Kobra And The Lotus opened up for Sebastian Bach at a sold out Ramona Mainstage outside San Diego, California on October 10, 2019. The packed club was obviously there to see Bas perform the first Skid Row record in its entirety, but they were thrilled to be blessed with such a talented and entertaining opening act.
The band featured tracks off of their just-released album “Evolution”, including their latest single “Thundersmith”. Frontwoman Kobra Paige says about “Thundersmith”: “We’ve laid the sauce on HARD!!! The guitar licks are groovy as ever and the beat is anthemic. I wrote my vocals about my journey in the music industry as one woman single-handedly pushing a band. This is my way of saying I haven’t given up yet. I am what I am. I keep getting up and trying no matter what happens. I’m proud of who I am, I’m going to keep being who I am, and we all should be. If you feel me, hop on my train. Like Chris Cornell said “To be yourself is all that you can do”. Let’s live empowered, be fucking brilliant, like we we’re supposed to so we can be/do better for ourselves and everyone around us.”
That positive attitude and determined spirit were clearly evident in their performance and the expressions on each band member’s face throughout the energetic set. The crowd ate up every morsel of energy and clearly enjoyed the show. Jasio Kulakowski and Ronny Gutierrez on guitars, Brad Kennedy on bass and Marcus Lee on drums are a perfect foundation for Paige’s powerful voice. This is definitely a group to check out.
