Louisville, KY – It’s about to get LOUD in Louisville as the long-running, fan favorite festival Louder Than Life returns for its 10th year in 2024! Producers Danny Wimmer Presents – one of the largest independent promoters in the U.S. – pulled out all the stops to celebrate a decade of Louder Than Life, North America’s Largest Rock Festival, including the mighty return of thrash gods Slayer to the stage. In addition to their headlining performance, Loudmouths can also look forward to metal heavyweights Mötley Crüe, Slipknot and Korn closing out additional nights of the four-day event, which returns to its home at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY September 26, 27, 28 & 29, 2024.

Five full stages will keep the destination event amped up all weekend, welcoming additional performances from Disturbed, Judas Priest, Five Finger Death Punch, Evanescence, Falling in Reverse, Breaking Benjamin, The Offspring, Staind, Till Lindemann, Chevelle, Dropkick Murphys, Halestorm, Gojira, Seether, In This Moment, Anthrax, Sum 41, Mastodon, Tom Morello, and many more. Louder Than Life Celebrates 10 Years With The Mighty Return Of Slayer, Mötley Crüe, Slipknot & Korn first appeared on Game On Media.

Guitar virtuoso Nita Strauss provided direct support for Wolfgang Van Halen and his band Mammoth WVH inside the House of Blues at Downtown Disney in Orlando, Florida on November 22, 2023. Strauss featured songs from her new album, “The Call of the Void”.

Nita Strauss has been performing with Alice Cooper for the past decade, while maintaining a solo career as well. Her 2018 album “Controlled Chaos” contained all full band instrumentals. Her latest effort features several guest vocalists, including Alissa White-Gluz, Lzzy Hale, Dorothy, Lilith Czar, Chris Motionless, David Draiman, Anders Friden and Alice Cooper.

The show opened with 5 blistering instrumental numbers, culminating in a drum solo by Nita’s drummer and fiance Josh Villalta. Bassist Christopher Dean, guitarist Johnny Young and keyboardist Katt Scarlett combined to provide a driving wave of metal sounds, which Strauss surfed with precision and joy. Her signature Ibanez guitar sang, cried and screamed at every movement of her magical fingers.

The second half of the set featured songs from “The Call of the Wild”. Deadlands vocalist Kasey Karlsen stepped in to deliver the vocals recorded by some of the icons listed above. She did an incredible job on all of the songs, elevating the overall show.

Nita took advantage of the venue being located at Disney Springs, and took the stage wearing Minnie Mouse ears. That is a very common sight in Orlando, but not as often seen on a rock and roll stage. Her choice and her sly smile immediately set the tone for an engaging performance.

Evanescence and Halestorm, supported by Lilith Czar, finished off the last week of their fall tour, which had to be rescheduled due to Covid concerns. Neither wicked winter weather nor tragic tour bus fires could stop this show from happening.

Halestorm continues to elevate their stage show, showcasing the passion and talent that have brought them to the top of the rock world over the past decade. Lzzy Hale, Arejay Hale, Joe Hottinger and Josh Smith go above and beyond in delivering hit after hit. Not many bands today add solos and extended jams to their songs, but Halestorm the band has an old soul, and a reverence for classic rock grandeur.

Amy Lee and Evanescence took the stage determined to continue the spirit and spectacle laid down before them. Will Hunt, Tim McCord, Troy McLawhorn and Jen Majura are the perfect complement to Amy Lee’s shifts from quiet piano player to ethereal rock singer.

Gathering together these days as a rock community feels more precious and special than it ever has. This is just as true for the artists and their crews as it is for the fans. The highlights of the night were Amy Lee singing along on “Break In” with Lzzy Hale on piano, and Lzzy returning the favor while Amy played piano on Linkin Park’s “Heavy”.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to buy early and save as pass prices increase in throughout the coming months based on level quantities.  A limited number of specially priced tickets for military personnel are on sale now via GovX.

Welcome To Rockville campers get the ultimate experience, spending five days on the festival field right in the middle of all the action and with the quickest access to all the stages. Amenities include indoor restrooms and showers, in and out privileges, and a general store for supplies. A limited number of Weekend Camping Packages are available for both car and tent and RVs. Admission to the festival is not included in Weekend Camping Packages and must be purchased separately.

Welcome To Rockville VIP pass holders will receive a commemorative VIP laminate and wristband, dedicated entrance lanes into the festival, entrance into VIP areas, and access to dedicated viewing areas throughout the festival. The VIP section boasts shaded hang areas with dedicated bars, comfortable furniture, audio and video streams of the main stages, a dedicated merchandise stand, dedicated locker rental with charging capabilities, air conditioned and flushable restrooms, and premium food and drink offerings (for additional purchase).

The Daytona Owners Club VIP option is new in 2022. As a Welcome To Rockville “owner,” those choosing this pass option will truly be living like a ROCK STAR. In addition to being a festival VIP, Daytona Owners Club pass-holders will also receive exclusive access to an air-conditioned lounge with live audio and video of the main stages, a shaded viewing deck, unlimited complimentary drinks at dedicated bars throughout the Owners Club, complimentary hors d’oeuvres during lunch and dinner hours, dedicated WiFi, access to a main stage viewing area, owner locker rental with charging capabilities, dedicated air-conditioned, flushable bathrooms and concierge staff.  Current pass holders will have first rights to sign up for the waitlist, which is open now.  The Daytona Owners Club will go on sale to the public after the exclusive pass holder pre-sale, which is happening the week of December 13.

Evanescence and Halestorm Add Dates to Fall Tour

Denver, Tampa, Nashville, Minneapolis shows added

Evanescence and Halestorm are currently preparing to kick off one of the biggest arena tours of the year and have just added additional dates in Denver, Tampa, Nashville, and Minneapolis. The tour, which kicks off November 5^th in Portland, Oregon, is slated to be one of the biggest female-fronted tours in years.

The four new dates will go on-sale this Friday, September 10, at 10am local time at evanescence.com and halestormrocks.com. Limited VIP packages will be available for purchase that include premium seating, access to attend Evanescence’s Soundcheck followed by a moderated Q&A with the band, exclusive merchandise items, and more.

Earlier in 2021, Evanescence released The Bitter Truth, their first album in 10 years, which the LA Times called their “fiercest songs to date.” Current single “Better Without You” is their first Top 10 Rock Radio track in ten years, and previous single “Use My Voice” is currently nominated for “Best Rock” at the MTV Video Music Awards. It’s the second year in a row that Evanescence has scored a Best Rock nomination, as well as the second year in a row that they are the sole female-fronted act nominated in the category.

Last month, Halestorm released “Back From The Dead,” their first new music since 2018’s Vicious. Called a “biting but cathartic howler” by Rolling Stone, the song quickly achieved the most first week streams to date for the band and debuted at #5 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Digital Song Sales.” “‘Back From The Dead is pure, full-throttle hard-rock – with a mandate-from-the-gods riff, wall-shaking drums and a climactic electric guitar solo from Joe Hottinger,” praised Guitar World. The video for the song, which surpassed a million views a week after its premiere, is here: https://youtu.be/srT0pgC_yto.
