Static-X Takes Wisconsin Death Trip To San Diego

On March 12, 2020, a sold out crowd witnessed an intense live rock show, as Static-X performed their debut album “Wisconsin Death Trip” and more at the Brick By Brick in San Diego, California. Society 1 opened the show. Mystery vocalist / guitarist Xer0 performed in place of the late Wayne Static as he has for the past year, along with the original Wisconsin Death Trip lineup of bassist Tony Campos, drummer Ken Jay, and guitarist Koichi Fukuda.

This may end up being the last live concert many attend for a little while, so everyone took advantage and filled the small club. There was no way to observe “social distancing” and the crowd moved and sang along with joy and passion. The only thing that seemed different was the fact that Corona had been removed from the beer menu, although that may have been coincidental. That left plenty of local San Diego craft brews and metal themed options. About half of the upcoming shows at Brick By Brick have been postponed or outright canceled, which means the other half are still planned to go on.
