ‘calf’ injury to Schultz. That calf injury is from the January 18, 2026 playoff loss to New England, i.e. the PRIOR season, and is fully resolved. It is not a 2026 Week 2 issue.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no active injury. A scheduled veterans’ rest day carries no recovery timeline.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2).
  • Next game: PLAYING, no restriction. He starts Sunday Sept 20 vs the Cincinnati Bengals (1:00 PM ET, Houston) and should be the focal point of the passing game with Nico Collins out.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: locked-in TE1 volume. Week 2 vs Cincinnati is his best matchup of the stretch and his highest-target week of the season to date. Expect his usage to settle back toward a 6-7 target baseline once Collins returns around Week 3-4, but he stays a starting fantasy TE throughout.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Foster Moreau (TE2) would absorb the inline and red-zone work, with Cade Stover and Brevin Jordan rotating. This is hypothetical only — Schultz is not in doubt.
  • Change since Week 1: CHANGED, and he is new to this report. Schultz was not on the Sept 12 baseline injury list. He surfaced on the Wednesday Sept 16 practice report as a DNP, which set off false alarms, but the reason is rest, not injury. His fantasy outlook has improved sharply because of Collins’ hamstring, not degraded.

Fantasy takeaway: Start him with confidence and treat him as a top-10 TE this week in 12-team full PPR. He had 8 targets in Week 1 before Collins’ injury vacated another ~10, and Cincinnati has been soft over the middle. If he is somehow on waivers, he is the highest-priority TE claim in the division.

Tyler Warren — IND (TE1 — every-down starter and a primary target in the Colts’ passing game)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) final Friday outcome: fully cleared, no injury and no game-status tag on Indianapolis’ official Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sept 20 game at Kansas City.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: Full Wed Sept 16 -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. Not listed on the Colts’ Week 2 practice report at any point.
  • Injury: None active — the August 2026 abductor/groin strain is fully resolved.
  • When it happened: Not applicable. The abductor/groin strain dates to August 2026 and cleared before the Sept 13 Week 1 game vs Baltimore, which he played.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no active injury. The August adductor strain resolved inside the preseason window, consistent with a Grade 1.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2), and has been since before Week 1.
  • Next game: PLAYING, unrestricted. He starts Sunday Sept 20 at the Kansas City Chiefs (8:20 PM ET, Arrowhead Stadium).
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: locked-in TE1 usage with no health flag. He is one of the two Colts explicitly recommended as a start against Kansas City despite the matchup, alongside Jonathan Taylor. Expect his role to grow, not shrink, over this stretch.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Mo Alie-Cox (TE2) would take the inline work and Andrew Ogletree (TE3) the receiving snaps. With Will Mallory on Reserve/Injured and Carson Towt out for the season, the room behind Warren is thin.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 — he was already logged as resolved on the baseline and remains off the injury report entirely. Reported here as cleared rather than dropped silently, per the tracking rule.

Fantasy takeaway: Start him every week in 12-team full PPR — he is a set-and-forget TE1. The abductor issue is fully in the rearview and he practiced fully all three days. If a manager in your league is nervous about the Kansas City matchup and will sell, he is a buy.

Greg Dulcich — MIA (TE1 — Miami’s starting tight end and the primary receiving option at the position)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing of any kind on Miami’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 20 game at San Francisco. He is entirely absent from the injury report. The August 2026 ‘day-to-day’ item that still ranks in search results has been superseded and is no longer operative.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18) and unlisted. Full week: Full Wed Sept 16 -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. He does not appear on any Miami injury report this week, which denotes full participation on all three days.
  • Injury: None currently. The last tracked issue was an undisclosed injury reported Aug 4, 2026 during training camp, for which head coach Jeff Hafley said he was day-to-day and targeted a return for joint practices with Washington. That resolved before the regular season and he has carried no listing since.
  • When it happened: Not applicable to any current injury. The superseded camp issue dates to early August 2026. Note his documented hamstring history from prior seasons is a background risk factor only, not an active injury.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — nothing is being recovered from. He has completed a full, unrestricted practice week and was unlisted in Week 1 as well.
  • Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Friday Sept 18, 2026, and has been since the Sept 13 opener at Las Vegas.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, FULLY HEALTHY. He starts at tight end for Miami in Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 PM ET on FOX. No designation, no listing, no restriction.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5. Week 2 (Sept 20 at San Francisco) — starts, healthy. Week 3 (Sept 27 vs Kansas City) — starts. Week 4 (Oct 4 at Minnesota) — starts. Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Cincinnati) — starts, then Miami takes its Week 6 bye. No health concern across the window, though his hamstring history means any future ‘limited’ Wednesday deserves immediate attention.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Will Kacmarek (ACT, TE2) is the direct replacement and would become the waiver-wire add. Seydou Traore (ACT, TE3) and Justin Joly (ACT, TE4) would rotate up. Cole Turner is on Reserve/Injured and Ben Sims was waived off IR with a settlement, so Miami has no veteran depth in reserve — Tre Watson (DEV) would be the practice-squad elevation.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW to this report as an explicit CLEARED entry. He was not an injury entry on the Sept 12 baseline and is not one now. He is listed here specifically to neutralize a stale-but-same-season Aug 4, 2026 ‘day-to-day with undisclosed injury’ item that still surfaces high in search and could be misread as current. Confirmed clear: no listing on any Week 1 or Week 2 Miami report.

Fantasy takeaway: Healthy and startable as a low-end TE1/streamer in a 12-team full-PPR redraft, but temper expectations: he is attached to a run-committed Jeff Hafley offense on an 0-1 team facing San Francisco, Kansas City and Minnesota over the next three weeks. Start him only if your TE situation is thin; Week 5 vs Cincinnati is the appealing spot. The key point for this report is that he is 100 percent healthy — do not let the August day-to-day headline talk you out of him.

Juwan Johnson — NO (TE1 — New Orleans’ primary receiving tight end and a legitimate target-share piece in this passing game)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on New Orleans’ FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official report with a BLANK Game Status column after a Friday full practice. Stating this plainly: blank means no designation and he is cleared to play at Baltimore on Sunday Sept 20.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 16 -> Limited Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. A textbook illness progression — out on Wednesday, ramping Thursday, clean by Friday.
  • Injury: Illness (non-orthopedic)
  • When it happened: Reported on the Wednesday Sept 16, 2026 practice report when he did not participate. No prior listing; this came on during Week 2 preparation and is unrelated to any Week 1 game event.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: A common short-duration illness in an NFL player is a 1-3 day issue. The relevant markers are exactly what happened here: return to limited work within 24 hours and full participation within 48. Players who clear an illness by Friday almost always play; the residual risk is conditioning and stamina rather than availability, and a heavy snap count in the first game back can show up as reduced late-game effectiveness.
  • Expected back to full health: Cleared as of Friday Sept 18, 2026, Week 2. Full conditioning back to baseline within a few days.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY. No designation for Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Baltimore Ravens.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: expect him available for all four. The illness is a non-event beyond Week 2. What makes him interesting across this window is the Chris Olave situation — if Olave misses time with the hamstring, Johnson is one of the most direct beneficiaries of the vacated target volume.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Noah Fant (TE2) would become the lead receiving tight end, with Oscar Delp (TE3, rookie) and Treyton Welch (TE4) filling in behind him.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW to this report. He did not appear on New Orleans’ Sept 12 final Week 1 injury report at all. The illness is a fresh Week 2 item that arose Sept 16, 2026 and has already resolved.

