M3 Rock Festival is about to celebrate  the announcement of its 15th year at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Fifteen years of rock n’ roll; 15 years of fellowship and fandom, and 15 years of unforgettable performances. It’s time to ‘Take Hold Of The Flame’ with another jam-packed weekend of internationally-renowned hard rock and heavy metal on May 4th and May 5th, 2024.  Tickets are on sale Friday, Dec. 15 at 10 am EST through ticketmaster.com.

M3 Rock Festival 2024 kicks off Saturday, May 4th with performances from Queensrÿche, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, Last In Line, Quiet Riot, Lynch Mob, Doro, Aldo Nova, Child’s Play, Fan Halen, and more.

The two day festival continues on Sunday, May 5th, featuring performances by Night Ranger, Stryper, Y&T, Faster Pussycat, Cold Sweat, Pretty Boy Floyd, and Sun Dogs before closing out the night with a full headlining set by Bret Michaels and special guest Dee Snider with a once-in-a-lifetime M3 exclusive encore jam session featuring anyone and everyone from this year’s lineup.

“I’m truly excited to be back at M3,” said Bret Michaels, Sunday’s headliner. “It’s a great rock festival, and I promise you I’m bringing all killer hits, no filler, and a big show! I want the fans to unleash their inner Rockstar.”

Over the past 15 years, M3 has become more than a festival; it’s an ‘80s arena rock experience. Drawing diehard fans from six continents, 30 countries, and every state, M3 has evolved into an annual pilgrimage for those who grew up with ‘80s rock (a genre of music now referred to as the “new classic rock”) as well as for younger fans who embrace the fun and excitement of the glam metal era.

The album has universal appeal on the surface and depth where needed. Most of all I am thrilled about how the writing of this album was truly a collaboration between all of us and certainly nothing that could have been done any other way. This album makes a statement that LIL can be seen as an original band in its own right.” Last In Line was formed in 2011, when Vinny Appice, Jimmy Bain, and Vivian Campbell, (Ronnie James Dio’s co-conspirators and co-writers on the “Holy Diver”, “Last In Line” – the album from which they took their name, and “Sacred Heart” albums) teamed up with esteemed vocalist Andrew Freeman. The debut album “Heavy Crown” was released in February 2016, landing at #1 on the Billboard Heat-Seekers Chart. Initially, the release had been preceded by tragedy when bassist Jimmy Bain unexpectedly passed away at the age of 68 on January 23, 2016. Last In Line, honoring what they knew would be Bain’s wish to keep the band moving, brought in renowned bassist Phil Soussan (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) and committed to sustained touring in support of the album, hitting festivals, headlining clubs, and sharing the stage with metal luminaries such as Saxon and Megadeth. In late 2017, the band gathered in L.A. to start the recording of the second album, which was produced by the band members and Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, The End Machine, ex-Dokken), who also produced the debut album. Having really gelled as a band while touring in support of the debut album, the songwriting came readily to the members. They’ve created a record that shows a big progression in sound, while immediately being recognizable as Last In Line thanks to Vinny Appice’s rhythms, thunderous bass from Soussan, amazing vocals from Andrew Freeman, and the roaring guitars of Vivian Campbell.
