Aftershock returns to Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA October 10-13 for its 12^th year with its biggest lineup yet. The 4-day destination festival will feature the only U.S. festival play for Iron Maiden, the exclusive West Coast performance for Slayer – one of only three shows in nearly 5 years – Slipknot as one of the number one requested bands, and the first Aftershock appearance for Mötley Crüe, making it an event not to be missed!

One of America’s most unique events—Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival—returns to historic Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio for its 6^th year, July 19, 20 & 21 with a music lineup packed with top rock acts, more than 115 tattoo artists and haunted attractions.

During the festival, Inkcarceration attendees have the opportunity to get inked at the onsite tattoo convention hosted inside the world-famous historic prison made famous by the film The Shawshank Redemption. In addition, fans can take self-guided tours of the historic and reportedly haunted Ohio State Reformatory for free during INK, and this is the only time outside the Halloween season that the award-winning haunt Blood Prison is open. Blood Prison is available to Inkcarceration pass holders onsite for an additional fee.

In order to capture some of the supernatural experiences at Ohio State Reformatory, with the help of bands who’ve played Inkcarceration, DWP launched the paranormal investigative YouTube series Voices of Paranormal Prison in 2023. The first season features artists such as Pantera, Corey Taylor, Anthrax, Megadeth and GWAR exploring the haunted prison. Bad Wolves At WJRR’s Earthday Birthday 2023 In Orlando

Orlando’s rock station 101.1 WJRR celebrated their 30th Earthday Birthday concert on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. The Orlando Amphitheater stage was used as the secondary stage. A massive main stage was built on the grass in the fairgrounds, with tons of room available for vendors, charities, food and drink.

Doc Coyle and Bad Wolves played through their catalog of hits. The crowd sang loudly to everything they have heard on WJRR.

Their setlist featured several songs from the latest album “Dear Monsters”, which is their first with new lead vocalist Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz.

John Boecklin, Chris Cain, Doc Coyle and Kyle Konkiel braved the scorching sun to produce a dynamic performance.

Breaking Benjamin finished off the night with an incredible long set full of hits. The crowd sang along passionately to every word. They went on earlier than planned, due to a last minute cancellation from Falling In Reverse, but nobody seemed to mind. Ben Burnley even brought his son onstage for several songs, playing along on a miniature BB branded guitar. People of all ages were thrilled by the emotional performance.

Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless have come along way since her childhood acting days. They now boast an extensive catalog of hit songs and an enchanting live show. The band paused the show at one point, to alert security and medical that someone in the pit needed help.

Lajon Witherspoon and Sevendust played the heaviest set of the day, including the debut of their brand new song “Fence”. They also had to stop the show to get help for someone in the crowd. For Sevendust, a concert is a family reunion, so they always go out of their way to look out for everyone. They also give their all, every single time they play. John Connolly was still jumping and shredding, despite finishing his first marathon in Boston earlier this week, raising money in support of Down Syndrome charities and Orlando’s “Take A Chance For Charity” movement.

Dorothy Martin and her band made a spiritual connection with their performance. Their songs are inspirational, and Dorothy’s vocal range elevates their delivery to gospel levels.

Doc Coyle and Bad Wolves played through their catalog of hits. The crowd sang loudly to everything they have heard on WJRR.

Beartooth got a late start but made up for it with a strong performance.

The 5^th annual Blue Ridge Rock Festival took place in Alton, Virginia on September 8 – 11, 2022. Day one was headlined by Ghost, with notable support coming from a wide spectrum of artists, including Ice Cube, Anthrax, Daughtry, Jelly Roll, In This Moment, Stone Temple Pilots and Nothing More.

The massive 4 day rock music festival tried to recover from the logistical nightmares of 2021 by moving to a new site near the Virginia International Raceway. While the venue was a slight improvement over the remote park used last year, I never saw any racetrack, facilities or parking lots.

The parking was over 5 miles from the event, and there did not seem to be nearly enough buses. Fans could be seen waiting in massive lines to leave the parking field, to enter the venue, and to return to their vehicles after the show. The third and fourth stages were miles from the side-by-side main stages, up and down big hills which left little time to move between sections and actually see all of the bands.

Despite all of the hardships and difficulties, fans were excited to see an incredible lineup, representing every genre of rock and roll. The overall production and sound were on point. The only problem with such an extensive collection of bands was deciding which ones to see, and which sadly had to be missed. While the two main stages alternated acts, it was a long walk to the other side, and making that trek meant missing someone else.