Fantasy takeaway: Startable TE1 in 12-team full-PPR and a slight buy this week. He is cleared, and he carries contingent upside: with Chris Olave a 50-50 Questionable, Johnson’s target floor at Baltimore is better than his ranking suggests. If the Wednesday DNP scared a manager in your league into shopping him, that is a favorable trade window. Do not bench him over an illness that resolved to Full by Friday.

AJ Barner — SEA (TE1 — the starting tight end ahead of Eric Saubert and Elijah Arroyo)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO entry at all on Seattle’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 18, 2026 for the Sept 20 game at Arizona. He remains fully off the injury report.
  • Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point this week. Full week: not listed Wed Sept 16 -> not listed Thu Sept 17 -> not listed Fri Sept 18.
  • Injury: None. The undisclosed minor issue that produced a Sept 9 practice-report entry cleared before Week 1 and has not recurred.
  • When it happened: Not applicable — no active injury. The prior item was a September practice-report entry that resolved before the Week 1 opener, in which he played.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — there is no current injury.
  • Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Friday, Sept 18, 2026.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, no designation, full role. Sunday, Sept 20, 2026 vs. the Arizona Cardinals, in Arizona.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy and starting Weeks 2 through 5. The limiter is the offense, not his health — Seattle splits tight end snaps and the passing game runs through Jaxon Smith-Njigba with Drew Lock at quarterback until Sam Darnold returns.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Eric Saubert is the TE2 on the Ourlads depth chart with Elijah Arroyo third and Nick Kallerup fourth. Arroyo is the more interesting name if Barner ever missed time — he is the receiving-skewed option in the room.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. He was marked RESOLVED on the baseline and remains completely off the injury report with no designation.

Fantasy takeaway: Streaming-only in 12-team full-PPR and not a start this week. Healthy, playing, but working in a split tight end room with a backup quarterback throwing. Roster him only in TE-premium formats or if you are desperate; otherwise stream a tight end with a better target path.

George Kittle — SF (TE1 — the clear TE1 with a larger role now that Jake Tonges is on IR)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on San Francisco’s FINAL official Friday report of Sept 18, 2026 for the Sept 20 home game vs. Miami with an Achilles entry, but with NO Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag filed.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 16 -> Limited Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. Progressing upward through the week — the best possible shape for a practice report.
  • Injury: Achilles — ongoing maintenance on the tendon he tore in 2025 and returned from. This is not a new injury; it is managed load on a repaired tendon.
  • When it happened: The underlying injury is the 2025 Achilles tear. There is no new Week 1 or Week 2 injury event — he played the full Melbourne game on Sept 10 (2 catches on 5 targets for 12 yards) and came out of it clean.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: He is already past the recovery window — full Achilles rupture rehab runs 9-12 months, and he is well beyond that and playing. What remains is normal post-repair tendon soreness, which is managed indefinitely with limited midweek practices and does not cost game time.
  • Expected back to full health: He is game-healthy now. Expect the Achilles to stay on the injury report as a maintenance listing all season without ever producing a missed game — that is the normal pattern for a Year-1-post-repair tendon.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, full role, no restriction. Sunday, Sept 20, 2026 vs. the Miami Dolphins at Levi’s Stadium.
  • Next four weeks: Available and starting Weeks 2 through 5. His role trends UP over this stretch: with Tonges on season-ending IR and Stribling out roughly 10 weeks, San Francisco’s pass-catcher depth has thinned and Kittle’s route participation and target floor both rise. Watch for a 12-personnel snap decline that concentrates his snaps into passing sets.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Luke Farrell is the TE2 and a blocker first; Brayden Willis is TE3 on the active roster and Jack Stoll is the practice-squad body signed Sept 16. If Kittle missed time, the targets would redistribute to Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel Sr. rather than to a tight end — no 49ers backup TE is a viable streamer.
  • Change since Week 1: IMPROVED IN ROLE, unchanged in health. On Sept 12 he was marked RESOLVED and off the Week 1 injury report entirely. He is back on the Week 2 report as an Achilles maintenance listing, which reads worse than it is — he practiced fully Friday with no designation. The real change is opportunity: Tonges to IR and Stribling out make Kittle a bigger part of this offense.

Fantasy takeaway: Start him as a top-5 TE in 12-team full-PPR. The Achilles listing is noise: Limited-Limited-FULL with no designation is a player who is fine. His Week 1 line (2 catches, 12 yards) was a dud, but that was a 27-7 blowout in which San Francisco threw 34 times and spread it around. The Tonges and Stribling injuries both push targets his way — this is a buy-low week if his manager is souring on him.

Adam Trautman — DEN (TE2 — in-line blocking tight end behind Evan Engram, ahead of Nate Adkins)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (b) no injury designation of any kind. He does not appear on Denver’s Week 2 practice report for Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 or Fri Sept 18, and received no final Friday game-status tag for the Sept 20 game vs. Jacksonville.
  • Practice this week: Full — unlisted all three days. Full week: not on the report Wed Sept 16 -> not on the report Thu Sept 17 -> not on the report Fri Sept 18. Unlisted equals unrestricted full participation.
  • Injury: None currently. Fully healthy with no active issue.
  • When it happened: Not applicable — there is no current injury. He was carried on the Sept 12 baseline only as an already-resolved entry and has not appeared on a 2026 regular-season injury report.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no active injury to recover from.
  • Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2). No pending return date.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars in Denver (2:05 p.m. MT, CBS). No designation, no restriction.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: healthy and available throughout, but locked into a blocking-first TE2 role behind Evan Engram. There is no path to fantasy-relevant volume unless Engram misses time. Denver’s tight end room is otherwise thin — Caleb Lohner is on the reserve list — so Trautman’s snap floor is secure.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Nate Adkins (TE3) would take the in-line blocking snaps, with Dallen Bentley (TE4) as the emergency body. Practice-squad TE Lucas Krull (DEV) would be the elevation candidate.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 — he was already marked resolved and off the injury report on the baseline, and he remains completely absent from the Week 2 report. Roster status unchanged at ACT, depth-chart position unchanged at TE2.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR league. He is a blocking tight end with no target floor. The only reason to track him is as the Evan Engram contingency — and even then, Engram’s target share would more likely be redistributed to Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle than absorbed by Trautman. Ignore in all standard formats.

