Rough Riot played their second live show at the Ramona Mainstage in Ramona, California on January 5, 2019. The band consists of former members of Rough Cutt and Quiet Riot, who have recorded and performed live in many other bands, including Ratt, Dokken, Lynch Mob, Queensryche, House of Lords, Montrose, King Kobra and Burning Rain.

Rough Riot is Paul Shortino: Lead Vocals, Carlos Cavaso: Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Chris Hager: Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Sean McNabb: Bass, (Rockin’) Dave Alford: Drums & Percussion.

The band sounds great, as you would expect from seasoned hard rock veterans.  They really gel together, whether it’s McNabb and Alford supplying backing vocals, or Cavaso and Hager trading guitar solos. Shortino’s vocals are top notch, and he could probably sing any song. They play a mix of Rough Cutt tunes and songs from throughout the entire Quiet Riot catalog. They have plans to write and record new music, which will be a welcome addition to the set list. This is definitely a band to keep an eye on, if you like your 80’s hair metal with a modern twist.