I definitely missed more acts than I saw. The highlights of the day for me were Ghost, Anthrax, Ice Cube, Daughtry, Nothing More, Spiritbox, Fire From The Gods and a rare reunion show from Shadows Fall. Blue Ridge Rock Festival definitely goes out of their way to deliver special shows, such as reunion shows and rare appearances.

I managed to capture photographs of the aforementioned highlights, as well as A Skylit Drive, Unearth, Vampires Everywhere, Pop Evil, Bad Wolves, and In This Moment.

I would have loved to see other bands, but there are just too many stages and too many bands. Among the bands I would have loved to experience were Islander, Palisades, Red, Brand Of Sacrifice, Hawthorne Heights, Hinder, We Came As Romans, Cannibal Corpse, Sleeping With Sirens, Stone Temple Pilots and Jelly Roll.

It may have been better to book fewer artists, and invest more money into supporting the fans, including more buses, more facilities and more showers for the campers. BRRF bills itself as being “Fan-Driven”, so hopefully they will continue to listen to, and support, their dedicated fans.

Tickets and campsites are already selling well for next year, proving that die hard metal fans will endure anything to experience the power of live music, and the feeling of connecting with other people who are just as mental about metal as they are. Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2022 has announced their full lineup and daily schedules, and we cannot wait for this event to start its engines. With the world-class lineup in place, plans for the new venue at Virginia International Raceway are taking shape. Ghost, Mudvayne, Slipknot and Disturbed are the main headliners on Thursday through Sunday, September 8-11, 2022, with a bonus Wednesday night event featuring Puddle Of Mudd. Single day and weekend general admission and VIP passes for Welcome To Rockville are on sale now. Festivalgoers are encouraged to buy early and save as pass prices increase in throughout the coming months based on level quantities. A limited number of specially priced tickets for military personnel are on sale now via GovX.

Welcome To Rockville campers get the ultimate experience, spending five days on the festival field right in the middle of all the action and with the quickest access to all the stages. Amenities include indoor restrooms and showers, in and out privileges, and a general store for supplies. A limited number of Weekend Camping Packages are available for both car and tent and RVs. Admission to the festival is not included in Weekend Camping Packages and must be purchased separately.

The annual DIMEBASH is an all-star jam honoring the life and legacy of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, the late co-founder and guitarist of Pantera and Damageplan, and the unofficial kickoff party for the NAMM convention. Jose Mangin and Riki Rachtman co-hosted the event on January 16, 2020 at The Observatory OC in Santa Ana, California.

Over 5 incredible hours, artists from dozens of bands rotated on and off the stage, performing 40 songs, including Pantera classics and other legendary tunes. Sadly, this event now also honors the late Vinnie Paul, drummer of Pantera, Damageplan and Hellyeah, and Dimebag’s brother. Both men were more than stellar musicians, they were incredible human beings who brought light into so many lives. It is no surprise that their musical peers and friends show up in droves to honor their memory by playing their songs, and sharing their love for these two giants.

Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin kicked things off on lead vocals, performing the second song from all over the crowd, as fans surfed him from the front of the house all the way back to the stage. He also shared emotional speeches about the power of music and love and gratitude. Riki Rachtman also told stories from his days on MTV’s Headbangers Ball, where he was forced to call him “Diamond” Darrell instead of “Dimebag” due to outrageous censorship.

Ron Williams of RONZ WORLD Custom Painted Guitars delivered yet another amazing original piece, which was auctioned off, as the winner was chosen by Rita Haney, Dime’s longtime girlfriend and keeper of his legacy. Proceeds from the event will benefit music education and animal rescues.

After the show, VIP guests were able to join the artists backstage to enjoy Back Beat BBQ, which none other than Dave Grohl himself had been cooking since 8:00 that morning. This was the best pulled pork and ribs that I have ever eaten. Is there nothing this man cannot do? All in all, it was an emotional, empowering evening of entertainment and excess.

In addition to Metallica, who will perform two different sets (Friday, May 8 and Sunday, May 10), fan favorite Disturbed will headline Saturday, May 9. The release of their third song, “Sober,” defines the direction of, not just the band as a whole, but vocalist Tommy Vext himself. The song’s powerful, driving percussions set the stage for Vext’s story of a ruinous relationship, steeped in addiction and self-desecration, that finds recovery possible for those who can stay the course. “The song is very personal to me about my recovery,” says Vext. “The message is very powerful to not give up on ourselves or the people who are trying – who are really, really trying to make and better themselves.” Bad Wolves came to Vext as an opportunity to try his craft again after his stint in Divine Heresy was brought down by his own demons and addictions, a childhood family life to the extent that most nightmares never reach, and an adult existence that took him even deeper into that hell.