Tyler Higbee — LAR (TE2 on the Ourlads depth chart (Sept 18 update) — Colby Parkinson has moved ahead of him to TE1)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (b) he does NOT appear on the Rams’ Thursday or Friday Week 2 practice reports, and no final game-status report has been filed because the Rams play Monday. NOTE ON A CONFLICTING SOURCE: Ourlads carries a ‘Q’ marker next to his name on the Sept 18 depth chart, but that marker is not supported by the Rams’ own practice report or by the league report — treat the Ourlads Q as carryover and the official report as authoritative.
  • Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point this week. Practice week for a Monday game: not listed Thu Sept 17 -> not listed Fri Sept 18. Saturday Sept 19 session outstanding.
  • Injury: None active. The practice-report entry that appeared in the Sept 9 baseline resolved before Week 1 kickoff — he was a FULL participant on the Rams’ official final Week 1 report and carried no designation.
  • When it happened: Not applicable — no active injury. The prior item was an early-September practice-report entry that closed out before Week 1.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — there is no current injury to recover from.
  • Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now, as of Friday, Sept 18, 2026.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, no designation. Monday, Sept 21, 2026 vs. the New York Giants at SoFi Stadium. The only thing worth confirming is the Saturday report, purely to close out the stray Ourlads Q marker.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 2 through 5. The story is role erosion, not injury: the Rams’ own Sept 18 depth chart now lists Colby Parkinson ahead of him, with rookie Terrance Ferguson third. A four-deep tight end room splitting snaps is not a place any single tight end sustains fantasy value.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Terrance Ferguson is the TE3 and the rookie the Rams are working into the rotation; Davis Allen is TE4 and Max Klare TE5. Colby Parkinson, already listed ahead of him, would absorb most of the vacated snaps.
  • Change since Week 1: DEPTH CHART DOWNGRADE, health unchanged. He was already marked RESOLVED in the Sept 12 baseline and remains off the injury report. What IS new: the Rams’ Sept 18 depth chart shows Colby Parkinson listed as TE1 ahead of Higbee, and Ourlads has attached an unsupported Q marker to his name that the official reports do not corroborate.

Fantasy takeaway: Bench or drop in 12-team full-PPR. He is healthy, which is the good news, but he has been passed on his own depth chart by Parkinson and is splitting a four-way room on an offense that runs through Nacua and Adams. If you are streaming a Rams tight end at all, it is Parkinson. Higbee is a name-value hold at best and a cut in leagues with tight benches.

Will Kacmarek — MIA (TE2 — second tight end behind Greg Dulcich, in-line and rotational receiving snaps)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing on Miami’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 20 game at San Francisco. The calf strain that had him listed a week ago is fully off the report.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18) and unlisted. Full week: Full Wed Sept 16 -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. He does not appear on any of Miami’s three Week 2 practice reports, which denotes full participation throughout.
  • Injury: None currently. The resolved issue was a calf strain that had him limited early in the Week 1 practice week before he reached full participation by the Friday Sept 11, 2026 final report and played.
  • When it happened: The calf strain surfaced on Miami’s Wednesday Sept 9, 2026 report ahead of the Week 1 game at Las Vegas. It resolved across that same week (Limited Wed -> Limited Thu -> Full Fri) and has not recurred.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Calf strains are graded I-III. Grade I is 1-2 weeks, grade II is 3-6 weeks, grade III is 8-12 weeks. Kacmarek’s progression — limited for two days, full by Friday, played, then completely off the report the following week — is a textbook grade I resolution. Calf strains do carry a meaningful re-injury risk if a player returns before full strength, but a clean full week is strong evidence he is past it.
  • Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Friday Sept 18, 2026. He has been symptom-free for a full practice week.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, FULLY HEALTHY. He is active and unrestricted for Miami in Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 PM ET. No designation, no listing.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5. Week 2 (Sept 20 at San Francisco) — plays, TE2 rotation. Week 3 (Sept 27 vs Kansas City) — plays. Week 4 (Oct 4 at Minnesota) — plays. Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Cincinnati) — plays, then the Week 6 bye. No health concern in the window. The only re-injury risk is the general calf-strain recurrence rate, which is elevated for roughly four weeks post-clearance.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Seydou Traore (ACT, TE3) is the direct next man up, with Justin Joly (ACT, TE4) behind him. Greg Dulcich (ACT, TE1) would absorb the receiving snaps. Tre Watson (DEV) is the practice-squad elevation option.
  • Change since Week 1: IMPROVED and now fully resolved. On the Sept 12 baseline he was an active listing — calf strain, Limited Wed -> Limited Thu -> Full Fri, no game-status designation. He is now completely off Miami’s injury report with three full practices. Reported here as cleared rather than dropped silently, per the standing rule.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft as a TE2 in a committee. His relevance is purely conditional: he is the handcuff to Greg Dulcich and the immediate waiver-wire add if Dulcich misses time, which matters more than usual because Miami’s tight end room has no veteran depth left behind him (Cole Turner on IR, Ben Sims waived). Leave him on the wire but note his name.

Theo Johnson — NYG (TE2 behind Isaiah Likely — rotational receiving tight end.)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he is entirely absent from the Giants’ FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 report for the Monday Sept 21 game at the Rams. Last week he appeared on the Week 1 report with a blank Game Status for a shoulder issue; that entry is gone and he carries no designation.
  • Practice this week: Not on the injury report this week, so no participation level is filed. Full participation Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 and Fri Sept 18 — the same clean week he had before Week 1.
  • Injury: Shoulder — now resolved. Head coach John Harbaugh said of it, ‘His shoulder was what was hurt… he’s going to be fine. He’s going to be good.’
  • When it happened: Originally hurt at a Tuesday practice in late August 2026 (preseason). It carried onto the Week 1 report as a listed shoulder item with a blank game status, and has now cleared entirely.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: A minor shoulder strain or AC-joint irritation in a tight end that never costs a practice rep typically resolves in 1-3 weeks with no lingering effect. Only a higher-grade AC separation (Grade 3+) or labral involvement would carry a multi-week timeline, and neither was indicated here — he practiced fully throughout.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2). The item is closed.
  • Next game: ACTIVE with no restriction for Week 2, Monday Sept 21, 2026 at the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium (8:15 p.m. ET), in his usual TE2 role.
  • Next four weeks: Available Weeks 2 (at LAR), 3, 4 and 5 with no health concern. His ceiling is capped by Isaiah Likely being the clear TE1, not by the shoulder.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Chris Manhertz (TE3, primarily a blocker) and Thomas Fidone II (TE4) would split the snaps behind Isaiah Likely.
  • Change since Week 1: CHANGED — now CLEARED. On Sept 12 he was on the Week 1 report with a shoulder listing and a blank Game Status despite three full practices. He is off the Week 2 report entirely.

