John 5 and the Creatures finished their Invasion 2019 tour at the Brick By Brick in San Diego, California on April 14, 2019. World famous guitarist John 5 toured in support of his upcoming instrumental album ‘Invasion’. Bassist Ian Ross and drummer Logan Miles Nix are the creatures laying down the rhythm for one of the most talented and entertaining guitarist around. In addition to the amazing music, the stage was filled with props, video screens and creatures wandering on and off the stage. This was a truly entertaining show and the sold out crowd was filled with joy throughout the night.
Guitarist Nita Strauss and her band were special guests on this night, and they also played new material off of her debut album ‘Controlled Chaos’. They played a long set of high energy instrumentals, with her drummer, bassist, guitarist and keyboardist providing a perfect backdrop for Nita’s screaming solos. A vocalist joined in for one song, ‘Eighteen’, which Nita knows well from her other gig in Alice Cooper’s band. This band is a must-see live act.
Jared James Nichols performed his high energy blues show, singing and shredding with passion.
Dead Girls Academy opened the show. They are also an entertaining, powerful band. All in all, this was an incredible night for guitar lovers at San Diego’s famous Brick By Brick.
