The Canadian power trio known as Anvil brought Metal on Metal on Comedy to the Brick By Brick in San Diego, California on April 4, 2019. Vocalist/guitarist Steve “Lips” Kudlow, drummer extraordinaire Robb Reiner, and bassist Chris Robertson delivered 4 decades worth of good time rock and roll over a 2 hour set.
Rock and roll talk show host and comedian Don Jamieson provided direct support. You don’t often see a comic opening for a rock band, but Anvil is a band with a great sense of humor, and Jamieson’s music-themed stories and jokes were a perfect complement.
Another hard rocking trio is also on the tour – Santa Cruz, California’s own Archer Nation. These guys are young, hungry and talented. They had a lot of energy and put on a great show.
The tour continues and is a great, full night of entertainment.