Fantasy takeaway: Not a startable TE in a 12-team full-PPR league; waiver-wire depth at best. Reporting him as CLEARED rather than dropping him silently: the shoulder is a non-issue now. If you were holding him as a contingency on Isaiah Likely, the good news is he is fully available — but he is still the TE2 in a Giants offense that runs its tight end targets through Likely.

Kenyon Sadiq — NYJ (TE2 — second tight end behind Mason Taylor, listed second on Ourlads in the Jets’ 11-personnel base)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries NO designation and NO injury listing on the Jets’ FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 20 game vs Green Bay. The groin maintenance listing from a week ago is gone; he is entirely absent from this week’s injury report.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18) and unlisted. Full week: Full Wed Sept 16 -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. He appears on none of the Jets’ three Week 2 practice reports, which denotes full participation on every day.
  • Injury: None currently. The prior groin listing was a maintenance entry only — he was never limited in a practice, and it has now dropped off the report entirely.
  • When it happened: Not applicable to any current injury. The superseded groin maintenance listing appeared on the Jets’ Sept 9-11, 2026 Week 1 reports without ever affecting his participation, and did not recur in Week 2.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — nothing is being recovered from. A maintenance listing that never produced a limited practice and then vanishes the next week is fully resolved.
  • Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Friday Sept 18, 2026.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY (rotational), FULLY HEALTHY. He is active and unrestricted for the Jets in Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at home vs the Green Bay Packers, 1:00 PM ET. No designation, no listing.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5. Week 2 (Sept 20 vs Green Bay) — rotational TE2 snaps, with a modest case for expanded work given the Jets are down to four healthy receivers. Week 3 (Sept 27 at Detroit), Week 4 (Oct 4 at Chicago) and Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Cleveland) — same role. No health concern across the window.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Jeremy Ruckert (ACT, TE3) is the direct next man up, with Jelani Woods (ACT, TE4) behind him. Mason Taylor (ACT, TE1) would absorb the receiving snaps.
  • Change since Week 1: IMPROVED and now fully resolved. On the Sept 12 baseline he carried a groin maintenance listing with NO game-status designation while practicing full all three days. He is now completely off the Jets’ injury report with no listing at all. Reported here as cleared rather than dropped silently, per the standing rule.

Fantasy takeaway: Not startable in a 12-team full-PPR redraft as the TE2 behind Mason Taylor. He is a watch-list name only. There is a marginal speculative case in deep leagues because the Jets’ receiver room is down to four healthy bodies, which can push two-tight-end usage up — but Mason Taylor is the tight end to own here, and Taylor is the one who benefits from the thin receiver corps. Leave Sadiq on the wire.

Darnell Washington — PIT (TE2 — the blocking and heavy-package tight end behind Pat Freiermuth, with situational red-zone receiving value)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) FINAL Friday outcome. Pittsburgh carried him as a non-participant earlier in the week for non-injury personal reasons but filed NO game-status tag on the Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sept 20 road game at the New England Patriots. The club’s only final designations were CB Joey Porter Jr. out and WR Michael Pittman Jr. and OT Troy Fautanu questionable. Washington is cleared to play.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 16 -> DNP Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. The two absences were personal, not medical, and he returned to full work Friday.
  • Injury: None — non-injury absence for personal reasons. He has no medical condition listed on the Week 2 report.
  • When it happened: Not applicable — there is no injury. His two missed practices were Sept 16 and Sept 17, 2026 and were coded as personal rather than as any physical ailment.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — there is nothing to recover from. For a player missing practice time for personal reasons, the only football consideration is timing and conditioning, and two missed practices followed by a full Friday session is a negligible disruption for a tight end whose primary job is in-line blocking.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy — he was never unhealthy. He is at full participation as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2) with no physical limitation of any kind.
  • Next game: PLAYING in Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the New England Patriots. He returned to practice in full on Friday after missing two days for personal reasons and will suit up with no designation.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 2-5 with no injury risk on file. His usage is a scheme question rather than a health one — he is the No. 2 tight end behind Pat Freiermuth and his receiving work depends on how often Pittsburgh runs 12 personnel. If Michael Pittman Jr. misses extended time, Washington’s red-zone and intermediate target share should tick up across this window.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Robert Tonyan (TE3) would step into the No. 2 tight end role. Pat Freiermuth (TE1) is unaffected and remains the primary receiving tight end. Moot for Week 2 — Washington is playing.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW TO THIS REPORT. He was not on the Sept 12 baseline injury list. He appeared on the Week 2 report only as a non-injury personal absence on Wednesday and Thursday, then returned to full participation Friday and drew no designation. Included here because the midweek DNPs were widely reported as an availability question and are now definitively resolved.

Fantasy takeaway: A touchdown-dependent TE2 in 12-team full PPR and not a starter in standard-sized leagues. The personal-reasons absence created a brief scare that is now fully resolved, so do not read anything into it. The only reason to hold him is as a bye-week body or as a speculative red-zone play if Michael Pittman Jr. misses time and Pittsburgh leans harder on 12 personnel.

John Bates — WAS (TE2 behind Chig Okonkwo on the Ourlads chart — the in-line blocking tight end, and the primary beneficiary of snaps with Okonkwo out for Week 2.)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he carries no designation of any kind on Washington’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official report for the Sept 20 game vs Dallas. He does not appear on the Week 2 injury report, exactly as he did not appear on the final Week 1 report.
  • Practice this week: Not on the injury report, so no participation level is filed. Full participation Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 and Fri Sept 18.
  • Injury: None. Healthy.
  • When it happened: N/A — no current or recent injury. He is tracked here because he was on last week’s list as a resolved/no-designation player and because he is the direct beneficiary of Chig Okonkwo’s Week 1 hamstring injury of Sept 13, 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — no active injury.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2).
  • Next game: ACTIVE and effectively starting at tight end for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 vs the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET), with Chig Okonkwo ruled out.
  • Next four weeks: Available and healthy Weeks 2 (vs DAL), 3, 4 and 5. He holds the elevated blocking-plus-snaps role only while Okonkwo is out, which is likely Week 2 and possibly Week 3, then reverts to his normal complementary role.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Ben Sinnott (TE3) would take the move/receiving work and Colson Yankoff (TE4) the blocking snaps, with Jack Westover available from the practice squad. Washington would be dangerously thin at tight end in that scenario.
  • Change since Week 1: Health: no change since Sept 12 — he was off the injury report then and is off it now. Role: CHANGED, because Chig Okonkwo being ruled OUT makes Bates the de facto starting tight end for Week 2.

Fantasy takeaway: Not a viable start in a 12-team full-PPR league even with Okonkwo out. Reporting him as clear rather than dropping him silently: he will lead Washington’s tight ends in snaps on Sunday, but he is a blocking specialist whose target share does not follow his snap share. Do not stream him. If you want exposure to Okonkwo’s vacated targets, buy Terry McLaurin or Stefon Diggs instead.

