DANKO JONES Announces U.S. West Coast Tour Dates

Having just completed the first leg of an extensive European arena tour with Volbeat, DANKO JONES has announced several shows in California that will take place in February – the acclaimed Canadian trio’s first American concerts since the release of their latest album, “A Rock Supreme.” Support at each of the performances will be provided by the long-running L.A. hard rock act Junkyard. Since the April release of “A Rock Supreme,” which was produced by Garth “Gggarth” Richardson (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Rise Against, Biffy Clyro), DANKO JONES has toured extensively around the globe, but the February dates with Junkyard represent the first leg of what is expected to be the group’s most extensive American tour in several years. “Fists Up High” has been a staple of DANKO JONES’ recent live performances, and the group plans to continue playing the song when their European tour with Volbeat resumes in Warsaw, Poland on Oct. 29. In addition, guitarist/vocalist Danko Jones will continue to join Volbeat to perform their recent hit “Black Rose,” a song to which Jones contributed guest vocals.

New album ‘A Rock Supreme’ due April 26; U.S. tour wraps up in Seattle

(Las Vegas, Nevada) – As they finish their first U.S. tour in five years in Seattle, the Canadian hard rock trio DANKO JONES has unveiled the Amir Chamdin-directed music video for their latest single, “Dance Dance Dance.” The clip can be seen HERE.

Chamdin, an award-winning Swedish filmmaker who has previously helmed videos for the likes of Ghost and The Hellacopters, shot “Dance Dance Dance” last month in Stockholm and created something truly unique by combining two vastly different art forms – DANKO JONES’ signature style of fist-pumping rock with an incredible single-take dancehall-inspired clip.

As longtime fans of his work, the members of DANKO JONES were excited to collaborate with Chamdin and gave him free reign to bring his vision of their song to life. Says front man Danko Jones, “We are excited to finally have Amir Chamdin directing the video for our new single, ‘Dance Dance Dance.’ We’ve been a huge fan of Amir’s work for years now, and waiting to work with him was all worth it.”

Danko Jones played the Observatory North Park in San Diego, California on Sunday, February 10, 2019. The trio from Toronto was grateful for the chance to share an evening with true fans of rock and roll, who were not content to just sit on the couch and watch the Grammy’s.

In my musical journeys, I have encountered two types of people – those who love Danko Jones, and those who have never heard of Danko Jones. If you are a fan of straight up rock and roll in the Motorhead spirit, check out Danko Jones.

The band has been thrilling audiences with their energetic live performances and funny anecdotes for over 2 decades. Danko Jones plays guitar and sings, John Calabrese plays the bass, and Rich Knox has manned the drums for the past 6 years.

The show in the beautiful Observatory theater in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego was very interactive. Danko had several conversations with the crowd, discussing the merits of specific song requests, and encouraging those who had been dragged along to let themselves move and feel the spirit of rock and roll.

They will release their new album “A Rock Supreme” on April 26th, 2019. The song titles promise more fun songs to sing along to. A new single “Dance Dance Dance” is out now, as well as a fan-filmed video for “Burn In Hell”.