Yet, it was a call from another addict, a kid looking for help, that brought Vext off the suicidal edge, literally, and into a life of continued sobriety and service. Vext declared in an August 2018 interview for Psychology Today , titled Tommy Vext and the Deafening Sound of Self-Termination: “Because when we are in that state of self-termination it’s so deafening–the only way to break out of it is to have contact with people who literally have it worse and are still hopeful. And that’s the most powerful thing about altruism. It’s the foundation of my recovery and it’s the fabric of everything I do. I think we’re all here for a reason, and we’re all here for a purpose. Some of us have to find our purpose, and sometimes it’s thrust upon us. . . Such is life.”

During the third annual Rock to Recovery Benefit Concert last year, Bad Wolves vocalist Tommy Vext was awarded the “Rock to Recovery Service Award,” for his outstanding influence and dedication in helping others fight their own battles dealing with drug addiction and alcoholism. Vext has been sober for over 10 years now. His blunt honesty about his battle and commitment to staying sober has continued to inspire many both in the music industry and beyond.

Breakout rock band Bad Wolves announce their sophomore album, N.A.T.I.O.N., and release date, Friday, October 25^th, via Eleven Seven Music. Pre-order HERE and receive an immediate download of tracks “Killing Me Slowly” and “I’ll Be There.”

Bad Wolves have proven to be the unprecedented global breakthrough rock act of 2018 and aim to continue that momentum with N.A.T.I.O.N. The stunning 12-track follow-up to their debut album, Disobey, is a bit of a departure – staying in the same realm musically, but breaking beyond. As vocalist Tommy Vext explains, “We’ve honed it in and really delivered a more focused version of Bad Wolves’ sound. Basically, it’s like pouring steroids on everything we love about the first record to create an album that’s a roller coaster of emotional experience.”

Founding member and drummer John Boecklin adds, “N.A.T.I.O.N. is definitely a big step in the right direction, we’re still evolving. It’s only our second record and I’m very excited about it.”

Bad Wolves consists of vocalist Tommy Vext (ex-Divine Heresy), drummer John Boecklin (ex-DevilDriver), guitarist Doc Coyle (Vagus Nerve, ex-God Forbid), guitarist Chris Cain (Bury Your Dead), and bassist Kyle Konkiel (ex-In This Moment). On June 19^th, 2018, Bad Wolves presented a $250,000 check to Dolores O’Riordan’s four children, with a continued promise to donate all of their royalties to the children.

The 13th annual Rocklahoma wrapped another successful weekend Friday, May 24, Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 at Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor, OK. America’s Biggest Memorial Day Weekend Party had its biggest year yet, with over 77,000 on hand to witness memorable performances from some of today’s top rock artists, including Korn, Disturbed, Shinedown, and more.

Rocklahoma 2019 featured 56 bands on three stages over three days, led by headliners Korn, Disturbed, and Shinedown, along with Bush, Seether, In This Moment, Steel Panther, Jackyl, Asking Alexandria, Tech N9NE, Blackberry Smoke, Buckcherry, Beartooth, Sevendust, Black Stone Cherry, Avatar, Fever 333, Lita Ford, Palaye Royale, Ace Frehley, The Steel Woods, New Years Day, Bad Wolves, The Glorious Sons, Light The Torch, Alien Weaponry, Hyro The Hero, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, and more.

Fans were invited to bid on autographed guitars that were being signed by Rocklahoma artists all weekend long. The festival’s annual guitar auction raised $46,500 for local Oklahoma charities.

Rocklahoma also featured a variety of unique attractions, including: Rock, Brews & BBQ, The Roadhouse, Budweiser Clydesdales, Torchy’s Taco Bar, Rock 66 Marketplace, Vandalism Graffiti Art Project, Risk – Graffiti Art, Monster Energy Lounge, and the annual “Miss Rocklahoma” competition, where Heatherlee won the title of Miss Rocklahoma 2019.

Premier independent U.S. music festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents has announced the highly anticipated music and comedy lineup for their new destination event, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, which debuts at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, May 17, Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, 2019.

Multiplatinum artists Foo Fighters, System Of A Down and Disturbed lead the spectacular and diverse music lineup for Sonic Temple, which will also feature performances from Bring Me The Horizon, The Prodigy, Ghost, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Chevelle, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, The Cult, and many other chart-topping and up-and-coming music artists. SiriusXM’s Comedy & Spoken Word Tent will include comedy from Andrew Dice Clay, Pauly Shore, and others, as well as a spoken word set from Henry Rollins. The festival will feature three music stages, premium food and beverage selections, art installations, and enhanced onsite experiences.