Darren Waller — CAR (TE3 in the rotation but a real pass-game piece — he played 24 snaps (35 percent) in Week 1 behind Tommy Tremble (38, 56 percent) and Mitchell Evans (27, 40 percent))

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (b) he appears on Carolina’s Week 2 practice report under a veteran rest designation and carries a BLANK Game Status on the final Friday Sept 18, 2026 report. A rest day is an administrative entry, not an injury; he has no designation and is expected to play.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: DNP Wed Sept 16 (veteran rest) -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. The Wednesday DNP was a scheduled maintenance day for a 34-year-old tight end who un-retired, not an injury absence.
  • Injury: Veteran rest / load management — no diagnosed injury
  • When it happened: Not an injury. The Wednesday Sept 16, 2026 rest day is the first such entry of his 2026 season; he signed with Carolina in August 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — there is nothing to recover from. Veteran rest days for a tight end in his mid-30s typically recur roughly every other week and have no predictive value for game availability. The relevant caution is historical: Waller has a long injury history at the position, so a rest day that turns into a Thursday DNP in some future week would be the signal to worry about. This week it did not.
  • Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now — Week 2, September 2026.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY. No designation for Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Atlanta Falcons.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: expect him available every week, with periodic Wednesday rest days that should be read as noise rather than news. The thing to watch is not health but role — he is third in the tight end snap pecking order and Carolina is splitting TE work three ways, which caps everyone.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Tommy Tremble (TE1) and Mitchell Evans (TE2) would simply absorb his snaps; Feleipe Franks (TE4) would become the third body. Nobody gains enough to be fantasy-relevant.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW to this report. He did not appear on Carolina’s Sept 12 final Week 1 injury report. The only change is the addition of a veteran rest day on Sept 16, 2026, which resolved to full participation within 24 hours.

Fantasy takeaway: Not startable in 12-team full-PPR and barely rosterable. A three-way tight end committee where he is the third man is a streaming dead end. Do not react to the Wednesday DNP — it is a rest day and he is playing. If you rostered him on name value coming out of the August signing, this is a reasonable week to cut him for a waiver add.

Erick All Jr. — CIN (TE3 — third tight end behind Drew Sample and Mike Gesicki, carrying an ACT status code on the active roster)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) FINAL Friday outcome. He carries no designation of any kind and appears nowhere on the Bengals’ Sept 18, 2026 Week 2 injury report for the Sept 20 game at Houston, nor on the Wednesday or Thursday participation reports. He is a fully cleared, active-roster player.
  • Practice this week: Full and unlisted (Friday Sept 18). Full week: not listed Wed Sept 16 -> not listed Thu Sept 17 -> not listed Fri Sept 18. No practice restriction at any point this week.
  • Injury: None active. His relevant history is a prior major knee injury (ACL) from an earlier season that cost him significant time; there is no current injury.
  • When it happened: No current injury. The historical ACL injury predates the 2026 season and he completed his rehabilitation and returned to the active roster before Week 1 of 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable to any current condition. For reference, an ACL reconstruction in an NFL tight end typically runs 9-12 months to return to play and 12-18 months to return to pre-injury explosiveness and route quality. All Jr. is past both of those thresholds and is practicing without restriction.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy. He has been unrestricted since before the Week 1 opener on Sept 13, 2026, with no practice limitation across either week.
  • Next game: PLAYING and fully healthy in Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Houston Texans. No injury designation, no practice restriction. His snap count is a depth-chart question, not a health question.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 2-5. The question across this window is role, not health: he is buried behind Drew Sample as the blocking TE1 and Mike Gesicki as the receiving TE2. He would need an injury ahead of him to matter, and the athletic upside that made him a draft-day name is now competing against two established veterans.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Jack Endries (TE4) is the next man up behind him. If All Jr. were the one to go down it would barely register — Drew Sample (TE1) and Mike Gesicki (TE2) command the meaningful snaps.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12. He was already listed as off the injury report with no designation on the baseline, and that remains true — off the Wed, Thu and Fri Week 2 reports with an ACT status code. Reported here rather than dropped silently, per the cleared-player rule.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR as the TE3 in a room where Mike Gesicki owns the receiving role. He is a watchlist name only — if Gesicki were to miss time, All Jr. becomes a speculative streaming add. Until then, leave him on waivers.

Luke Schoonmaker — DAL (TE3 behind Jake Ferguson and Brevyn Spann-Ford — rotational blocking/in-line tight end.)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he is entirely absent from the Cowboys’ FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official game-status report for the Sept 20 game vs Washington. Last week he was on the Week 1 report with a blank Game Status for a Not Injury Related personal matter; that entry is gone. He is cleared with no designation of any kind.
  • Practice this week: Not on the injury report this week, so no participation level is filed. Full participation Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 and Fri Sept 18 after the personal matter that caused him to miss Thu Sept 10 and Fri Sept 11 practices resolved.
  • Injury: None — and there never was one. The Week 1 absence was Not Injury Related (a personal matter), which Dallas stated explicitly at the time.
  • When it happened: N/A — no injury. The personal absence covered Thu Sept 10 and Fri Sept 11, 2026, and is over.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: N/A — no injury to recover from. Personal/NIR absences carry no physical recovery timeline; a player is available as soon as the matter is resolved.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy and available as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2). He was never physically compromised.
  • Next game: ACTIVE with no restriction for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20 vs the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET).
  • Next four weeks: Available Weeks 2 (vs WAS), 3, 4 and 5 in his usual TE3 rotational role. No availability concern going forward.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Brevyn Spann-Ford (TE2) already plays ahead of him; James Mitchell and Michael Trigg are the practice-squad elevation options. With Princeton Fant and DJ Rogers both on IR, Dallas’s TE depth behind Ferguson is thin, which is exactly why Schoonmaker’s return matters to the club even though it means little in fantasy.
  • Change since Week 1: CHANGED — now CLEARED. On Sept 12 he was on the Week 1 report with a blank Game Status after two DNPs for a personal (Not Injury Related) matter. He is off the Week 2 report entirely.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full-PPR. Reporting him as CLEARED rather than dropping him: the only fantasy read-through is a mild negative for Jake Ferguson, since a healthy Schoonmaker plus Spann-Ford means Dallas keeps rotating two-TE looks rather than feeding Ferguson every snap. Ferguson remains a fine streaming TE1/2 regardless.

