Heaven Below Performance At 2020 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Celebrity Charity Gala

The Metal Hall of Fame held the Annual Hall Metal Hall of Fame Gala on January 15, 2020 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, CA. It is dedicated to forever enshrining the iconic musicians and music industry executives responsible for making hard rock and heavy metal music what it is today. Though their contribution to the genre is invaluable, these inductees continue to inspire fans throughout the world from generation to generation. It is part of the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities), which provides free therapy services for disabled children and their families in hospitals and community centers throughout the United States.

The 2020 edition of the Gala featured a red carpet entry for inductees and performers, induction ceremonies and acceptance speeches, and once in a lifetime live performances. The event also featured a pre-party concert in the outdoor courtyard, one of the benefits of living in Southern California in the winter.

The headliner for the pre-gala concert was Heaven Below, a Los Angeles band featuring Patrick Kennison (Lita Ford) on vocals and guitar. The group currently consists of Kennison, John Younger on bass, Shad Wilhelm on drums and Nikki Stringfield on guitar.

The annual DIMEBASH is an all-star jam honoring the life and legacy of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, the late co-founder and guitarist of Pantera and Damageplan, and the unofficial kickoff party for the NAMM convention. Jose Mangin and Riki Rachtman co-hosted the event on January 16, 2020 at The Observatory OC in Santa Ana, California.

Over 5 incredible hours, artists from dozens of bands rotated on and off the stage, performing 40 songs, including Pantera classics and other legendary tunes. Sadly, this event now also honors the late Vinnie Paul, drummer of Pantera, Damageplan and Hellyeah, and Dimebag’s brother. Both men were more than stellar musicians, they were incredible human beings who brought light into so many lives. It is no surprise that their musical peers and friends show up in droves to honor their memory by playing their songs, and sharing their love for these two giants.

The one-of-a-kind lineup featured members of Accept, Act Of Defiance, Anthrax, Armored Saint, Bad Wolves, Bad Guys Wear Black, Broken Hope, Butcher Babies, Cody Jinks, Crowbar, Cypress Hill, Dylan Rose, Foo Fighters, Grim Reaper, Hatebreed, Hellyeah, In Flames, In This Moment, Iron Maidens, Kill Devil Hill, King Diamond, King’s X, Kyng, Lamb of God, Lita Ford, Pearl, Prong, Sebastian Bach, Sepultura, Stone Sour, The Haunted, Testament, Tyr, Vio-Lence and more, including the debut of Revel Ian, son of Scott Ian and Pearl Aday.

Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin kicked things off on lead vocals, performing the second song from all over the crowd, as fans surfed him from the front of the house all the way back to the stage. He also shared emotional speeches about the power of music and love and gratitude. Riki Rachtman also told stories from his days on MTV’s Headbangers Ball, where he was forced to call him “Diamond” Darrell instead of “Dimebag” due to outrageous censorship.

Ron Williams of RONZ WORLD Custom Painted Guitars delivered yet another amazing original piece, which was auctioned off, as the winner was chosen by Rita Haney, Dime’s longtime girlfriend and keeper of his legacy. Proceeds from the event will benefit music education and animal rescues.

After the show, VIP guests were able to join the artists backstage to enjoy Back Beat BBQ, which none other than Dave Grohl himself had been cooking since 8:00 that morning. This was the best pulled pork and ribs that I have ever eaten. Is there nothing this man cannot do? All in all, it was an emotional, empowering evening of entertainment and excess.

ALICE COOPER ANNOUNCES SUMMER 2020 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

TOUR FEATURES TESLA AND SPECIAL GUEST LITA FORD

Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper has announced his Summer 2020 tour plans. Cooper will be touring North America with Tesla and special guest Lita Ford. Cooper has extended his “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back” show, which debuted in the Summer of 2019, into 2020.The Summer 2020 leg of the tour kicks off May 30 and runs through June 27.

It follows the Spring 2020 leg, which launches on March 31 in Niagara Falls, Ontario and runs through April 22 in Portland, Oregon. The April 1—22 concerts feature special guest Lita Ford and include several stops in Canada.

All North American Alice Cooper tour dates are below. Tickets are available here. Tickets for all shows go on sale January 24, except for St Louis, which will go on sale shortly.

In other Alice Cooper news, the artist released his The Breadcrumbs EP, a tribute to some of the garage rock heroes from his hometown Detroit, last year via earMUSIC. Inspired by the city’s punk scene in the late ’60s and early ’70s, the Detroit-born icon returned to his roots and the raw garage sound his fans love. Alice and Ezrin are also working on a full-length album that follows up The Breadcrumbs EP and is also inspired by the Detroit rock scene.