Josh Whyle — GB (TE3 — rotational tight end behind Tucker Kraft and Jonnu Smith)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) Green Bay’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official report for the Sept 20 game vs the New York Jets carries no entry for Whyle. The Week 1 stinger did not carry over into the Week 2 report.
  • Practice this week: Full — not listed on any day of the Week 2 participation report. Full week: not listed Wed, not listed Thu, not listed Fri, which by rule means unrestricted full participation.
  • Injury: Stinger (brachial plexus / cervical nerve traction injury) — resolved. He missed time during the Week 1 game with it but was never subsequently listed.
  • When it happened: Sunday Sept 13, 2026, during Green Bay’s Week 1 loss at Minnesota. He missed time in-game with the stinger. He did not appear on any day of the following week’s injury report, which indicates it resolved within days.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Stingers are the most common transient nerve injury in football and the overwhelming majority resolve within minutes to days. Symptoms — burning, numbness, transient weakness down one arm — typically clear completely. The relevant clinical rule is that a player must have full strength and full painless range of motion before returning, which Whyle evidently satisfied. Recurrent stingers in the same season warrant a cervical workup, but a single isolated episode carries essentially no lingering risk.
  • Expected back to full health: Already achieved, as of the Week 2 practice week beginning Sept 16, 2026. He is fully cleared with no restriction and no designation.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY in Week 2 vs the New York Jets on Sunday Sept 20, 2026. No designation, no practice restriction. His snap count is a function of Green Bay’s tight end rotation, not his health.
  • Next four weeks: Available for Weeks 2 through 5. The only watch item is stinger recurrence, which would be a new event rather than a continuation. His role is unlikely to grow: Tucker Kraft (45 snaps) and Jonnu Smith (32 snaps) accounted for essentially all of the meaningful Week 1 tight end usage.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Mark Redman (TE4, ACT #86) is the next man up in the rotation. Drake Dabney (DEV, #49) is the practice-squad option. Tucker Kraft and Jonnu Smith would simply absorb the handful of snaps involved, so the practical impact of his absence would be near zero.
  • Change since Week 1: NEW to the report. Whyle was not on the Sept 12 baseline injury list. He picked up a stinger during the Week 1 game on Sept 13, missed in-game time, and has since fully cleared — he appears on no day of the Week 2 participation report.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR — he is the third tight end in a room where the top two are taking nearly all the snaps. Tracked here only to record that the Week 1 in-game stinger fully resolved and produced no Week 2 designation, and because a Green Bay TE injury would matter if it climbed the depth chart. Leave him on waivers.

Andrew Ogletree — IND (TE3 — Ourlads lists him third behind Tyler Warren and Mo Alie-Cox; rotational receiving tight end)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) final Friday outcome: fully cleared, no injury and no game-status tag on Indianapolis’ official Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sept 20 game at Kansas City. He does not appear on the Week 2 report.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: Full Wed Sept 16 -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. Not listed on the Colts’ Week 2 practice report at any point.
  • Injury: None active — the neck issue carried on the Sept 12 baseline is fully resolved.
  • When it happened: Not applicable. The neck issue was logged on the Sept 11, 2026 Week 1 report (Limited Wednesday, then full) and cleared before the Sept 13 game vs Baltimore.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no active injury. The neck issue resolved within a single practice week, consistent with a stinger or minor strain rather than anything structural.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2). He cleared during Week 1 and has stayed off the report since.
  • Next game: PLAYING (active, rotational). Available Sunday Sept 20 at the Kansas City Chiefs (8:20 PM ET, Arrowhead Stadium) behind Tyler Warren and Mo Alie-Cox.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: minimal offensive role behind an every-down Tyler Warren. With Will Mallory on Reserve/Injured until at least Week 5, Ogletree holds the TE3 job, but that carries no meaningful target projection.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Practice-squad tight ends Pharaoh Brown and Kenny Fletcher Jr. would be the elevation candidates; the room is thin with Mallory and Towt both on reserve lists.
  • Change since Week 1: CHANGED — he has improved from tracked to fully clean. The Sept 12 baseline had him as ‘NO DESIGNATION – CLEARED’ with a neck issue after a Limited-then-Full week. This week he does not appear on the Colts’ injury report at any point, so the neck is entirely behind him.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR. He is a contingency body only — the one scenario that matters is a Tyler Warren injury, in which case Mo Alie-Cox likely gets the blocking snaps and Ogletree the receiving snaps, making him a marginal streamer. Ignore for now.

Seydou Traore — MIA (TE3 — third tight end behind Greg Dulcich and Will Kacmarek, a rotational/blocking role)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on Miami’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sunday Sept 20 game at San Francisco as a practice-participation entry only. Miami assigned NO Out/Doubtful/Questionable tag and he is not among the final Out/Questionable group. He is cleared to play.
  • Practice this week: Limited (Friday Sept 18). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 16 -> Limited Thu Sept 17 -> Limited Fri Sept 18. Three straight limited days but zero missed practices and no final tag — the classic managed-workload pattern for a veteran playing through minor issues.
  • Injury: Thumb and Achilles — both listed on Miami’s official report. Two separate maintenance items carried simultaneously; neither has been graded or specified by the club.
  • When it happened: Both are carryover listings that predate Week 2 — he carried the identical thumb/Achilles pairing on Miami’s FINAL Sept 11, 2026 report ahead of the Week 1 game at Las Vegas, and played in that game. The origin traces to the 2026 training-camp and preseason window, not to a Week 1 game snap.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Two different clocks. A thumb injury — sprain, jam or a non-displaced fracture played through in a cast or splint — costs a tight end essentially no time and is routinely played through, though it can degrade catch-point reliability for weeks. An Achilles issue here is plainly tendinopathy/soreness rather than a rupture, since a rupture would be a season-ending IR move and he is practicing; Achilles tendinopathy is a chronic, weeks-to-months management problem that produces exactly this limited-every-day-but-never-out pattern. Neither, in this presentation, projects to cost him games.
  • Expected back to full health: Genuinely indefinite as a maintenance matter. The thumb should be a non-issue within 2-4 weeks (early-to-mid October 2026). The Achilles soreness is likely to be managed all season with limited practice reps rather than ‘cured’ at a fixed date. Practically: he is available now and expected to stay available.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY. He is active for Miami in Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 PM ET. No game-status designation was filed, and Miami’s only final tags are Ronnie Harrison (OUT, hamstring), Chop Robinson (OUT, concussion) and Tucker Addington (QUESTIONABLE, shoulder).
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5. Week 2 (Sept 20 at San Francisco) — plays, rotational snaps. Week 3 (Sept 27 vs Kansas City) — expect the same limited-practice, plays-on-Sunday pattern. Week 4 (Oct 4 at Minnesota) and Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Cincinnati) — same. Miami’s Week 6 bye will help the Achilles more than anything else in this window. The listing is very likely to persist on every weekly report without ever producing an absence.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Justin Joly (ACT) is TE4 and the direct next man up. Will Kacmarek (ACT, TE2) would absorb the blocking snaps and Greg Dulcich (ACT, TE1) the receiving snaps. Tre Watson (DEV) is the practice-squad emergency option. With Cole Turner on Reserve/Injured and Ben Sims waived off IR entirely, Miami’s tight end room has no veteran slack left, which is precisely why Traore keeps practicing limited instead of resting.
  • Change since Week 1: Essentially no change in status since Sept 12 — same thumb/Achilles listing, same no-designation outcome, same availability. One detail DID change: on the Sept 11 final report he practiced FULL all three days, whereas this week he has been LIMITED on all three days (Wed/Thu/Fri). That is a mild downtick in practice participation, but it did not produce a game-status tag and he is still expected to play.

Fantasy takeaway: No fantasy relevance in a 12-team full-PPR redraft — he is a TE3 in a committee behind Dulcich and Kacmarek and will not see consistent targets. Do not roster him. The only reason he matters is roster math: Miami is down to four healthy tight ends, so if Dulcich were to go down, the Miami TE room becomes genuinely thin and Kacmarek, not Traore, would be the waiver add.

Oscar Delp — NO (TE3 (rookie) behind Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant)

  • Status: NO GAME-STATUS DESIGNATION — (a) he appears on New Orleans’ FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official report with a BLANK Game Status column after a Friday full practice. Stating this plainly: blank means no designation and he is cleared to play at Baltimore on Sunday Sept 20.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: Limited Wed Sept 16 -> Limited Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. The Limited-Limited-Full progression is the textbook clean-clearance pattern.
  • Injury: Hamstring strain
  • When it happened: Surfaced in early September 2026 during Week 1 preparation — he was a DNP on the Sept 11 practice report and was ruled Out for the Sept 13 opener at Detroit, missing his would-be NFL debut.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Hamstring strains: Grade 1 typically 1-3 weeks, Grade 2 typically 3-6 weeks. A one-game absence followed by a Limited-Limited-Full progression the next week is the signature of a Grade 1 strain that has fully settled. Residual recurrence risk persists for roughly 4-6 weeks, which for a rookie tight end mostly means the club will avoid spiking his snap count early.
  • Expected back to full health: Fully healthy now — Friday Sept 18, 2026, Week 2.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY. No designation for Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the Baltimore Ravens. This will be his NFL regular-season debut.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: available throughout barring re-aggravation. His role is the limiter, not his health — he is the third tight end behind an established TE1 in Juwan Johnson and a veteran move tight end in Noah Fant, with Moliki Matavao on season-ending IR and Treyton Welch also on the active roster. Expect situational and blocking snaps.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Treyton Welch (TE4) would take the third tight end snaps, with Stone Smartt (practice squad / DEV) as an elevation candidate. Juwan Johnson (TE1) and Noah Fant (TE2) hold all the meaningful pass-game work regardless.
  • Change since Week 1: CHANGED — upgraded from OUT to no designation. On the Sept 12 baseline he was a DNP carrying a FINAL Friday OUT tag for Week 1. He practiced all three days this week and finished Full on Friday.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full-PPR. Cleared, debuting, and third on the tight end depth chart is not a fantasy profile. Report him as healthy and move on. His only relevance is as a deep-dynasty name if Juwan Johnson were to miss time.

Ben Sinnott — WAS (TE3 on the published order behind Chig Okonkwo and John Bates, but promoted into a meaningful rotational receiving role for Week 2 by Okonkwo’s absence.)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) he is entirely absent from Washington’s FINAL Friday Sept 18, 2026 official report for the Sept 20 game vs Dallas. Last week he carried an oblique listing with a blank Game Status; that entry is gone and he has no designation.
  • Practice this week: Not on the injury report this week, so no participation level is filed. Full participation Wed Sept 16, Thu Sept 17 and Fri Sept 18, following three full practices in Week 1 prep as well.
  • Injury: Oblique strain — now resolved. It never reduced his practice participation.
  • When it happened: Listed during the Week 1 practice week (Sept 9-11, 2026) with full participation on all three days. The item has cleared and he is off the Week 2 report.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Oblique/abdominal strains: Grade 1 roughly 1-3 weeks, Grade 2 roughly 4-6 weeks, Grade 3 8+ weeks. Obliques are deceptive because they are aggravated by rotation and blocking, so they often linger longer than the grade suggests. A player who practices fully throughout and then comes off the report has a Grade 1 at worst, now resolved.
  • Expected back to full health: Already at full health as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2). The item is closed.
  • Next game: ACTIVE with no restriction for Week 2, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 vs the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium (4:25 p.m. ET), and in line for expanded snaps with Chig Okonkwo ruled out.
  • Next four weeks: Available Weeks 2 (vs DAL), 3, 4 and 5. His elevated role lasts only as long as Okonkwo is out — likely Weeks 2 and possibly 3, after which he reverts to TE3. Obliques can recur under blocking loads, so a heavier snap count carries modest re-aggravation risk.
  • Who benefits if he sits: John Bates (TE2) would take the receiving reps alongside his blocking role, with Colson Yankoff (TE4) elevated in the rotation and Jack Westover available off the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: CHANGED on both counts. Health: he was on the Sept 12 report with an oblique and a blank Game Status after three full practices; he is now off the report entirely — CLEARED. Role: Chig Okonkwo being ruled OUT promotes him into real snaps for the first time this season.

Fantasy takeaway: Reporting him as CLEARED rather than dropping him silently. He is the most interesting of Washington’s Okonkwo replacements because he is the move/receiving tight end while John Bates is the blocker — but ‘most interesting’ is a low bar here. In a 12-team full-PPR league he is a desperation streamer only if you have a bye-week hole and nothing else; the redistributed targets are far more likely to go to Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs than to any Washington tight end. Leave him on waivers in standard formats.