Music icon, reality TV star and life-long Type 1 Diabetic BRET MICHAELS is extending his “UNBROKEN WORLD TOUR” to include a series of HOMETOWN HEROES special events concerts kicking off November 6 in Casper, Wyoming at the Casper Event Center Arena. He’s bringing a multi genre combo of different artists to each town in celebration of Veteran’s Day and to kick off the holiday season. The Poison frontman (whose shows have been described as “full-on fan engaged events”) will be joined by rock/pop acts Night Ranger (“Sister Christian,” “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”) , Lita Ford (“Kiss Me Deadly,” “Close Your Eyes””) Firehouse (“Love Of Lifetime”) with country superstars Joe Nichols (“Tequila Makes Her Clothes Come Off,” “Sunny and 75″) and Joe Diffie (“John Deere Greene,” “Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox”) making special appearances at select shows.

Beyond the music, each concert–headlined by MICHAELS, the son of a veteran–will raise awareness and funds for local charities while honoring local “heroes” (local active military, veterans, teachers, first responders and fans) as the nation celebrates Veteran’s Day.

“While on tour, every night I bring local heroes up on-stage to honor them during the show and we’ll continue to do so at these shows. He was a veteran and a role model to his community, he received military honors at his service that was witnessed by family members and friends at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. He taught me the importance of a strong work ethic and to face adversity, pick yourself up and get back at it when life challenges you.”

Produced by Red Rock Productions who’ve partnered with MICHAELS (whose charitable donations in every city he performs in have become well-known), the multi-city tour launches November 6 in Casper, Wyoming before heading to Sioux City, IA (November 8), Cedar Rapids, IA (November 9), Independence, MO (November 10), and November 11 in Park City, KS. The 13th annual Rocklahoma wrapped another successful weekend Friday, May 24, Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 at Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK. America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party had its biggest year yet, with over 77,000 on hand to witness memorable performances from some of today’s top rock artists, including Korn, Disturbed, Shinedown, and more.

Rocklahoma 2019 featured 56 bands on three stages over three days, led by headliners Korn, Disturbed, and Shinedown, along with Bush, Seether, In This Moment, Steel Panther, Jackyl, Asking Alexandria, Tech N9NE, Blackberry Smoke, Buckcherry, Beartooth, Sevendust, Black Stone Cherry, Avatar, Fever 333, Lita Ford, Palaye Royale, Ace Frehley, The Steel Woods, New Years Day, Bad Wolves, The Glorious Sons, Light The Torch, Alien Weaponry, Hyro The Hero, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, and more.

Fans were invited to bid on autographed guitars that were being signed by Rocklahoma artists all weekend long. The festival’s annual guitar auction raised $46,500 for local Oklahoma charities.

Rocklahoma also featured a variety of unique attractions, including: Rock, Brews & BBQ, The Roadhouse, Budweiser Clydesdales, Torchy’s Taco Bar, Rock 66 Marketplace, Vandalism Graffiti Art Project, Risk – Graffiti Art, Monster Energy Lounge, and the annual “Miss Rocklahoma” competition, where Heatherlee won the title of Miss Rocklahoma 2019.

The Hall of Heavy Metal History Announces Final Inductees List for 2019 Metal Hall of Fame Gala

To be Awarded at the Annual Metal Hall of Fame Gala, Taking Place January 23, 2019 @ Marriott Delta Garden Grove, Anaheim, CA

The annual Hall of Heavy Metal History‘s Metal Hall of Fame Gala will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, CA. The event will be hosted by iconic television, radio personality and heavy metal champion Eddie Trunk, and will feature appearances by heavy metal greats of today and years past. The Metal Hall of Fame Gala is quickly solidifying itself as the most important night in rock and metal!

The event will feature performances by legendary drummers and Hall of Heavy Metal History inductees Carmine Appice and Vinny Appice, as well as a performance by hard rock/punk icon Jean Beauvoir. Los Angeles heavy rock/metal group Budderside will open the show.

The event will also feature the premiere/free screening of Cleopatra Entertainment’s new film Band vs. Brand before the gala begins. Several celebrities from the film will be present at the screening.

Please note event times have changed: Doors open at 4:30 PM, and a red carpet will take place from 5:00-7:00 PM. The free screening of Band vs. Brand will take place from 7:00-8:00 PM, and the gala/induction ceremony will begin at 8:00 PM with Budderside‘s performance.