Davis Allen — LAR (TE4 on the Ourlads depth chart (Sept 18 update) — a notable slide behind Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee and Terrance Ferguson)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (b) he carries NO entry on the Rams’ Thursday or Friday Week 2 practice reports and therefore no designation. Head coach Sean McVay confirmed on Sept 14 that Allen was evaluated for a concussion and RETURNED to the Melbourne game, calling the update ‘positive.’ No final game-status report exists yet for the Rams’ Monday game, but he is not on it.
  • Practice this week: Full participant and not listed on the report at any point this week. Practice week for a Monday game: not listed Thu Sept 17 -> not listed Fri Sept 18. Saturday Sept 19 session outstanding, but a player absent from two straight reports is not going to appear on the final one.
  • Injury: Head injury / concussion evaluation — resolved. He was checked in the medical tent and cleared back into the game, which means he never entered the league’s concussion protocol as a diagnosed concussion.
  • When it happened: Thursday, Sept 10, 2026 — third quarter of the Week 1 game in Melbourne. He was hit by Dre Greenlaw and Ji’Ayir Brown after a reception and was taken to the medical tent for evaluation.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: A diagnosed NFL concussion averages 6-12 days in protocol and costs zero to two games. An in-game evaluation that clears and returns costs nothing at all — by rule, a player who returns to the same game was not concussed. Allen is in the latter category.
  • Expected back to full health: Already there — fully healthy as of the Sept 14 McVay update, confirmed by two clean practice reports this week.
  • Next game: WILL PLAY, no designation, in his normal rotational role. Monday, Sept 21, 2026 vs. the New York Giants at SoFi Stadium.
  • Next four weeks: Healthy and available Weeks 2 through 5. Health is not his problem; the depth chart is. The Rams’ Sept 18 depth chart has him fourth behind Parkinson, Higbee and rookie Terrance Ferguson, which caps his snaps in a room that is already too crowded to support any single fantasy tight end.
  • Who benefits if he sits: N/A — he is healthy. For completeness, Max Klare is the TE5 on the active roster and Dan Villari is on the practice squad.
  • Change since Week 1: CLEARED. The Sept 12 baseline had him as an unresolved post-game head injury with conflicting reports on whether he returned to the Melbourne game. McVay resolved it on Sept 14: Allen was evaluated, cleared and DID return. He has not appeared on any Week 2 injury report.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full-PPR. The concussion scare is over, but so is any case for him as a fantasy asset — he is the TE4 on a team that splits tight end snaps four ways. Colby Parkinson is the only Rams tight end worth streaming, and even he is a desperation play. Drop Allen if you speculatively added him.

Brevin Jordan — HOU (TE5 — rotational, primarily a depth and special-teams body behind Schultz, Moreau, Klein and Stover)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (a) final Friday outcome: fully cleared, no injury and no game-status tag on Houston’s official Sept 18, 2026 report for the Sept 20 game vs Cincinnati.
  • Practice this week: Full (Friday Sept 18). Full week: Full Wed Sept 16 -> Full Thu Sept 17 -> Full Fri Sept 18. Not listed on the Texans’ Week 2 practice report at any point.
  • Injury: None active — the August 2026 knee issue that had him day-to-day is fully resolved.
  • When it happened: Not applicable. The August 2026 knee issue resolved before the regular season; he was released at the 53-man cutdown and re-signed on Sept 1, 2026 when Houston placed OT Braden Smith on Reserve/Injured.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Not applicable — no active injury.
  • Expected back to full health: Already fully healthy as of Friday Sept 18, 2026 (Week 2).
  • Next game: PLAYING (active roster, rotational snaps). Available Sunday Sept 20 vs the Cincinnati Bengals (1:00 PM ET, Houston), but behind three tight ends on the target hierarchy.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5: minimal offensive role. He is TE5 in a room where Dalton Schultz absorbs the overwhelming majority of the passing-game work. Only a Schultz or Moreau injury changes this.
  • Who benefits if he sits: Cade Stover and Marlin Klein are the interchangeable depth; practice-squad TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden is the emergency elevation.
  • Change since Week 1: No change since Sept 12 on health — he was already logged as resolved. Roster note for accuracy: he is confirmed ACT on the Sept 18 nfl.com roster pull, having been re-signed Sept 1 after the cutdown.

Fantasy takeaway: Not rosterable in 12-team full PPR. Zero standalone value behind Schultz. Ignore entirely.

Ben Sims — MIA (No longer on the roster — he held no depth-chart role as of the Sept 18, 2026 pull and is not on the active roster, the reserve lists or the practice squad)

  • Status: RESOLVED — (c) a roster-list change that supersedes his prior injury status. He is GONE from Miami entirely: the Dolphins waived him from Reserve/Injured with an injury settlement on Sept 10, 2026. He therefore holds no reserve status, no game status and no practice status with Miami. This is a CORRECTION to the Sept 12 baseline, which still carried him as RES.
  • Practice this week: Not reported and not applicable — he is not a member of the Miami Dolphins and appears on no Miami practice or injury report for Week 2. Full week: no participation Wed Sept 16 / Thu Sept 17 / Fri Sept 18 because he is not on the team.
  • Injury: Undisclosed — Miami never specified the injury that put him on IR. An injury settlement by definition covers a short-term injury the club judged would heal within a defined number of weeks, which implies a minor-to-moderate issue rather than a season-ending one.
  • When it happened: During Miami’s 2026 training camp or preseason, prior to the early-September roster cutdown that landed him on Reserve/Injured. The settlement and release followed on Sept 10, 2026.
  • Typical recovery for this injury: Unquantifiable without a diagnosis, but the settlement mechanism is informative: clubs settle when the expected recovery is short enough that carrying the player on IR all season is not worth it. That points to a matter of weeks. Once the settlement period elapses he is free to sign anywhere, though he cannot re-sign with Miami until the settlement term plus six weeks has passed.
  • Expected back to full health: Likely healthy sometime in October 2026 based on the settlement mechanism, but he is a free agent and there is no club report tracking him. Any return to an NFL field depends on a new signing, not on a Miami timeline.
  • Next game: NOT ON THE ROSTER. He will not play in Miami’s Week 2 game, Sunday Sept 20, 2026 at the San Francisco 49ers, because he is not a Miami Dolphin. He is an unsigned free agent.
  • Next four weeks: Weeks 2-5. He is unavailable for Week 2 (Sept 20 at San Francisco), Week 3 (Sept 27 vs Kansas City), Week 4 (Oct 4 at Minnesota) and Week 5 (Oct 11 vs Cincinnati) as a free agent. He cannot re-sign with Miami during the settlement window. Any NFL appearance in this stretch would require another club to sign him off the street.
  • Who benefits if he sits: N/A — his roster spot has already been fully absorbed. Justin Joly (ACT) occupies the TE4 role that Sims would have competed for, behind Greg Dulcich, Will Kacmarek and Seydou Traore. Tre Watson (DEV) is the practice-squad body.
  • Change since Week 1: MAJOR CORRECTION to the Sept 12 baseline. The baseline listed him as ‘MIA TE Ben Sims | RESERVE/INJURED — status code RES on the nfl.com roster.’ That is no longer accurate and in fact was already out of date when the baseline was written: Miami waived him from IR with an injury settlement on Sept 10, 2026, two days before the baseline date. He does not appear anywhere on the Sept 18, 2026 nfl.com Miami roster. Remove him from all Miami depth charts.

Fantasy takeaway: Zero fantasy relevance in any format — he is not on an NFL roster. The actionable point for a 12-team full-PPR manager is the second-order effect: Miami’s tight end room is now four deep with no veteran insurance behind Greg Dulcich (Turner on IR, Sims gone). That makes Will Kacmarek a more valuable speculative add than usual if Dulcich ever gets dinged.

Rosters and depth charts for all 32 teams were verified against official league roster pages before this report was compiled, and every player listed was confirmed to be on the roster shown. Designations come from the final official club and league injury reports filed Friday, September 18, 2026. Recovery timelines describe how long a class of injury typically sidelines an NFL player and are not a prediction for any individual.
